What I absolutely loved about this book is the artwork. The illustrations are so engaging and colorful that they provide so much to look at. I particularly loved how much movement is modeled through the illustrations allowing for very easy connections to getting young readers to mimic the motions they are reading about and seeing.

The one thing I do wish was stronger in this story is more depth to the message. I love that this series adds life skills and emotional intelligence into a story that encourages movement. However, I do wish that the story was a little more of just that, a story instead of a single moment that is then explained and resolved so quickly by the other characters in the book.

Overall, this is a very fun and vibrant addition to a young readers library to encourage movement, mindfulness, and emotional intelligence at a young age.

Thanks Netgalley for providing me with an ARC of this book to review. I teach early learner classes at a zoo and I may find myself using this book in the future.

Mika and the Snooty Monkey. I pick out books that I think my two year old granddaughter will love. She loves monkeys and pretends to be one when you tell her to be one.

I think the illustrations are beautiful, bright, and colorful. I love that the yoga poses are at the end which encourages kids to engage in the practice! The story itself had me a little lost at different points though.

Super cute story about being true to yourself. I love the lesson that Svadi learns…if you’re doing something you love, that’s what’s important. Easy to understand,
plus pretty and colorful illustrations. The yoga theme is great too, as well as the poses provided! Overall, great feel-good book for kids!

This was so precious! I really like the message behind the story, it's really inspiring for the little ones who might be scared to try new things because of how others might react. The little guide to yoga poses at the end of the book is super cool as well and easy to recreate with a child. Overall this was a really pleasant experience!

Mula the tiger is enjoying her yoga practice when a group of monkeys begin to tease and it sets the jungle animals off on a path of discovery.

The art in this book is simply gorgeous. Colorful, beautiful, and perfect for appealing to kids. The plot and themes of being yourself and trying new things provide just the right message for young readers. My family LOVED this book and we look forward to checking out others in the series!

This is a cute book with a great message for kids to be yourself no matter how you look. It’s okay to not be perfect as long as you are having fun.

My son enjoyed the colorful illustrations and wanted to try the yoga poses for himself. Fun way to get kids moving!

The only negative thing I could say is the name. I feel like snotty monkey implies something different for children. My son understands snotty to be a runny nose, not a behavior. And I definitely don’t want him to learn the world snotty as a way to describe people. So I just said the monkey is sassy or silly. Other then that it’s a fun book for kids!

A super-colourful picture book with cute animals about the importance of enjoying yourself over worrying about how you look. Beyond a kind story, with this book you'll have a yogi tiger teaching you simple asanas.

There is a QR code on the book cover which leads to the audio version. This a great asset, especially for non-native English speakers like me. The narration of the audio book is lovely, and makes this an amazing set for gifting.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Sweet Cherry Publishing for an Advance Review Copy.

Mula is trying out some new yoga steps and suddenly notices leaves falling without wind. What is Svadi up to?

I really enjoyed reading this with a wonderful written story about trying new things instead of making fun of other for doing something you see as funny. A great way to show compassion and trying to think differently, instead of judging and simply bullying. The drawings are simply beautiful, I loved them a lot.

This is a book I would totally recommend for young readers!

Happy reading!♥️
