This was a great book about Spring and it will be a great addition to my Spring storytime books. My library will definitely be purchasing a copy!
What a cute interactive book for youngsters!
This was more interactive more than plot driven, but it’s for wee ones so that’s ok. A little bit of a storyline would make this book much better.
Enjoyable for an interactive reading with your little one to tilt and blow and have some fun!
Spring Fun is an adorable children's book with lots of opportunities for listeners to participate in the story. The interactions stimulate the imagination and enjoyment of this delightful picture book.
A fun spring themed interactive book. The book focuses more on the interactions than a flowing storyline, but I do think the activities are great for engaging kids in reading.
Thank you to NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for this title. All opinions are my own.
What a fun book! Soon it will be spring, this book will invite us to play together to enjoy spring. With a variety of interesting activities that children can do in spring. The illustrations are very cute and colorful.
Thank you NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for accepting me to read and review this book.
While I like the idea of this book, and the author offers very vibrant colors, the book itself fell flat. I loved how the author used different animals in the book, and think it would be a great learning tool for some children. Since my five year old knows all her animals, she wasn’t interested.
What a cute little book full of spring activities!
The forest animal friends in spring fun were so fun to talk about with my kids. They loved naming the animals, talking about their sounds, etc. I loved that the book was fun for them, while also teaching what spring is like! (Windy, warm, blooming flowers, etc.)
The very best thing about this book was how interactive it is! Engagement is such a big deal these days and Anita Bijsterbosch totally nailed it!
I definitely recommend reading this book with your preschool through first graders! I think they'll love it!
A fun interactive book for kids, with pretty illustrations and things to do while reading the book. This book will help your children engaged during the reading, and grow the love of reading books.
This brightly illustrated title follows a group of animal friends on a beautiful spring day. They see animal babies, observe the weather, go in a hot air balloon and more. Surely, a lovely day.
The physical copy of this book is interactive which should add to a child’s enjoyment. It could make a nice gift for a young one.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for this title. All opinions are my own.
This is a so-called interactive children’s picture book where the reader is given instructions to do with the book that creates the action on the next page. Press Here was the best, and now the standard which I measure these books against. While the illustrations are lovely and top-notch, the story is a bit long and the instructions don’t seem to be as playful as the standard bearer. For that reason, while I like this book, I don’t think it’ll have staying power and won’t be remembered in the next few weeks months and years.
An interactive and educational book for young children, with big, bold, bright, and lovely pictures. Although if you let a child flip through the book on their own, it will most likely take no time at all for the child to be done with it, yet if you engage the child and do it together, this book can be a helping hand in learning things like telling left from right.
I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.
This is a cute little story about a couple of animal friends heading out for an adventure on a spring day. There are periodic action instructions for the audience that would be much more fitting with a physical book rather than an ebook (which is probably why this book is only available as a hardcover).
The illustrations were very vibrant and crisp, showing the action along the adventure. This is a book I'd be okay reading a few times because it's fun and short. I'm fairly certain it would be a kid favorite as well because of the interactive element of the story.
Overall I give it 4.2 out of 5 stars.
This book may be a very quick read that young kiddos can whip thru as they learn to read but its interactive pages and story make up for any lack in complexity one might think to complain about. Kids get to be involved in the story as they tip, shake and blow on the book as the story moves along on Racoon and Owl's fine spring day.
This book is too cute and so much fun. I think it's awesome that it's interactive and has the kids participate in a way that teaches them left/right, etc. Very engaging story!
A group of adorable animal friends have wonderfilled adventures on a beautiful spring day. The child reader is encouraged to engage in various actions in response to the text. A fun read for children and caretakers and a fine addition to a home library as well as a school library or children’s department of a public library.
Interactive works only with a physical copy and involves movement of the book as directed. Not interactive in the computer sense. So much the better, less intrusive, and ever so much more fun!
The story is written AND illustrated by Anita Bijsterbosch. The storyline is simple, and the illustrations are fun, simple, colorful, and delightfully imaginative.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or public library!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Digital Editions from Clavis Publishing via NetGalley. Thank you!
Spring Fun by Anita Bijsterbosch - 4/5
This book is beyond cute, and my group of children adored it. There's interactive fun, the illustrations are cute and I love finding new ways to explore seasons and bring them up for conversation with little ones.
My 4 year old and I really enjoyed the interactiveness of Spring Fun! The illustrations were really cute and well done.
this book really lives up to its title. obviously it's set in spring but the interactive aspect made it really fun. I like it.
Ok, so this was my first kids book that I have read my little ones (ages 4 and 2) on the kindle, so this was a different reading experience. But they seemed to really enjoy the book nonetheless.
The first thing that popped out to me was the bright colors, which is always great for the little children. I loved that it was really interactive and kept the kiddos engaged!
For any one with little kids looking for a fun, springtime book, this is the one for you!
