Miss Alexandria Templeton is living with her sister and her husband. There have been many changes in her life lately, but she is still an incredibly shy young woman who is happier making up stories to write.
Our heroine is not the type to cope well with the dangers she is about to face.
Julian Stratford needs to find out who is killing his family and see him brought to justice.
Our hero is dealing with a serious injury that limits his strength, so he has to use less than the direct method he would prefer.
This is a sweet historical romance with characters that are a lot more mild mannered than usual. There is a lot of danger and some twisted villains. It's not until the very end we discover the truth, it's certainly a surprise.
Good fun.
Kidnapped by mistake but turning out to be a blessing disguise. This is an enjoyable read involving mystery and mayhem, murder and twists and delusional villains and moments of thrill and excitement. Main characters are most admirable and likeable. Now, it is time to look to the neighbour’s HEA!
I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and leaving my review voluntarily.
This is a sweet historical romance with loveable characters that are likeable. There is a lot of danger and some twisted villains that add to the adventure and it is not until the very end we discover the truth which I didn't see coming. I recieved a free copy from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I wanted to like this book but it just wasn't for me. Julian is returning home from the military due to his brother and father's deaths he is the new duke.
Alexandria dreams of being a writer but her brother in law has other plans, namely to marry her off quickly.
Julien kidnaps Alexandria believe her to be the sister so he can glfigure who killed his family.
The plot didn't really hold my attention. I liked the blurb but in practice it fell short for me.
I didn't like Julien or Alexandria, they both just felt boring.
This book just didn't leave a positive impression on me.
This book was super enjoyable. The storyline is fun, the characters lovable, the chemistry undeniable, and the feels and swoon delightful. Julian and Lexie make a really beautiful couple. So sweet together, but they have a sharp edge of realism that makes them very easy to relate to. All in all, I thought this book was simply wonderful. I am posting an objective, elective review.
The mystery in this book definitely had me hooked! The book started off with a kidnapping of the wrong sister which of course led to romance.
Julian was hiding out trying to figure out who killed his family and tried to kill him as well. I had a couple assumptions the whole time, but I was definitely thrown off.
I liked Lexie's character a lot. Not only did she show her kindness, but she pulled out some serious bravery multiple times. Her writing hobby was a nice add too.
The last several chapters definitely had me going "whoa" that was surprising. Definitely a work of good writing to keep me on my toes the whole time.
Thank you to Dragonblade and Netgalley for providing me a copy of this ARC for my honest review.
