I love the concept of a person living in multiple time periods and having to choose a single one. Ms. Meyer did a fabulous job of balancing the three timelines and the delicacy involved with knowing the future but being unable to change it.
I enjoyed Maggie's character--in every time period, she was driven and compassionate, putting the needs of others above her own.
Despite Maggie's attempts not to fall in love, there's an intriguing gentleman in every age that tugs at her heart. I'll admit, I was torn between two of them and couldn't decide which one to choose. But soon enough, Gentleman X rose to the top of the pile with his swoonworthy behavior.
Readers will be reminded that free will is a gift--one that should not be taken lightly or abused. God allows us to follow our hearts and choose as we will but He's available to advise and guide us.
I received an advanced reader's copy from the publisher through NetGalley ; a positive review was not required.

It’s been a pleasure reading this book I would have finished this book in one sitting if I could. I loved it. She is on my favorite author list. This novel was wonderful and satisfying.

After reading “When The Day Comes”,I couldn’t wait to read “In This Moment”. It is so worth the wait! I absolutely loved this book! Once I started reading I didn’t want to stop! I was very interested in how Gabrielle Meyer was going to top the first book and also do 3 timeline lives. So amazingly done! Maggie lives in 1861, 1941 and 2001. I was so happy with everything that happened! Even though I figured which life she would end up picking. I was never quite sure, she leaves you second and third guessing. Not to mention one particular moment that made my mouth drop in complete surprise! The writing in this book is fantastic! I can’t say enough good things about this book! And also it’s hard to not spoil anything! I can’t wait for the next one!! It’s going to be good I can tell from that ending! 😉 I found it to be a little emotional with 9/11 because I never read a fiction book with a historical event I lived through so that was new. I thought all 3 time periods were done really well and were all very interesting! Overall fantastic read and I 150% recommend!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

I absolutely loved this book. It was compelling, deep and thoughtprovoking. I told myself I would savor this book but I just couldn't stop reading. It was captivating. I read it before work, on every break and after work. Whenever I got back from break which often was at a critical part in the story, I would fill my coworkers in with what was happening. It felt real. It lead to some fun conversations.
Maggie was such an interesting character. She had a lot of depth to her. I loved how she developed throughout the story. I like that she is in the medical field in some regard in each time. I would want to be friends with her.
But let me tell ya, the agony of trying to determine the path was felt deeply and I was completely invested in her life. Who will she choose? What path will she take? Why did that have to happen?
Although we don't have to decide what year to live in, the purpose and what the Lord is calling you to do is something each person must decide. I've been thinking about the theme of this book. The thing that has stuck out to me is that we are absolutely not guarenteed tomorrow. That In this Moment we need to remember our life is a gift and live as if it is our last day.
Each time period was so fascinating. I didn't feel like any time period was less interesting then the other. I think knowing the history added to the anticipation of what was going to happen.
I will be reading this book again.
I highly recommend this story to my family and friends.

This is how time-travel romance should be done! Gabrielle Meyer has outdone herself with In This Moment, the second book in the Timeless series.
I wondered how she would carry on the time-travelling story of Libby's and Henry's daughter, Maggie. I love time-travel stories or dual-time fiction, so I assumed this would be the same story as the first book. She would have to choose which timeline she wanted to live in by her 21st birthday. But instead of travelling to two different points in time, Maggie travels to three. Making her decision on where to spend the rest of her life much more difficult. Plus, three different timelines mean three different sets of parents for Maggie and three possible love interests.
I loved everything about this book, and while I knew what would happen when Maggie travelled to 2001, it was still a moving, heartfelt story. I needed tissues by the end. I loved how the author also kept me guessing which love interest was trustworthy.
If you didn't read When the Day Comes, the first book, don't worry. This can be read as a standalone. But you would be depriving yourself of an excellent series, so I highly recommend reading both.
I received a complimentary copy from Bethany House through NetGalley for my honest review.

In This Moment by Gabrielle Meyer is the most anticipated sequel to When The Day Comes, my favorite book of all from last year. in this Moment follows Margaret "Maggie" through her 3 lives. She lives in Washington DC in all 3 lives just at different times. Everyday she wakes up in a different time period, 1861, 1941 and 2001.
Maggie has different careers in all 3 times and has potential suitors in all 3 times also. At the age of 21 Maggie will have to choose which life she wants to live in, sacrificing her other 2 lives. I loved this book and eagerly read far past my bedtime to find out who/when Maggie would choose. the lives were very interesting and each had it's own appeal. I loved the settings and all of the characters were very life like.
I do recommend reading When The Day Comes before reading In This Moment. I was absolutely thrilled to hear that there will be a third book. So brew up a pot of tea, throw supper in the crockpot and settle in for a fabulous read.
I was given a copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations. All thoughts are my own.
I have pre-ordered a paperback copy to add to my keeper shelf!

