What a journey 😮💨 Incredible world building and a story that you sink your teeth into. In a world where a lot of fantasy books are seeming to blend together, this one stands out.
The characters were written with care and had great development. The ending was a twist I did not see coming and it had me wishing for the second book immediately. I feel happy. I feel sad. I feel like it shouldn’t be over.

3,5/5 stars.
Dragonfall is a story of betrayal, magic and action.
Everen, the last male dragon existing, crosses the Veil to fulfill a prophecy: let dragons conquest the world and regain their magic from the humans who stole it. To do so, he has to complete the bond that links him to Arcady, human and professional thief.
The premises of this book are great. The execution not so much.
In my opinion, the main issue is the writing style. The first person narration is paired with a third person narration, which is reserved only to supporting characters, without any apparent reason. In general, I am not a big fan of first person narration, but in this book specifically it slows down the pace and doesn’t let the story flow very well.
My general annoyance toward the writing style reflected on the characters too. I didn’t connect at all with the main characters, Everen and Arcady, while I wish there were more chapters dedicated to Sorin.
On a positive note, the author created an interesting and original enough wordbuilding for Dragonfall. The plot too is well crafted, but, as I said, it would have benefited from different writing choices.

Summary of plot:
Everen is the last male dragon, destined to save his fellow dragons. He falls through the Veil into the human world and accidentally bonds with a human named Arcady. In order for Everen to fulfil the propehcy, he has to fully bond with Arcady, which comes with a lot of risks.
Thoughts on the book:
I feel like this book had SO much potential to be good, but the main issue I had was the writing style. It's written in first-person, but it's almost like the character is talking to you (the reader). To me, it slowed down the story. I fell asleep three times reading it. To make matters worse, both Everen and Arcady sound the same, so it made it difficult to separate the two voices. There wasn't really anything super exciting about the first third of the book. Honestly, I wish I could continue, but there are better books for me to read.
Would I recommend this book? N/A because I didn't finish it.
