I know sequels are always hit or miss but this one is such a bulls-eye to me, this is like an arrow splitting another arrow on dead target! I loved this riveting thriller as much as the first one (who would've thought that was a possibility?!)! Millie has come back and tried to leave behind what happened before, doing everything in her power to better herself and her life. But it's never that simple or easy is it? So taking on another wealthy couple this time to do house keeping & cooking, seems like easy money once again. That is until it takes twist after twist to knocking you for six between the very wealthy couple, The Garricks are not what they seem and Millie is determined to help Mrs Garrick. You're going to be hanging on every word, absolutely enthralled with this riveting, heart-stopping thriller! You're in for such a treat, it's going to hit every craving!

Very good book I enjoyed it as much as the first one and will always recommend this author as I think she is brilliant

Freida is the queen of a good thriller—keeping you on your toes and guessing the whole way through the wild ride. I love seeing who Millie is becoming and learning more about her life between books through the story. This one was easily a favorite! I love all of Freida’s twists, but especially her epilogues that always leave you smirking.

I received this as an ARC and I loved every second of it! I didn’t think I could love Millie any more, and I wasn’t sure how I felt about Enzo….but MAN! I love these characters as if they were my own! I never guessed the ending and Enzo had me laughing the whole time. Once again, Freida ROCKS.

Very similar to the The Housemaid which I enjoyed so I liked this one too. They are definitely an escape from reality and sometimes a bit over the top, but that's what makes a quick and interesting read. It's strictly entertainment!

This sequel is amazing! The Housemaid is one of my favorite books of all time and this completely did it justice and was even better somehow! I love the characters, the twists, the writing and how addicting it is! I literally couldn’t put it down until I was finished. This has suspense, mystery, some romance and more! It was everything I love in a book. I never read thrillers until I found Freida and now I devour every single one of her books. They are all amazing! I highly recommend this.

This book is fantastic!! It's the second in a series and is so well written that I truly had a hard time putting it down! Freida McFadden has a magical way of creating characters that you become so invested in and you find yourself fully engrossed in the twists and turns of her many exciting thrillers! Definitely give The Housemaid and The Housemaid's Secret a read! You won't be disappointed!!!

At this point, whatever Freida McFadden writes, I'm reading. After reading almost all of her books in six months, you'd think I'd get better at predicting the outcomes. NOPE, not a chance. The Housemaid's Secret brought my favorite characters back and just when I was almost disappointed how easy it was, it all flipped over and over again.

Why is this still so surprising to me? I am a huge movie buff and besides a few special films (No Way Out, Primal Fear), I'm always disappointed by the twists and underwhelmed by the outcomes. And, we all know the big blockbusters of the past have come and gone.

Getting back into reading in my fifties has been a great joy. When I'm not reading a Freida book, I'm usually not reading enough.

The Housemaid’s Secret is the sequel to The Housemaid by Freida McFadden. An author who took me by absolute storm in 2022 and has become an auto buy author for me!!!

If you’re looking for a binge worthy, fast paced, absolutely jaw dropping twist then look no further!! This is definitely a book that even though it’s a sequel it can very much be read as a standalone!! This book immediately sucked me in and had me listening at record speed! This amazing storyline with short chapters was the perfect blend!! I highly recommend!!

It doesn’t take Millie long to realize that there is more going on in their lavish penthouse than meets the eye and she is determined to make the guilty party pay. Freida McFadden has proven herself to be among the top psychological thriller authors writing today. The Housemaid’s Secret is sure to be another bestseller!

If you’re looking for a book that will grab you immediately, keep you enthralled throughout, and shock you to your core, your search has ended.

As always, Frieda wrote another amazing book. I was lucky enough to be one of the few that got to read this early. With all of Frieda’s stories, you think you know what will happen…. And then it takes a twist you never saw coming. I am not ashamed to say that my jaw has physically dropped while reading many of her books, this one included. I’m so happy we got to continue Millie’s story. Without any spoilers, what I can say is that you are in for a treat.

And be prepared to binge this book… or really any of her books… just as I do every time.

A brilliant sequel to the first book, The Housemaid's Secret has everything you could want from a book of this genre. Millie is back and has moved to a new city. She takes on a new cleaning job at the home of a wealthy couple where the wife is mysteriously absent despite being in the house. As always with McFadden's plots, everything is not as it seems! The writer has a great way of leading you in one direction to then swerve you off the path when you're least expecting it. Fast-paced and an easy read.

After reading The Housemaid, I knew I had to read The Housemaid's Secret. It did not disappoint! Fast pace, I could not put this book down. The twists and turns on the emotional rollercoaster is well worth the ride!!

What can I say Freida Mcfadden did it again! I loved it. This should definitely be made into a movie. Every time you think you know what’s going to happen or how it is going to end, a twist come. I enjoyed all the characters, but my favorite would definitely have to be Alonzo.

I just finished reading the prequel to this book and loved it so I was excited to know there is a follow-up. Really enjoyed it and like the previous book, it has plenty of twists and turns. I hope to read more of Millie!

This book was a 10/10! I’m of course a HUGE Freida fan, but this book was everything I’ve ever hoped for! I love a good psych thriller that keeps you guessing every single page turn!

This one is a must read. Really ALL of McFaddens books are must reads in my opinion. Waiting on Ward D with as much patience as I can.

I actually loved this sequel just as much, if not more than the first one! I have seen very popular authors come up with sequels to their biggest hit that I felt failed miserably at living up to expectations, but this definitely was worth the hype! I think it is extremely difficult to accomplish something like that, especially when the first book has so much success. I'd be happy if this story continued on, I think there is so much potential to continue on with Millie's story here!