I received a free e-arc of this book through Netgalley. I have read the prior book in this series and I enjoyed it, but this one was even better! With more time traveling and more adventures to go on, it was really hard for me to put down. I'm looking forward to the next one!

I kept this book to read when I had a few days off and could devote the time to binge-read this! Goodness, I'm so glad I did. I could not put it down. Following THREE amazing timelines was riveting and had me shedding some tears along the way as decisions needed to be made and tragedy struck. What an extraordinary woman Maggie is, in each of her paths, and I kept thinking, "What would I do if that were my choice?" Finally, I was rooting for the hero I hoped she'd choose. Goodness, with each twist and turn I couldn't read fast enough to discover what would happen next. Seeing the three time periods in history juxtaposed in the story like this was fascinating and Meyer does it brilliantly. I absolutely cannot wait for book three, but while we wait, go ahead and pre-order this one. If you haven't read book 1 in the series! Both come highly recommended. And not just by me.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher through NetGalley. My opinion is my own.

Just like the first book in this series, the premise for this novel is fresh and absolutely riveting.
In this book, Maggie is a highly driven and motivated character. She knows what she wants from life — to help heal others, working as a nurse or doctor in her various lives. Because she knows she will ultimately give up two time periods, she’s desperate to gain all the knowledge and life skills she can. This is especially apparent in Maggie’s 2001 life where she’s already a third-year resident doctor — the youngest ever. At first, this feels extremely far-fetched… Until you realize that despite the fact Maggie looks twenty years old in 2001, she’s cumulatively lived over 60 years!
Little details like this make the story a lot of fun. They also emphasize the fact that Meyers thought through the time travel rules really well. Any time I had a question as a reader, Meyers addressed it soon after.
There are also some subtle links between time periods — for example, Maggie has a familial connection to the President in each era and visits the White House in all three lives. So yes, you have to suspend some disbelief (it is a novel about time travel after all!) but it was thoroughly enjoyable to let myself be swept away for the ride. Each time period also felt well-researched and fully distinct, with memorable characters and plot points in each.
One of the main driving aspects of this novel is which time period Maggie will ultimately choose to live in for the rest of her life. (I guessed wrong!) At the very start of the book, Maggie meets a different man in each of her lives and finds herself drawn to all of them. The romance throughout is clean and sweet, and it was fun to try and figure out which mand and time period Maggie would pick. My one critique with this, however, is that throughout the novel, Maggie spends a lot of time trying to figure out how to pick the life she wanted to live. She wrestles with who she really is and how she can best live out her calling as a healer. In the end, it felt like it mostly came down to which man she wanted to be with. This wasn’t quite the strong reasoning that I felt had been building throughout the novel.
While the ending wasn’t the jaw-dropping experience I had in the first book, In This Moment contained its fair share of the unexpected! I flew through this novel in a day and am already excitedly awaiting news of the third installment in this brilliant series.
Engaging and unforgettable, this is one series this is quickly becoming an all-time favorite.
4.5 stars

An incredible follow up to a fantastic book (When The Day Comes), and I loved this one even more than the first, I think! The writing was vivid and emotional, and I just adored it.
Things I loved:
-the history! This time our heroine travels between 3 pivotal time periods, 1861, 1941, and 2001. All on the brink of war.
-the romance! I don’t want to say too much about this but I was so happy with how it turned out. I melted inside whenever my OTP had scenes together.
-the way she weaves the story together is magical, and I truly didn’t know which timeline she would choose for most of the book!
-our heroine is in the medical field and it was interesting to see how her hands were tied in her two older time periods because of her gender, and the lack of general medical knowledge in the time.
What to expect:
-wartime and surgery scenarios, not graphic
-🔥:kisses
-loss of a loved one

4.5 stars for In This Moment. I was torn between Maggie’s 3 paths and didn’t know how she would decide! In This Moment made me smile and cry. I will definitely be recommending this book to anyone who will listen to me talk about books! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was I felt she made her choice of paths based on a man. She found she didn’t love one of the men, so she couldn’t choose that path. Otherwise I truly enjoyed the book and can’t wait for the next one!!

I am reviewing a copy of In This Moment through Bethany House Publishers and Netgalley:
I must say the second book in this series did not disappoint.
Maggie inherited her gift of time crossing from her parents and that allows her to live three different lives in 1861, 1941 and 200. Every night she goes to sleep in one time period and wakes up in another. But when she turns twenty one she will have to forfeit two of those lives.
In her 1861 life Maggie is the daughter of a senator at the outbreak of the Civil War, navigating a capital full of Southern spies and wounded soldiers. In 1941, she is a navy nurse, grappling with her knowledge of the future when she joins a hospital ship going to Pearl Harbor. And in 2001, she's a brilliant young medical student, fulfilling her dream of becoming a surgeon.
Although Maggie has sworn off romance until she makes her final choice, an intriguing man tugs at her heart in each era, only complicating the impossible decision she must make, which looms ever closer. With so much on the line, how can Maggie choose just one life to keep and the rest to lose?
Once again Gabrielle Meyers captivates us with another brilliant time-slip novel!
Five out of five stars!
Happy Reading!

