This book was heavy on case studies with some action questions sprinkled in. It was interesting, but I was looking for more hands on learning.

It seems I'm always reading a leadership book. As a person with immense curiosity, I don’t back down from the ability to explore this very important topic more. The room for improvement is the biggest room in the house (one of my mentors said this to me often)!!! But this book was different!! It was written in a No BS, practical manner but always with a huge dose of compassion. Liam Black has a wealth of knowledge & has several a mentor on several occasions. I especially found the discussion on women, their leadership roles in the shadows of the patriarchy the most interesting. Few men have tackled the topic male-dominated power which is often found in the C-Suite in just a candid manner. As a woman, I truly appreciated his candor on this important topic. Black gets it!!!
