Another great cozy mystery read by Lauren Elliott. The mystery had me guessing all along! A fun, exciting read!

I loved this story I couldn't wait to see what happened in this story. The mystery of the wedding dress , where there was a mystery murder involved and the murder of Valerie. The way it ended was amazing and also it feels like there may be another book. As with every book in this series they are are all great but this one was really one of the best. A GREAT READ.

This book was not short on twists and turns with surprises that made me sad for Addie at first, but by the end of the book you realized it was a good thing.

First, Addie and Simon's wedding gets ruined by the first surprise which leads to many more surprises and ends in a murder. While all this is going on Addie finds a wedding dress in a hidden room in Greyborne Manor and she's confused by who it could belong to. So she focuses her time on reading her Aunt's journals and asking people in town to help fill in the blanks with the help of her best friend Serena.

I really enjoyed how the Addie/Simon thing was "separate" from the wedding dress mystery and that in solving the murder and the dress mystery really let us see exactly who Addie is.

I felt like this book was the end in many ways, however, what happened in this book has opened so many new possibilities that I am very excited to see the Addie this book will make her become.

This entry in the series was well written and the character of Addie showed true courage and depth when she finds her fiance is married and has a son ( that he does not know about). Addie postpones the wedding--really having little choice when her fiance's marriage is revealed during their vows! Addie soon finds herself reviewing her life choices, the men in it and how it relates to her ancestors. Little does Addie know that she will solve a murder from her family history as well as the present day murder in the story. Perhaps, what I liked most about the story was the heroine's ability to realize she did not need her fiance to be happy. Looking forward to the next in the series.

My thanks to NetGalley and Kensington books for the opportunity to read the latest in the series by Lauren Elliott. I'm always impressed with the writing, and this is the best in the series, IMO. And boy was it full of surprises!

I'll be honest-- this book surprised me! Usually by book 9 of a cozy mystery series, I know the author well enough to be able to anticipate what's coming. I guessed none of this for Addie! Not only did the plot go in directions that I didn't expect, the two murder investigations kept me guessing, too. My only gripe is that the resolution didn't feel as earned as I would have liked, but I'm glad that everything wasn't wrapped up neatly for Addie at the end.

Finally Added and Simon's wedding day. Been reading this delightful series from the start. But a hidden room in the attic holds surprises for Addie. This one is a can't put down read. Excellent characters. Great story! Thanks#netgalley and #Kensington for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

Another wonderful addition to Lauren Elliott's cozy Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery series! Book 9 in the set.

Dedication to Murder is the 9th book in the Beyond the Page Bookstore series. I have read this series from the beginning. Addie Greyborne is the main character who is the owner of Beyond the Page Books and Curios. There are three different stories into one. The story takes place in Greyborne Harbor, MA. It opens with the marriage of Addie to her fiancé Simon Emerson, a doctor. Valerie Price and Laurel Hill, the new vet come running into the church and tells everyone that the wedding can't continue as Simon is still married to his first wife. Laurel. They had been married while in college. Simon hadn't spoken to her in 16 years. Their marriage was not legally annulled. Her uncle who was a lawyer at the time did not file it. It was found in his desk drawer. His wife, Valerie found it when cleaning out his desk now that he has died. Simon's first marriage was a surprise to Addie as he never mentioned that he was married before. She will not talk to him as she is upset. Simon tells Addie that they are going to redo the annulment and they can get married again. There is another surprise when Simon finds out that Laurel tells him that she was pregnant with his child and the adoptive parents were killed in a car accident and she has temporary custody of her son, Mason Simon Keller. Addie tries to be understanding and tells Simon that he has to meet his son and get to know him. This story takes an adventure of it's own which I will leave to the reader to read. Addie realizes that Simon is spending more and more time with Laurel and Mason and tells Simon that she still loves him but things have changed for them and decides that it would be best that they break up. She gives him back her engagement ring.

Addie lives in an old Victorian house she inherited from her great aunt, Anita Greyborne. While home Addie and her best friend, Serena who has come over to comfort her find a small door behind a bookcase while cleaning the attic. They go in and find a room with books on shelves, writing table with an old oil lamp, a steam trunk and to her surprise there is a wedding dress in a bag on a mannequin. Who does this dress belong to. In the trunk they find an empty wedding album along with old journals that she realized her aunt wrote Again this story takes on an adventure of the mystery of her Aunt and other surprises that I will let the reader enjoy to follow.

Laurel's aunt Valerie decides to give a tea party to introduce Mason to the town. At the tea she drops dead and later the autopsy shows that she has been poisoned by tetrahydrozoline in a high dose in her system. Simon and Marc, the police chief try to find out who killed her and why. Marc use to date Addie and still has feelings for her asks Addie to stop by the station and look at the photos for another opinion. He comes to her house again with more pictures he wants her to look at. In one of the pictures Addie sees that Valerie looked upset talking to Lucy Timmons. There is so much going on in this part of the story I will leave this to the reader to find out who and what is happening.

All three of these stories overlap each other to come to an exciting ending, Marc takes Addie to the airport as she needs a change of scenery and decides to go to England for two weeks to visit her cousin, Kalea and also to see an old friend, Tony an author who lives there.

I look forward to the next book in this series to find out what Addie decides to do. What new adventure will she get into next. Who will she decide to date Marc or Tony or will she met someone new. What will happen to Simon, Laurel and Mason.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Publishing Corp. for this ARC.

Addie's wedding day is ruined at the last possible second as she finds out her fiance, Dr Simon Emerson, might already be married. A discovery in her attic leads to Addie trying to unravel the mystery of her own familie's past. This is not a stand alone mystery, and may be confusing to those who haven't read the previous books in this series.

I was absolutely shocked reading this book. Addie is finally marrying the man she loves, until someone says he's not hers to marry.
Addie showed such raw emotion in this story, and my heart broke for her.
The mystery that focused on her family roots was exciting and I really enjoyed this story.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

I love a cozy mystery, but this one felt like I needed to have read other books in the series to understand the basics. There should have been a bit of explanation for someone who was just picking this book up without having read others.

Addie is about to get married, but a major secret is revealed right before the ceremony and she leaves the altar single. She then must unravel a mystery in her own home, all while managing a bookshop.

This absolutely did not work for me, and that's entirely because of the heroine. This is an okay book but I had a hard time reading about those characters. It's also the ninth book in the series and it definitely deserves to be read in order which is perhaps why I didn't enjoy it so much. I think starting with the first book might be a good choice, the secondary characters and the town were enjoyable.

My endless thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book.