This book was an incredible continuation of book one! I thoroughly enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time. Gabrielle’s writing is always sure to keep me engaged and fascinated

I really love this series! What a mind-bending concept, a triple timeline. I can’t wait for more from this author.

I requested this book on NetGalley because I thought the premise was really interesting - a young woman, Maggie, who is a time traveler between three different time periods (1861, 1941, and 2001) or paths, as she called them, and must choose the one path where she wishes to continue to live on her 21st birthday- and I was not disappointed. Maggie would go to sleep in one historical time period and then wake up the next morning in the next historical time period, and then wake in the third time period after that one the next night, and then begin all over again on the fourth night. A born healer, she lived in 1861 as the pampered daughter of a Senator who connects with Clara Barton to help her with the care of soldiers during the Civil War, is a military nurse in WWII in 1941, and is a medical student in 2001. No spoilers but this is definitely worth reading. I also realized this is book 2 in Gabrielle Meyer's Timeless series so I do plan to read book 1 eventually. My only complaint is the story really pushes religion with the characters contstantly talking about God but then I realized that it is listed as "Christian Fiction."
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

What extensive research, historical events, historical people, and wonderful storytelling went into this book with three timelines!! I could not put it down. The connection to book one was wonderful. In This Moment by Author Gabrielle Meyer kept me guessing and turning pages far too late in the night. What a lovely and thoroughly captivating story! This journey through history, journey of faith, learning to trust God in all circumstances, and ultimately determining where Margaret/Maggie/Meg belongs, was fascinating. She learns to live fully in each moment she's been given.
I loved following Margaret, Maggie, and Meg through 1861, 1941, and 2001 in her paths, during three pivotal times in American history. Each timeline is well developed and there are characters in each timeline who are close to her heart. She certainly loves people in each timeline, and healing is the next most important thing, so she has to ask herself where she can do the most good? What an agonizing choice she will have to make. Several moments were so touching they brought tears to my eyes.
"Life is a gift and an adventure. We should never let fear hold us back from doing the things God has called us to do. The risk isn't always in going, sometimes the risk is in staying and missing out on the journey."
“I’m so used to uncovering selfishness and betrayal. I almost don’t know what to do with sacrifice and hope.”
"God in His infinite grace, was allowing me to choose, and there was no right or wrong decision to make. He was telling me to follow my heart and He would still be with me."
I highly recommend In This Moment to lovers of historical fiction and multiple timelines!
Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for allowing me to read an early copy. All opinions are my own.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Bethany House for an advance read in exchange for this review.
Maggie inherited a gift from her time crossing parents and will soon have to choose if she wants to live in 1861, 1941, and 2001. When she decides, her other two selves will leave those eras. There are possible romances in each era that make it difficult to choose.
I really liked this story and thought her time crossing abilities were fascinating. I don't think I would have selected the one that she did. I appreciated the author's efforts to write a lot of historical content. I'm looking forward to the series continuing!
My one criticism would be that slavery is barely mentioned in the 1861 era. For something so central to the Civil War, it was surprising that the word slave is not in the book at all, and slavery is only there once.

I fell in love with Gabrielle Meyer's writing style in When the Day Comes, and have been waiting for this book a long time...and it did not disappoint! In this story, we have three timelines, but she weaves them together so seamlessly...she makes writing a multifaceted novel look easy. The three timelines share similarities, which helps to neatly tie them and our protagonist together, and there are many surprising twists and turns, particularly in the romance department, but you won't guess which timeline our protagonist chooses until the very end. Eagerly awaiting the next one in the series!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
I loved the first book in this series and this one was great as well. Maggie has inherited time travel from each of her parents and finds herself living in 1861: 1941, 2001.
She has to decide where to stay in this book., since she will turn 21.
A compelling read which kept my attention. Told solely from Maggie’s POV.
Wonderful characters and depth. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy Christian fiction.

Wow! In This Moment is another brilliantly executed time-crossing novel by Gabrielle Meyer. Her storytelling genius really shines through with three equally captivating timelines that transition beautifully! The historical detail is amazing in all three Washington D.C. settings—1861, 1941, and 2001. Well-crafted, compelling characters touched my heart and stirred my emotions. The real historical characters mesh perfectly with the fictional ones. I love the first person narrative. Having the story told from Maggie’s point of view helps you connect more deeply with her feelings and struggles. I especially appreciate the strong faith thread imparting valuable, relevant life lessons. This fascinating, unputdownable read is definitely headed for my Best Reads Ever list! I look forward to the next book in the Timeless series which I know will be as wonderful as the first two! I think fans of romantic historical fiction and time-crossing stories will love this book as much as I did, and I highly recommend it!
