This was such a fun an nice rom com!! I seriouslly laughed a lot reading this book..Mercedes is amazing and i want one in my lufe tbh!! This is just a fun and light rom com, perfect for the summer break!! Im really glad i picked this.

Insert cute flirting over Superman, accidental special brownies and a money-grabbing and conniving cousin who will inherit Amber's 5 million if Amber doesn't marry Ryan Scott. This book is filled with fun, coincidence and mishaps for days.

Loved it.. It was funny and some drama suspense.... A slow build romance book.. A would they wouldn't they kind of book as well... A book worth reading again

This was a very middle-of-the-road book for me. But I do know people I can recommend this book to that will love and enjoy it.

Great read! It's an adorably cute story! The plot is funny and sweet! There are some scenarios that had me literally laughing out loud! A small amount of drama which makes the story all the more good. I like the author's style of writing. Indefinitely recommend this one!

I typically don’t go for over the top, super cheesy, kinda satirical reads but I really enjoyed this one. It was laugh out loud funny. It was over the top in a enjoyable way. I really enjoyed how unique the plot was. I haven’t read anything like it. The only thing I didn’t like was how unauthentic the dialogue felt at times. I will definitely read more from this author!

This book was absolutely fantastic! Filled with fun and humor and plenty of laugh out loud moments, I just couldn't put it down. From the very first chapter, I got pulled into the story and the romantic and comedic storyline kept me interested and invested till the end. The story kicks off with the reading of Amber's uncle's will, and her finding out she inherits 5 million dollars. The catch - she has to marry her old high school sweetheart, Ryan Scott. If she doesn't do what the will says, then the money goes to her cousin and all she gets is an old car. Let me tell you, the reading of the will is definitely one of those laugh out loud moments! And the laughter and fun only continue to grow from there. This story had a wonderful cast of well-developed characters who are realistic and endearing and you can't help but fall in love with them. It was a fun, uplifting, and delightful story that is perfect if you need a little pick-me-up. I think this author is definitely one of my new favorite rom-com writers! You can't go wrong with Rich Amooi's books. I wholeheartedly recommend!

Rich Amooi is a master at rom-com, never failing to make his readers laugh or leave them with a smile. Out of all of his books that I’ve read (and I’ve still got a few to go to catch up) Amber and Scotty might be my favorite. I loved their banter and the chemistry was explosive. Watching their romance and relationship develop was pure enjoyment. Add in the fun side characters—Stella, Dean, Scotty’s parents, the crazy cousin—along with the fabulously fun plot and you’ve got a non-stop page-turner that you won’t want to put down. Loved it!

a quick and easy cozy and clean romcom with dual POV, plenty of nerdy references, a great cast of characters, and a fun storyline that is easy to get lost in.

we follow FMC Amber after she is informed that in order to receive her sizable inheritance from her eccentric uncle, she needs to marry a man named Ryan Scott... in 6 weeks! so the search begins to find her Mr Right Now, but will she pass up her Mr Right in order to get her inheritance that could change her entire life?!

this was my first Rich Amooi book and it was super cute!

I really enjoyed this book. Equal parts funny and sweet, this book kept me entertained from start to finish. This book has well developed characters and each has there own time to let their personalities shine. I hate when books has too many side characters but this book strikes the right balance.

The Backup Groom by RIch Amooi is a fast and engaging romance read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has a bunch of lovable characters, both main as well as side ones. Beautiful setting, lots of laughter and is highly entertaining.

There is undeniable attraction and chemistry between the main protagonists, but there is no steam This is a chrming, slow burn, clean romance, perfect for those who prefer romance to sex.

It is fast to read, easy, nicely paced and interesting romance novel which I read almost in one setting. I had fun reading this book and I am definitely going to pick up more books from this author.

This was a fun romance with two likable main characters. The plot is ridiculous, but the story hits every beat of the tropes on the nose in an enjoyable way with a real happy ending.
Tropes: fake engagement, friends to lovers, marriage for inheritance, forced proximity, quirky secondary character best friends.
Four stars because it could easily have lost several chapters worth of filler and fluff.

The whole premise of this book is that in order to receive the 5 million dollars from Uncle G's will, Amber must marry Ryan Scott. Bring on all the crazy Ryan's!

Coffee shop owner Scotty is desperately waiting for his divorce to go through and man has it been a long time. Of course every time he sees Amber, his day gets a bit brighter.

I really liked the subtle humor in this book, from just the ridiculous Mercedes to the unique names for all the guys. A bonus for Scottys parents being quite eccentric too. The characters in this book are just plain fun.

Marrying for love is way better than just for money, but why not try to have both!

Review: What a cute and easy Rom-Com. Honestly I feel like reading a romantic/cutesy book by a male author (please don’t come for me it’s just my opinion) is not in my norm, but I am glad I took the leap and tried this author. It was weird or overly cheesy in the least and I like the idea of the coffee shop. It was an all around light hearted read. A race toward the money. Poor Mercedes she just never stood a chance.

This is the first book I've read by Rich Amooi, and I would describe it as a very fun romcom to read.

In the beginning of the story, Amber just inherited 5 million dollars from her uncle. The catch? The catch is that she must marry her old boyfriend, Ryan Scott! If Amber fails to do this, then she only inherits an old car while her cousin will get the money. Of course her cousin would love nothing more than to stop this from happening, and Mercedes tries to sabotage this every chance she gets. Meanwhile, Amber searches for every possible "Ryan Scott", hoping to outsmart the system. Her best friend and her create unique hilarious nicknames to tell them apart.. Can one of these Ryans and Amber find love? You will have to dive into the book yourself to find out. Without giving too much away, the book comes with many laughs and is fun all around.
