I loved picking up this story again and finding out what happened to Nancy at the end of the last book...
Part 2 continues with Nancy and Alice's stories and still features the ragdoll cat which is always a winner. It finished on another cliffhanger and I cannot wait to read part 3...
I really loved this part! We're finally at Seashell Bay. It's an amazing setting and I love the dynamic that's developing between Nancy and Freddy. It seems that Nancy is crasser here than she was in Part 1. In fact, I thought she was an older woman in the first part and now she's being exceptionally informal with people. It's hysterical but feels a little uneven. I can't wait for the next two parts!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this book.
I pretty much inhaled this second part of An Invitation to Seashell Bay. So much happens in this part - a broken wrist, a Lord in knight in shining amour and a trip to a stunning stately home. I loved reading the second part and couldn't put down this book. I'm now even more impatience for the third and fourth, or maybe just the full book, because this is a turning out to be a gorgeous novel. Bella is quickly becoming a favourite author of mine too.
Though I will say Fredy isn't the jerk I thought he was but Alice, well it seems she gone from normal teacher assistant to stalker. Not good. I want the next part now.
OMG I just can’t get enough of this story. Part two sees the story racing along with such funny moments between Nancy and Freddy and also their pets Carrie and Otto respectively. The cast of characters in this book are all amazing and each bring so much to the story. Just one annoying thing…….. waiting for part three!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest review. Roll on part three.
This follows the story in part one. The storyline is excellent and the characters, are interesting and well described.
Thank you to Bella Osborne, NetGalley and Avon for the arc of this book.
An absolute joy! I’m loving part two of this wonderful feel good book and am so looking forward to reading part three!! I couldn’t believe it when part two ended on a cliff hanger. Love all of the characters including Carrie the cat.
This was even better than Part 1 and at times I was laughing out loud! I’m loving reading how the stories of Nancy and Alice develop, especially with their relationships with Freddy and Dom. Freddy is by far my favourite character at the moment and I’m sure he isn’t all that he seems. I’m looking forward to finding out more about Dom, the dad of one of Alice’s students, and what his situation is. I read this in one go and can’t wait for part 3! Thank you to Avon Books Uk and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this.
I absolutely loved this! Part 1 set things up so nicely but this part has more humour, the characters are really developing nicely and for Freddy surprisingly! I love his character and have high hopes for him. We see a funnier, less “boss like” version of Nancy and learn more about Alice as she returns home for a visit.
Percy had me in stitches!
Brilliant.
A good part two. This is really a single book in parts, so you have to read in order and expect absolutely no conclusion at the end of each. That said, I liked this part more than part one. Nancy and Alice are growing on me
What an absolute joy of a read. Part 2 provided plenty of humour as we further got to know the characters.
Nancy has sustained a nasty broken arm whilst falling in a clothes shop changing room. Realising how in capacitated she is Freddy invites her to his family home for help and recuperation....a far cry from the life Nancy is used to.
It us half term and Alice has gone to spend the week with her parents. However she can't get Dom out if her head and begins to browse his Instagram account. There is a picture which seems to indicate he is holidaying in the next village. Desperate to find him she sets on to track him down. However she us suddenly taken unwell....
A real joy of a book left on a cliff hanger, desperate to know what happens next.
Part two of an invitation to seashell bay is a great funny continuation of the story line!
Poor Nancy is in the wars and her unlikely knight in shining armour whisks her away to his ancestral home to recuperate! Nancy along with Callie the cat enters another world of pet peacocks, private beaches and staff to wait upon your every need!
Meanwhile Alice is back home staying with her parents and making plans to track down the delectable Dom using her parents dog as a cover! However things don’t exactly go to plan!
So intrigued to find out what happens next to Nancy and Alice as the book progresses! Totally hooked on the humorous story line and fantastic characters.
Thank you netgalley for this early read.
This is Part 2 in 4-part serialisation of An Invitation to Seashell Bay. You will need to read these parts in order as the story does follow on from each one. We again meet the two main characters – Nancy and her friend Alice and follow their stories. As we found out in Part 1, Nancy runs a craft business and Alice is a teaching assistant. They are both having trials and tribulations in their lives – Nancy with her business and Alice in her love life!
