Nicole Trope has such a great way of telling a story! She manages to make this a quick read while still giving a complete story, loaded with detail. Her characters are relatable and real, with a great deal of background.
The Stay at Home Mother was an interesting read because it was fast-paced and very twisty! Although, you know eventually where this story will go, you took about 6 wrong turns before you got there!
Thank you to Nicole Trope, NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC.
If you’re a fan of fast paced thrillers I highly recommend you get this when it’s released on January 3.

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. Nicole is one of my favorite thriller writers, but I feel like her books fall into two categories: AMAZING or less amazing. This one is actually in the middle. While, I enjoyed the book, she has had some I couldn't put down, and others that I felt were just off. This story takes a family that needs to relocate due to gambling issues. The lady across the street becomes friends with the mother and ends up having all these secrets of her own. There was def suspense and secrets in this book. but I did feel "Flynn" was very predictable. Good ending though! I knew something was off between those two but not what it ended up being!

Wow!!! Nicole Trope has done it again with this taut, perfectly paced thriller! Gabby is a successful mommy blogger on Facebook, popular with her online followers but lonely in real life. Andrea, heavily pregnant and chasing a three-year-old, is physically and emotionally exhausted. Just moved into the neighborhood and far from family and friends, she’s grateful for the support Gabby seems to be offering. Of course, not everything is what it seems and when a child goes missing, those secrets start to unravel.
It might sound cliché, but I couldn’t put this book down! The prologue hooked me immediately and before I knew it, I was completely invested in this storyline and just had to find out what was going to happen. The character development is nothing short of brilliant, with an entire gamut of emotions – fear, loneliness, tension, anguish – radiating off the page. Alternating POVs and an unreliable narrator had me glued to this story, devouring the pages through every twist and turn. And that epilogue *chef’s kiss* pure perfection! Add in a valuable lesson about social media, and you’ve got the perfect combination for suspenseful and remarkably emotional thriller!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for providing me an advance copy of this book.

Andrea has just moved house with her husband and young son. She is expecting their second child in a matter of weeks, the house move being forced by her husband. Gabby across the road welcomes her into the fold, her own son now being a teenager she is happy to have young Jack around as her husband Richard spends much time away, currently being in the states. When Jack is looked after by Gabby one afternoon so Andrea can sleep, she wakes late to find her rather dodgy husband home and Gabby and Jack are nowhere to be found.
This is set in Australia and is a fast-paced page turner of a read. I found myself more than once thinking “just one more chapter” however I had worked out the premise (I do read a lot of psychological thrillers that said). It's one to keep the pages turning with well-developed characters. A mystery, red herrings and clues along the way. A well written book and an intriguing one.

Thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture and Nicole Trope for the opportunity to read an advance copy of THE STAY-AT-HOME MOTHER, due to be published 3 January 2023. I knew when I saw the author was Nicole Trope, it would be a five star book. She writes excellent psychological thrillers that keep you turning pages faster and faster. This novel did not disappoint. The characters were believable and real and well developed. You don’t want to miss this one! It’s a winner.

All thoughts and opinions are my own

Thank you #Netgalley for the advanced copy!
I am a fan of Nicole Trope's work and was excited to get an early copy of her latest thriller. I finished this one in one sitting, I could not put it down! In this book we follow the perspective of two women, new neighbors, each with their own secrets. Andrea is pregnant with a toddler at home, and a husband with a secret gambling issue. They recently moved into a new home to escape her husbands messes. Gabby, who lives across the street, is a mom blogger, obsessed with her teenage son, Flynn. Gabby quickly comes to Andrea's rescue as she senses how overwhelmed she is. Gabby loves children and feeling wanted. But she may love Andrea's son a little too much, as her son is pushing her away in his teenage years.....or is he? We soon start to see gaps/confusion in Gabby's life. While Andrea, begins to questions her husbands whereabouts and actions again. This quick read has shocking ending you don't want to miss! I want another book with these characters and their next steps!

This is the second book I've read by Nicole Trope, and I'm absolutely becoming a big fan. The Stay-At-Home Mother is the kind of thriller that simmers in your mind like a low-boiling stew. And the characters definitely stir the pot!
The story follows Andrea and Terry, parents of a happy toddler boy, and their friendly new neighbor, Gabby. A charming cast of characters you immediately want to both help and trust. But, of course, they have secrets that drive the novel forward like a train that can't be stopped. And we all know the saying about the train wreck you can't look away from...
A perfectly addicting thriller that I could not put down!

Wow, what an incredible twisty read! There is a lot of meat on the bones with well-developed characters, each with their own set of problems. Ms. Trope always manages to make the most complicated characters believable and surprising. Another very well-done story with an ending that you will not see coming!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!

Oh my goodness!!! Such a great book! I think I audibly gasped at the twists, I totally didn't see it coming. I thoroughly enjoyed this I couldn't wait to see how it was all wrapped up but I also didn't want it to end it was that good. Highly recommend!

