The Final Lady To Be Sponsored.
Ooh, Theodosia, Duchess of Stanbury had waited patiently to find her own lady to sponsor and finally here she is Isabel Beauford, the daughter of the Earl of Somerdon.
The Society of Sponsoring Ladies are at it again, with laugh out loud moments full of their capers. It’s worth reading all this series just to read about them, it’s so entertaining!
Isabel’s life had been hard growing up with her father, her home was falling to pieces, they had but one staff member, she had to do most of the cleaning and there was hardly any food. A modern day Cinderella that she decided when the Duchess arrived, she would make sure the person she married would be of good standing and that her future would be secure so that she would never had to live her life like this ever again and therefore love was not an option.
Harry Vance knew as soon as he set eyes on Isabel that she was the one, but persuading her he was the one for her was such a trial, even declaring his love and his offer of marriage was rejected so taking the situation in hand decided to do something about it!
Harry and Isobel are meant to be together, he fought hard to win her, enjoy this mad, fast, romantic, full of humour with a great series ending.
Although this book can be read on its own! I do recommend reading all the series from the beginning to get to know all the characters of the society of sponsoring ladies, they will leave you in stitches with their antics!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A great series that I'm sad to have read the last book of. This book was a fabulous addition with another entertaining story and such well-written characters. All the girls have been quirky and fun in their own ways and the sponsoring ladies have been a hoot. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series that can each be read alone. This book was a fabulous addition. It was nice that Mr. Vance would finally find "the one". Of course, a tradesman grandson could never be good enough for the girl sponsored by the Duchess of Stanbury. Isabel tried finding a husband with her sensible mind, not her loving heart. It was fortunate for Isabel, Harry Vance is very determined. This story is delightfully entertaining and such well-written characters. I was thrilled with such thorough epilogue, but sad that the series is at an end. I look forward to reading more books by Kate Archer.
Isabel, an impoverished lady, is picked by a duchess to be the girl she will sponsor because Isabel has royal bloodlines. Isabel just wants a match that will give her security for the rest of her life, even if her husband dies with no heirs from her. Harry is struck immediately by Isabel but is deemed as below her status by the duchess. Harry must get Isabel to overcome her fears of having nothing to take a chance on him. This book is the last in a series which I enjoyed very much. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.
A lovely addition to A Series of Worthy Young Ladies series. This is the sixth installment, and each story has been delightful and entertaining and this one was no different. The story was engaging and entertaining and Ms. Archer did a nice job with vivid descriptions which really made the story and characters come to life. Another wonderful addition to the series!
