A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I think I need to take a break from reading ranching romances, as these just seem so sad. Silas is trying so hard to keep the ranch going that he loses sight of what is meaningful. Bea is not respected and sort of gives up hope. 3 stars

Silas has always believed that his priority would always be providing for Bea and to do that he needed to keep stability in the ranch. But when Bea is walking out the door reality hits that his focus was not on what mattered most to him. He has to work to win back the love of his life to have the future he so desperately wants!

Silas and Bea have been married for some time now. Silas is so focused on his ranch. Bea has her own dreams of being a seamstress. Bea is ready to leave Silas thinking that he is never going to change. Bea finds out the she is pregnant and has to make a decision. When Silas learns that Bea is pregnant and leaving him and he decides that he is going to change his ways.

Is Silas really going to change his ways, will Bea leave or will she stay, will she pursue her career as a seamstress, does Silas deserve a second chance?

I received an ARC via NetGalley and Relay Publishing and I leaving my review voluntarily.

Bea Anderson and her husband SIlas have separated due to Silas' single-minded focus on his ranch. This is a second chance romance with twins thrown in the mix!

Overall I enjoyed this book, but Silas was so frustrating! He couldn't see how his actions drove Bea and his brother away. I was happy to see him learn from his mistakes but it took such a long time. Bea was a great character who learned how to stand up for herself. I really liked the dual POV so we could read the characters' thoughts and the progression of their growth.

I hope this series has his brother's book next!

I enjoyed Bea and Silas' story. It's a heartwarming 2nd chance at marriage tale complete with babies! It was a nice and brief book I was able to finish in a day.

The lack of communication between Bea and Silas leads to disastrous separation pending their divorce, but fate has other plans for them.

Silas is a rancher who puts it all into his ranch. Hard work leads to a rewarding future. Unfortunately it's causing damage to his marriage. Bea has been patient until she can no longer overlook all the shortfalls from his part. He spends most his time worrying about the ranch. He strives for the best for his future and that of his family. He forgets the promises he makes to Bea until she walks out. On a fateful adverse weather day, he walks into their cabin to find Bea there. She has had enough. She can't play second fiddle anymore. Silas discovers that she is holding out on him and decides to take her back to the house until the weather settles. Bea needs to carry on with her seamstress business which is proving to be quite successful. Will they come to their senses and realise what they are missing?

Silas is stubborn and always has the final word. He hardly ever listens to her. Bea is still very much in love with him. When Silas sees the error of his ways, he sets out to put things right. It's very well developed. It's a good romance and worth the read.

Silas and Bea are at a crossroads. She has moved out and filed for divorce because he never puts her needs first and never listens to her suggestions. After a freak storm forces her to move back in with him, they rekindle their romance but are they both willing to make some changes in order to have a healthy relationship going forward?

The author was able to write a novella legnth story that was just long enough to give the characters a chance to breath and grow. Silas has to learn to listen when the people around him tell him their thoughts and feelings. His learning curve is steep and full of issues. Bea has to learn to speak her mind and not let issues pile up until they are seemingly insurmountable. Her learning curve isn't as steep as Silas's but hers is painful because she's also dealing with a pregnancy at the same time so her actions will affect her unborn baby as well. I really enjoyed how Silas and Bea slowly worked toward making their relationship stronger and more resilient. The author did a good job showing how each one gained strength as they learned from their mistakes. This was a really good love story.

I did wonder repeatedly how the timeframes worked. For example, how old was Silas when his dad died? How many years apart are Silas and his brothers? How long has Silas been running the ranch? It struck me because Silas thinks about the fact that he never got to go to college because he had responsibilities to the ranch but both of his younger brothers have gone to college. Why is that the case if Silas has been running the ranch for years and he needed his brothers to help him succeed?

This is a contemporary romance set in Montana. This is the first book in a new series. I will definitely read the next book in the series (it's setup in this book).

I am a big fan of Leslie North, but this book is a miss for me. for 90%+ of the book, I cannot stand our male lead, Silas. He was not what I am looking for in my book boyfriends and while we do get a chapter at the end that shows us how far he has come, it was just too little too late for me. Add to that that Bea was a doormat and, well, you get where I am coming from. I hate to do this, but only 2.25 stars for me and all of those stars are for writing style, none for plot. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy.

I love stories about married couples and this one was so good! I loved that Bea was starting to find herself and put herself first. I loved that Silas recognized that he needed to change. I loved the chemistry they had and thought they were a well matched couple. I would recommend this story for anyone looking for a sweet romance!.

Stopping off in a small Montana town on a whim while on her way to start a new life, Bea met rancher Silas and fell in love. They married, but it quickly became apparent that his ranch would always be his first priority and he was the only one who knew best. Finally fed up, she moved out, but an unexpected pregnancy and some unexpected togetherness due to a snowstorm may offer them a path back to happiness.

Frankly, I don't know how Bea lasted as long as she did. Silas sounded impossible to live with and not much of a partner at all. Sure, they had chemistry and he might be well-intentioned (sort of. deep down.) but yikes! As such, I'm not quite sure I was able to buy the progression of their story, but this was still a pleasant, low-angst tale with some enjoyable steamy bits!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

This is a sweet story about love, second chances, and self reflection. Silas and Bea are both great characters, each with their own dreams and wishes. When a snow storm forces them to be together again, it may be the best chance the couple has to rekindle what they had. But, in order to do that, Silas needs to change his ways.
I enjoyed their story, and while predictable, was a good read. I wish the story and/or characters had been developed a little more.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Rancher's Pregnant Wife by Leslie North.
Anderson Ranch Brothers #1.
Rancher Silas Anderson was raised to believe in one thing: hard work leads to success. Maybe that’s why he throws himself into his work a little too much. Come hell or high water, he’s going to make his ranch the best it can be. No matter the cost... But his wife Bea has dreams of her own—a life she’s had to put on hold, while Silas focused all his attention on the ranch. And as far as she’s concerned, he’s never going to give her the love and care she deserves. When she discovers she’s pregnant, she decides it’s time for change.
Brilliant read. Great story and characters . 5*.

Silas is very stubborn and has to have everything done the traditional way which is always his way. He never takes advice from anyone. That's the theme throughout the book except for the last chapter. Bea finds to difficult to find the man that she fell in love with inside Silas. She gets a glimpse that last less than a day. It's those kernels and the fact that she's pregnant that keeps her going.

2.5 Stars This was a sweet, easy marriage-in-crisis/second chance romance. Bea left her rancher husband, Silas, because she felt like she always came second to the ranch in his life. She's dreamed of starting her own business as a seamstress and having children, but Silas kept pushing off her dreams until the ranch was doing well. They have a second chance when Bea moves back in Silas after the cabin she's staying in loses power during a storm. Silas also finds out that Bea is pregnant, which she found out a week after she left him. Since leaving Silas, Bea has also started her seamstress business and is thriving.

The novel was a bit too short for there to be a lot of character development and it was hard to believe that Bea could forgive Silas so easily, especially when he kept making the same mistakes.

I really enjoyed reading Silas and Bea’s story. Silas has lost sight of his marriage to the point of almost losing it, his tunnel focus on building up the ranch has always been in the way, but this tale of how he learns and adapts brings his wife back, just in time. A very enlightening tale of the importance of communication and romance needed for relationships to work, written in a lighthearted and endearing way, he listens and shares the burden of running the ranch with his wife and brother.