This is the first book I have read from this author and it definitely won’t be my last. It was a great thriller with twists and turns everywhere.
Andrea and Terry have just moved into a new house which they have had to do due to some mistakes that Terry made. Andrea is heavily pregnant and has a young son so moving to a new area she feels lonely. She befriends gabby who’s life is so together compared to Andrea’s but is it really as Andreas son then goes missing.
Will be reading more from this author. This book was great and will be recommending to everyone who loves a thriller.

A very pregnant Andrea, her husband Terry, and her 3 year old son Jack, move into a rundown house in a decent neighbourhood. Andrea is overwhelmed by the change in their circumstances due to Terry's gambling losses.
She befriends Gabby who lives across the road with her teenage, whose life seems so put together compared to hers.
Until both their son's go missing.
This is what happens when you make friends with a liar.
As usual, Nicole Trope has written a stunningly tense thriller. I could barely put this book down, I just had to know what happened next.
Well written and fast paced. I have to give this a solid 5 stars.
Fantastic book.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Nicole Trope has done it again with The Stay-at-Home Mother. Ms Trope has become an automatic read for me, and I devoured her latest in a single afternoon.
Andrea and her husband have moved into a new neighbourhood with their young son Jack. Heavily pregnant with her second child, Andy is pleased to hit it off right away with her new neighbour Gabby, a successful Mommy blogger, who quickly offers her services as a childminder to relieve some of harried Andy's stress. In an effort to avoid any spoilers, I will say no more, but trust me when I say that you will want to add this one to your TBR immediately.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.

Another fast paced page turner from Nicole Trope. Andy and her husband and small son move into the worse house in a posh neighborhood. They are recovering from losing everything and this house is a way for them to get their feet back on the ground until they can afford to buy another nicer home. Andy is pregnant and really feeling uncomfortable as she nears the date when her daughter will be born. She meets her new neighbor Gabby, who is so friendly and helpful that Andy can't help but rely on her as she has left all of her friends behind. Things start to get stranger and stranger as Andy feels she can't trust her husband, her neighbor or even herself. As Trope's books that I've read thus far this book has smaller chapters, and they are fast reading. As always there is a bit of mystery surrounding our heroine. Another enjoyable read from Nicole Trope!

My Review:
Wow, wow, wow!!!!! Just when I thought I knew what was going on bam the author hits me with a big twist. I knew something was off the whole time but I couldn’t put my finger on it. So when it was all finally revealed I was shocked and speechless. Yet, I also found it so rewarding to know the truth and to know my instincts were right. You can’t trust anyone and everyone has something to hide. All the characters were sneaky and untrustworthy in this one. You didn’t know what or who to believe. I still don’t. I found that some of the characters were worst than others. I certainly didn’t like one character in particular. The story line kept me interested and wanting to know more. I rushed through each chapter like it was my last just so I could know what happened next. That ending was unbelievable and through me off. I wouldn’t have guessed it even if it hit me straight in the face. This author is one of my favorites and will continue to be so. The books she writes are wonderful and leave me wanting more. I truly can’t wait to read another book by her. Hopefully it won’t be too long. I’m not a very patient person.
In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What a great read this was from one of my favourite authors, well written as always with excellent well described characters. It was an absolute page turner which I couldn't stop reading, my heart was in my mouth as there were so many twists and turns with a great ending, everything brought together to a satisfactory conclusion.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for this great ARC which I have no hesitation in recommending.

This was my first book by Nicole Trope! I found this to be a fun popcorn suspense novel. The blurb drew me in but I have to say it was misleading for me. This book went in an entirely different direction than what I expected. Than that ending…. Wow! Can’t wait for the next book by this author! Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this ARC!

Wow! Nicole Trope does it again! I really enjoyed this new domestic thriller. Written in dual timelines and characters. This one hooked me early on and just never let go. Such a great variety of characters that were all relatable. And SO many secrets, lies and manipulations. Nicely done with many twists, turns and reveals. Highly recommend
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book

Ugh! It looks like I am in the minority with my rating and I really wish that I wasn't. I am such a huge fan of Trope. Her novels usually pull me right in and keep me engaged throughout. Unfortunately, this one started very slow and nothing exciting happened until the halfway point. The characters were definitely not lacking in depth. There was so much backstory and inner monologue that I became extremely bored and couldn't wait to finish. Also, some of the plot points were too neatly cleared up or just completely disregarded. One of which is even talked about in the synopsis, so I was very confused about that. Overall, it was an ok read, but I was sadly disappointed. I would still recommend it. I just wasn't a big fan. Hoping her next novel will be better!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for allowing me access to preview this eARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

This author is quickly becoming one of my go-to authors. Her books are always fast paced, twisty, and hard to put down. This one was no exception and I loved that it kept me suspicious of each and every character with all the secrets they held. I didn't know who to trust, who to love or who to hate. The only part I felt could have been left out is the epilogue. I felt the twists and story was perfect as it was and didn't need anything extra. Otherwise, this is another brilliant story from this author and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next. Four Stars.
Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC.
