His Brand of Beautiful is a beautiful and sweeping debut by Australian author Lily Malone. 

This book is the perfect introduction to the amazing back catalogue that Malone has crafted since the release of His Brand of Beautiful in 2013. Although telling as her debut, compared to later books, this book has all the early trademarks of her writing style; her unique voice, brilliant characters and romantic, somewhat isolated outback settings. 

Malone's books are very Australian, and I love them for that. Set partly in Adelaide and partly in more remote South Australian Wine country, there is something for everyone to love in this book ... be it the Australian atmosphere, the quirky characters and the winery plight or just the feel-good romance that this book inspires. It's the perfect book to keep you company on any given lazy Sunday.

Although not my favourite of Malone's books nowadays, His Brand of Beautiful was the perfect start to what is most certainly a wonderful contemporary publishing story and I can't wait to see what Lily Malone brings out next!
