Cecile and Darlington are a dream couple come true. This was a fun and entertaining historical romance and it was fun and sensual and entertaining, to cut a long story short it is a great diversion from reality!

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Regency fans will enjoy these strong-willed women as they face obstacles head on. An era of women fighting for a new life as they over come obstacles along the way.
A sweeping read that will keep you mesmerized.
I’ve never read this author before and was so happy to find this one because I loved it! It was exactly the kind of historical romance I’m always on the lookout for, very feminist with complex & unique characters, and without the misogyny & “purity culture” aspects typically found in traditional historical romances. The female main character is fully realized, a person in her own right whether or not she’s in a relationship and the male main character was not an “alpha-hole.” I loved the depth and how unique the story was.
I really love the first book in this series. This second book is just as good. Expert sharpshooter, circus attraction and French expat Cecile entangled with Darlington and was humiliated. Weeks later, he needs her help after losing his title, properties and financee....
It's a Minerva Spencer book so the book is insightful, sweet, romantic, smart and funny at the same time. Love Cecile and Darlington together. Their banter is LOL. I love thow well they complement each other. It is romantic and swoony. An excellent book!
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
