This is Tessa Bailey at her finest. I love marriage of convenience trope, and this book did it SO WELL. I immediately fell in love with August and Natalie. I love that the third-act "breakup" was so brief and did not uproot the story at all. Please, more like this, Tessa!
Tessa Bailey does it again! Her books are so funny and cute but definitely not missing out on the spice! There’s such a good mix of spice and cuteness you know she’s always going to write a good book
Natalie Vos moved back home to Napa after being fired from her investment firm. Shortly after returning home, Natalie met August, a former Navy Seal, and they hit it off immediately. Until August put his foot in his mouth and offended Natalie. Fast forward a few months and Natalie and August still disdain each other. However, they could both benefit from a temporary marriage of convenience. As long as they don’t kill each other in the meantime.
I DNF the first A Vine Mess, but wanted to give this one a try. I’m glad I did. The story was entertaining and the spice was hot throughout. While it takes a bit for Natalie and August to become civil towards one another, they’re attracted to each other from the start.
Tessa Bailey never disappoints!!! I LOVED this book. I love the characters and the chemistry they have. It really makes reading the books so interesting and fun.
The beginning was a bit hard for me to get into, and I felt a bit bored. However, once I got to know the main characters a bit better, the story became more interesting. I really enjoyed the banter between the characters and the setting, but I didn't feel too attached to the main characters. Overall, a fun and easy romance to pass the time.
Having not read Book 1, I had no trouble jumping in to Book 2.
I found the situation completely unrealistic and could not get into the story at all because of it.
I read fantasy all the time so unrealistic stories are my jam. But I guess in a Romance book, I expect it to be based in some sort of reality.
Overall it was cute and there was lots of banter. But it didn’t leave a lasting impression on me.
Die hard romance readers will enjoy this one I think so give it a try!
Tessa Bailey continues to be a faithful go-to author for me. Unfortunately Yours uses her signature banter and both character (while not the warmest or fuzziest - especially Natalie) melt around each other. And I definitely enjoyed this more than book 1 and this series is on an uphill trajectory for me.
Late, but LOVE! The best follow-up to a great first installment. I'd argue this is better than its predecessor - higher stakes, more engaging, and a perfect FMC/MMC pairing. So. Good.
I actually enjoyed this book so much more than the first one. Even though I don't have much in common with Natalie, I felt a real connection to her, which actually doesn't happen that often for me with books.
Marriage of convenience is such a fun trope, and I love how this one played out, and their little bit of history and minor enemies to lovers was a nice little addition.
3.5/ 5 Stars
I had a fun time with this read. I love a fake marriage trope and of course it was a Tessa Bailey so I knew I would enjoy it. I will admit that this took me a little bit to get into and feel connected. the first 30ish % I almost DNF'D. This was just me personally. I just wasn't feeling it. However I'm so glad I pushed through because I loved reading Natalie and August's banter. Their chemistry was great, once I got in the groove I ate this book up. I would totally recommend giving this a read.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Tessa Bailey really delivered with this one! I loved it everything about it. Marriage for convince & enemies-to-lovers are two of my favorite tropes, and this was very well done. Natalie and August were a dream couple. I loved the banter and tension between them so much. I've never been to Napa or CA, but after reading this, I'm absolutely dying to go there and do a wine tour. This was the perfect light, fun, Summer read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Avon & Harper Voyager for the ARC of this!
I love this series so much! This one had some of my favorite tropes all tied into one - rivals to lovers and fake marriage to get an inheritance. There was lots of chemistry between the main characters and they both worked hard to understand the other, which is great to see.
Tessa Bailey never fails.
A marriage is convience romance with the PERFECT tension and close proximity?
Like I’m telling you this book will have everything your looking for and this is by far my fave written book by Tessa Bailey that I ended up getting a physical copy.
Thank you NetGalley for this arc!
August and Natalie are a couple that shouldn't really work together, but they complement each other so well. They're both extremely strong-willed, which ends up making their marriage of convenience work so well. I loved reading their story after their characters were introduced in Secretly Yours, and I loved the epilogue even more.
Overall, I liked the second installment of the series much more than I liked the first, but both are incredible.

Tessa Baileys writing is GOLD! Her characters are so in depth and you get truly invested in their story. Highly recommend!
Unfortunately Yours was a true delight. The story revolves around Natalie Vos, who returned to Napa after parting ways with her fiancé and job. She runs a successful business and is intelligent, but nobody, not even her family, wants to hear her opinions. Although Natalie is having a good time in Napa, she misses the bustling city of New York. She won't be able to return if she doesn't have the money to support her ideas. Her trust fund is the only way to access money quickly, and the only way to access that is to get married.
August and Natalie were actual people, not just two characters on a page. Mainly when it came to her relationship with her family, Natalie was a character in which I could see myself. August was incredibly silly, naive, and cute. After meeting them in Secretly Yours, I was very interested in Natalie and August, but I was hesitant to read their story because I wasn't too fond of the first book. I was surprised that August and Natalie's story deals with more challenging issues like alcoholism, PTSD, and growing up in an unhappy household because Tessa's writing usually has a lighter tone. The best banter was that between August and Natalie. They fought for the entire duration of the book, and I loved all of it. They couldn't help but hurt each other's feelings at first because they didn't know each other, but they always knew how to say sorry and stop prodding the painful areas.
Tessa Bailey deserves praise for her skill at fusing heartfelt moments, humor, and spice. The book is enjoyable because it balances fun entertainment and in-depth emotional exploration. Add Unfortunately Yours to your to-read list if you're looking for a hot rom-com that will make you smile and swoon.
While better than Secretly Yours - this was not my favorite Tessa Bailey story. I'm not sure what it is about this series, but it doesn't hit the mark for me - while others have found it engaging, I still find myself looking for the character development from It Happened One Summer (which I absolutely LOVED!) - while cute and steamy, this just felt forced and not for me.
Good thing it's a book about wine - you'll definitely need it.

But then I picked up UNFORTUNATELY YOURS and fell in love even more with the series. It’s fun, heartfelt, and has some real depth in the characters. I loved Natalie and August together, their chemistry, and how they worked to help each other.
I’m excited for book three (I hope there will be a book three!?)!
I didn't get a chance to finish the full book before it expired. I was at 80% and this is the Tessa Bailey I love. The fake marriage, enemies to lovers was perfect. Tessa nails enemies to lovers every time. The banter between the two main characters was perfect. I thought at times August seemed a little intense, but I loved the "he fell first" aspect and overall from what I read I loved. I'm going to order this book so I can finish and I can't wait!
This was my first Tessa Bailey book but will NOT be my last. The tropes in this book are all of my favorites and then some. The characters are relatable, the tension is palpable, the slow burn is agonizing (but oh so worth it).
I loved the pacing and tone in this book. Dual POV!
LOVE LOVE LOVE
This book is the second in the series but can be read as a standalone.
