Merry Twinness is an erotic/romance sci-fi novella about a woman who finds out her boyfriend has a twin, and the twins share one consciousness.

The erotic concept feels under explored, partly because the female protagonist is freaked out by the whole idea for most of the story. She loves him, so maybe she can put up with threesomes if she tries really hard to get over how weird it is. The science fiction aspect is more explained than dramatized. All this would be fine if the characters didn’t feel so generic, their chemistry so forced. We know they love each other because we are told they love each other. Nothing about the writing is bad, but hopefully you can find a naughtier delight for the holidays.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. This was interesting take on a menage romance with science fiction thrown in.

What to say about this book....
I think the twin telepathy is an interesting idea, but I think this story could be more developed. I feel like I've come in at the end of the story. I guess this short story is okay, but it could be more.

Thank you to Margaret L. Carter, The Wild Rose Press, and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review. Merry Twinness is out and read to read!

Merry Twinness is a steamy sci-fi romantic novella. On the night Nicole is anticipating a proposal from her boyfriend, Cal, she finds out a interesting secret. Cal is a twin, and by twin I mean he is the same person just with two bodies. They share thoughts, emotions and can sense Nicole's emotions. On this Christmas Eve Nicole will have to figure out if having the same boy friend with two bodies is too much or if two happens to be the perfect number.

Honesty I thought this book was weird but in like a good way. It's an interesting take on twins and twin bonds. Once you get your head around the idea the book is a steamy and romantic holiday romance at its finest. I feel like Cal absolutely loved and adored Nicole, and after she accepts the twist in her relationship Nicole genuinely loves Cal (well both of them). If you are looking for a very short, steamy, and romantic holiday book Merry Twinness is for you.

4⭐️ Probably the coolest, weirdest Christmas novella I’ve ever read.

This short story begins with Nicole going home with her boyfriend, Cal, on Christmas Eve. Then, just before taking one of the biggest steps a couple can take in their relationship, Cal has something to confess to Nicole. Cal is twins. As in, he’s one in the same with his twin, Carl. They feel and think the same thoughts, can sometimes feel other people’s emotions, and have special abilities that they’ve kept secret for almost their entire lives.

This was such a fun read! I didn’t know what to expect, and the concept was a bit hard to grasp, but honestly it was kind of cute, and hot and I loved it.

Would absolutely recommend if you have an hour to spare.
