An excellent introduction to the Lost Brides & Alien Warriors universe, Tina Moss delivers what readers have come to love and know from alien romances. A favorite trope for this genre is the fated mates and bonds between them. I have always been confused why the women fight these bonds so hard, but Moss flips that element on its head with her FMC.
I binged through this book in only a few hours. The action was fast paced and the romance and chemistry between Elena and Rhonar explosive, I am a sucker for the strong MMC alien that comes to save the human women. Sure, the FMC is strong willed and has the “I can save myself attitude,” but there’s just something that draws me in with those warrior aliens.
I am excited to see the next installments in the series from Moss!
I love Alien abduction romance and Alien's Getaway is a great start to the series. I always have a good time with Tina's Aliens.
Tina Moss knows how to write alien books that change every single time. Her overall concept (humans and aliens) but each story feels unique and special and is not a rinse and repeat story. I cannot wait for any of her next alien books and if you love any alien or barbarian books.. then stop what you are doing and read this one
Thank you to NetGalley for an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review!

I never thought I would find an alien romance that I didn’t care for, but I found it. This book wasn’t bad, necessarily. But it wasn’t great, and every time I put it down I didn’t want to pick it back up, so I just called it quits.
I have read shorter alien romances that do a better job of character development and plot building than this one. Like I said, it wasn’t bad; sentence structure wise, it was well written. But I didn’t care about the characters, because they felt cookie-cutter, and they had no personality. There was nothing unique about it that made it feel “different” than all the other alien romances out there. And when the romance began, it felt very rushed. I didn’t seem as though their attraction to one another was well developed, so every interaction they had felt fake and forced.
Normally I would have finished this book, but since there are so many other better things out there I want to read, I have to move on.
Are you looking for something to fill the sexy alien sized hole in your life? Have you blazed through the entire Ice Planet Barbarian series and just crave more of that extraterrestrial lovin? Well look no further than Tina Moss' new Lost Brides & Alien Warriors series! Filled with perilous journeys and PWP, this is sure to keep you warm on those cold winter nights.
Seriously though, wtf did I just read 🤣 if you like rugged sexy brooding aliens and don't mind cheesyness or spelling and grammatical errors, this is for you! Not me.
Good book and series. Tina Moss is a good storyteller, almost making me believe the series could happen. This book centers on security officer Elana as she finds herself thrown together with the alien Rhonar, who finds out Elana is his mate. As Elana discovers she too is bound to him, she discovers that maybe it’s not so bad.
I spent much of my time reading this in a state of confusion. This is the first work of Tina Moss’s I’ve read, and it is a prequel to a new series, so I only have myself to blame for not knowing what was going on.
Immediately we are thrown into a prison escape off of a spaceship, called a Pleasure Cruise by the antagonists. Elena, the FMC, and her fellow prisoner (who has main character energy, so I’m sure she’ll be getting her own book) are caught by the MMC (Daegan) who boarded the ship for…I have no idea. The bad guys then initiate a self-destruct sequence, so the MMC alien hottie promises to protect and pleasure the FMC until his dying breath. That felt a little extreme to me, to be honest. After crash-landing on a random planet, everything that could go wrong, goes wrong.
Everything happened so fast. Any angst/suspense would immediately be resolved within a few pages. I found myself disinterested in the next bad thing that would happen.
Despite this, I believed that Elena and Daegan cared for each other. Their connection may have been instant, but their concern and care for each other was genuine.
The elements for a compelling story were all there. If this were not my first book set in this world, I think I would have enjoyed the story.

Thank you to NetGalley and City Owl Press for this copy of Alien’s Getaway by Tina Moss.
This book is exactly the quick read that I needed to cleanse my book palate.
It was fast paced, spicy, funny, and had lots of my favorite sci-fi romance tropes, from fated mates to wilderness survival to an unexpectedly adorable sidekick. I don't want to spoil too much on that front, but let's just say that it had me feeling the same way I felt about the otter-based mail delivery service in Sarah Maas's Crescent City.
Our protagonist, Elena, is a boricua security officer from Earth's first deep space vessel who was captured by bad-guy aliens to be sold as a slave. She is rescued by our good-guy alien hero, the warrior Daegan, who has cool metal tattoos and thinks that this feisty little human might be his fated mate. All hell breaks loose as they try to escape, and the two of them are forced to get to know each other (and explore their instant attraction) on a strange planet where their escape pod crash lands.
If you like a brawny alien hero who likes to take charge in the bedroom, you're going to like Daegan.
I will definitely pick up the next book in the series when I need something short, sweet, and interstellar.
The beginning started out way too quickly for me. Maybe if I'd read others from the series I'd feel different, but we probably won't find that out.
It was an entertaining and enjoyable introduction to a new human/alien romance series.
This is the first story in the Lost Brides and Alien Warriors series and seems to be loosely connected to Ms. Moss' Earth Brides & Alien Warriors series.
The characters were interesting and likable we have human women who are scattered and missing because of an attack on their ship an Rhonar warriors who are more than willing to look for them in hopes of finding their true mate and unlocking their emotions.
Fascinating story, I look forward to more of the series - there are many more Earth women to be found.
Thank-you to City Owl Press and NetGalley for providing me with a digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book didn't seem to have a great storyline and a lot of the start was advertisements, very short book.
This is a fast-paced story, steamy and action-packed with likable characters. The story line is engaging and pulls the reader right in with detailed world building to make it feel like you are right there with them. Combined with the unexpected twists and turns that keep the story suspenseful, you will enjoy every moment of this alien adventure.
Alien's Getaway by Tina Moss.
Lost Brides and Alien Warriors, Prequel.
As a security officer of Earth’s first deep space vessel, I always believed there were aliens in outer space. But I never imagined they’d be total jerks. I might not have bought a ticket for the Space Z Pleasure Cruise, yet here I am, brought aboard as the...entertainment.
Abducted and far from home, I must rely on new alien allies to escape my captors. A sexy Rhonar warrior might be the biggest wild card of them all. When our enemies set off the self- destruct sequence, we’re thrown into an escape pod together.
Crash-landing on a distant planet was not part of the getaway plan.
Alone with the big lug, he’s soon calling me his fated mate. Too bad I’m not the romantic kind. Yet, as we fight for each other’s survival I can’t help but be drawn to the alien warrior’s inner fire. And well, his outside is smoking hot too.
Will we be able to find a path free of the planet’s twisted caverns? And do I dare trust in the cosmic bond pulling us together?
Only the stars know.
Really good read. Read in one sitting. 5,.
I received a copy of Alien's Getaway (Lost Brides and Alien Warriors, Prequel) by Tina Moss from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This novel was okay, but I was not captivated and felt no connection to the characters or the plot. The summary seemed interesting, but the novel’s pacing was uneven and the characters were kind of boring. Just not my cup of tea.
