Forbidden romance? Age gap? Student teacher pairing? Say less! Sam checked some of my favorite boxes here in this spicy duel POV romance. Their chemistry was off the charts, but there were a few moments where I wanted to toss my kindle out the window! This was a quick read for me, well paced with excellent character development! I was sad to see it come to a close, but the ending had me squealing in the best way!

A fun quick read with a teacher-student, that has an age gap with it as well. Teal Larson is attracted to her next-door neighbor who is tattooed and sexy looking in her mind. She likes looking from a far. Everything changes when her mother asks Jaxson Rebel to tutor her daughter. He finds it difficult because she is attractive and he knows he must stay away from her. See what happens in this story between the two of them, this is a good book.

The storyline was well thought out and the character development was very well written. I enjoyed the back and forth and the slow burn of the relationship.

This book was good!
The ending was really cute.

I liked the character development between the characters.
I wish the main character would have stuck up for herself more

Do recommend!!!

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I look forward to reading more. I really enjoyed the age gap of Teal and Jaxson and their dual points of view. I wasn't so keen on the Mum and Dads info in the book and thought the ending was a little rushed. I also thought the supernatural twist on the story was something different for this type of book and unexpected. Thank you very much Netgalley and Evernight Publishing for the e-arc in return for my honest opinion.

I'm a big fan of age gap, "taboo" books and I really liked this book. I really felt for the female MC and her family situation and I'm so glad she gets her HEA. Would have loved a more extensive epilogue to finish their story off.

I wanted to like this book after after having read one of Sam Crescent's MC books and really enjoyed it. I just never found the plot of this book really grabbed me. It started off promising, however I found the scenarios in the book not believable enough for me - perhaps because I'm a mom of teens - I couldn't relate to the mother's behavior and reactions - I'm sure it would appeal to readers who like taboo age gap novels. .

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. I will read anything by this author and this book was no different. I loved it. I did feel some kind of way about the house being cursed to bring people together but hey, who am I to say it wasn't true. I loved how they fought their attraction and didn't give into it right away. I don't like when boy meets girl, girl is naked in five minutes storyline so this was right up my alley! A must read for any romantic

when you read a Sam Crescent book you know what you going to get. Something hot and delicious. Must read like all of the other books.

Short, taboo read. I felt so bad for h because her parents are vile. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the whole cursed house thing. I either like no magic or full on fantasy. Otherwise I liked it because I’m a sucker for taboo/teacher student reads.

3.5 This is the first time reading a Sam Cresent Book

Teal and Jaxson's chemistry is chef's kiss. The Age Gap and steaminess of the book.

Age Gap is my favorite romance genre but unfortunately this one fell flat for me. I needed more developed characters i.e. who is the teacher. What is his background? He seemed to have little remorse for his relationship with Teal. And who is Teal? Why does her Mother feel comfortable leaving her for weeks by herself with a credit card? I needed more. What was Teal and Jaxson's conversation regarding a relationship? I would have loved more character development to make a more complete story.

This was a very different read from this author and I really enjoyed it. I felt for the heroine in this story and wanted to throttle her parents more than once. The hero was less OTT than Sam’s usual characters but was definitely still alpha.

Yes it’s a Teacher/Student Taboo story but this one had a bit of a twist.

To believe or not too?

This is a different story line than I’m used to so it took me a few tries to get into the story and the teacher/student with a large age gap. I was surprised that I liked it but also I’m assuming being a fan of the author helped. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: Teal Larson’s next-door neighbor is heavily inked, sexy, hot, and … her teacher. It’s so wrong to want him, but with her parents at war with each other and her suddenly failing her classes, she shouldn’t be watching her neighbor.

Jaxson Rebel prides himself on being professional. He’s never been tempted in the classroom, not until his curvy new student. She doesn’t even try, and he’s freaking smitten.

Her mother asks him to tutor her, and he agrees despite his feelings for her. When Teal is home alone while her parents work on their marriage, Jaxson has no choice but to take care of Teal. One thing leads to another, and even as he tries to stop it, there’s no denying this attraction.

They will keep it secret. But when Jaxson finds out about the cursed houses they live in, he doesn’t believe the rumor. Even still, he doesn’t want to live without her.

The cursed houses have struck again, but is this the end for the teacher and the student?

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

Read this in a day. It starts out quite well with an interesting premise and tropes. It is easy to read and light with a touch of supernatural.

While I was interested to read it due to the synopsis and mix of romance and supernatural, I found the book and dialogues to be a little repetitive. At times even contradictory. I found that to affect the pacing a bit. Otherwise this is good and light read to mix up your genres.

Thank you Evernight publishing and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange of my honest review.

I finished this one but I probably should have just dnf.
There were multiple parts that something would be said or happen and then the very next chapter it was as if that hadn't happened or hadn't been said and it was repeated. There was so much redundancy.
It had a supernatural element to it and was very far fetched. The mother was appalling and yet at the end it was like she was a perfect parent.
It just didn't really make a lot of sense.

Teal's next door neighbor is her teacher, Jaxson. They are both attracted to each other. One thing leads to another... They live in cursed houses.... will they suffer?

It's an interesting book. Teacher/student , age-gapforbidden romance.... It's a fun, easy and sexy book.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

I think that this book was overall a pretty good book! It’s a great, easy, fast-paced read! It was super interesting seeing how everything in the story played out! I only have 2 complaints with this book. First off, I think the age gap didn’t need to be as big as it was. Considering the fact she was 18 I think the mmc should’ve been younger especially because his age didn’t affect a specific part of the plot. Second, I think the ending felt a bit rushed. There was a lot thrown in and happening so overall not the best ending. Still, I really enjoyed this book!
