Have you ever read a book that doesn’t feel like it was written, more like it came into existence and lives of its own accord? That’s what Prophet feels like. A genre-bending triumph of a novel that seems to take a life of it’s own!
When an all american diner appears in the middle of a field in England former partners Sunil Rao, a man with an extraordinary knack for finding the truth of things and Lieutenant Colonel Adam Rubenstein, a military man to the core, are reunited to investigate. Their search leads them to Prophet: a substance that preys on nostalgia, allowing people to create objects from their memories that leave them incapacitated.
I’m so grateful to Grove Atlantic for allowing me to read this phenomenal book! The plot is refreshingly original, the writing is so immersive you feel compelled to keep reading because the characters, places and emotions all feel so real. The romance is a subtle undertone at first and builds to a beautiful ending. Truly a joy to read. All the stars!
Wow…. An amazing read. Blend of genre bending science fiction, mystery and adventure and a relationship story all in one. This book will stick with me for a longtime, I am hoping their might be a sequel. An outstanding read… thank you to #netgalley for the opportunity to review