We pick up the storyline where Nancy suffers an accident and needs to call on the help of an unlikely ally! I love Nancy’s character and I must admit to chuckling over her storyline all the way through! Alice is equally likeable, but in this latest instalment we get to find out a little bit more about her, with hints of a medical condition which will no doubt be revealed as the story continues.
This is only a short read but is packed with so much humour and drama! It’s so well written that it’s easy to get lost in the storyline and before you know it, you’re at the end of it and are sitting waiting patiently for the next part! It’s filled with likeable characters, heart-warming and light-hearted storylines and a location that sounds delightful! Cannot wait for the next part to continue the story!
Fab fab fab!
Absolutely loves this 2nd part, I really enjoy Freddie and also love Alice trying to play it cool.
Left on a right cliffhanger I need part 3 now.
Arrr! I’ve just got to the end of part 2 and feel frustrated that I need to wait longer. I need to know what happens next with Alice and Nancy. Freddie’s family seem lovely so what to see more from them too.
Brilliant continuation to the story! Full of fun situations and scenes that had me laughing. It is interesting to see how the other half lives (since am definitely not in the half that has a butler!).
I thoroughly enjoyed this part of the book and am looking forward to reading parts 3 and 4! I care about the characters so much since Bella Osborne is so gifted at crafting amazing characters that soon become people in my life and not just someone I am reading about. This part ends with a major cliff-hanger and I am anxious for the character who is left in a compromised state.
Even though reading books in parts can be a challenge, I do enjoy this process. It forces me to stop and think about what happened and what I think might happen, instead of reading a book quickly. Sometimes it is very nice to take things slowly.
Thank you to Avon Books UK and NetGalley for allowing me to read the advance reader copy, with no obligation to write a review. My review is written freely as a hobby, and is totally my own opinion, not influenced by receiving the ARC.
Nancy is stuck in more ways than one. An accident has left her needing help. She has a big meeting to get to and her team are all unavailable. The only one she can call on is Freddy, the assistant she has just sacked. Against all her expectations Freddy comes up trumps so when her offers to take her home and look after her Nancy reluctantly agrees.
Will spending time together help them see eye to eye and help each other or will it just push them further apart.
This 2nd part of An Invitation To Seashell Bay picks up where the first left off. It had me laughing out loud and the ending left me shocked and desperate for the next part.
I’m loving this series and just don’t want it to end, I slow down as I get to the last chapters to make it last longer! Freddie, who irritated in book 1, is growing on me, the business is developing - well kind of - and Alice is pottering onwards. A very funny break of the wrist story and some amorous dogs and cats, a mad romp that I can’t wait to read more about,
I devoured the second part of An Invitation to Seashell Bay. In this part, Nancy is still desperately trying to secure the gorier of her business. She’s lined up a major pitch but after a clumsy accident, she could be jeopardising the future of her business. Part two has plenty more drama and we get to meet more wonderful characters. Can’t wait for part three! Thank you to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author for the chance to review.
I couldn't wait for this second part, and I wasn't disappointed. Poor Nancy is in the wars with only one person left to help her, Alice is on a mission to find Dom. Brilliantly written, I didn't want it to end. Love the characters and the story arc. Although I have one gripe, any school that has a no cuddle/comfort policy would be roasted by OFSTED. I have worked in schools for 14 years and we are told every year in safeguarding courses that refusing comfort to a child is unacceptable. Please don't give people more ammunition to kick schools.
Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy
The second part based around Nancy, her flatmate, Alice, and now they are both, separately, at the coast.
At the end of book one, Nancy fell and broke her wrist. She had to call on Freddy to help with a presentation to secure a book deal. Struggling to cope, Freddy invited her to stay with him. Meanwhile Alice is staying with her parents during the school holiday.
I love the build-up for the romance that Nancy with Freddy and Alice with Dom are about to have, even if they don't know it yet. There are some funny moments, the mix up with the peacock had me giggling.
I'm loving this way of bringing the story together, having it delivered in parts rather than the full book. I can't wait for book 3.
