This is a great book for babies the high contrast black and white draws them in. My one year old whooped and giggled with glee at each page.

Overall Impression: I think this is a great book for babies and toddlers. It will make a cute surprise around Halloween!
What I liked: I loved the simple black and white.
What I would change: At the end when the children cheer, I think an exclamation point would be better than a period. Not a big deal though.
Would I buy it? For sure! If I saw this cute little book at Target, I would swoop it up during Halloween time for the baby in my life

This was a cute, cozy, spooky read, perfect for really little kids because there’s not much in the way of a narrative. The style of illustrations wasn’t my favorite but that’s obviously just personal preference.

Thanks NetGalley and duopress labs for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

A really cute spooky book! All in black and white, it shows various Halloween things, and this would make a great Halloween read aloud book for young kids!

Thank you to Netgalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As a mother of an almost two year old, we're always looking for new things to read. The attention span of my child is pretty much non-existent but there are a few things he likes: contrasting images, bright colors, and Halloween. Well, Santa too but he doesn't fit in here very well.

This book hit two of his favorite things. The images were large and simple and he enjoyed poking them while we read the book on my iPad. He was able to follow along and, although he doesn't yet have a huge vocabulary, he was happily yelling "SPOOKY" on almost every page.

This was a hit for both of us and great for his age group!

This is a gentle introduction to Halloween for the littlest readers on your lap... or maybe even for those too little to sit in your lap yet.

The high contrast illustrations in this book are awesome and so cohesive. They work perfectly to introduce the joy of Halloween to babies and young toddlers, with just enough spookiness that the adult reading it can enjoy them too. I appreciate how there is also some text that you can read to your baby so that they can start to associate the words with the pictures.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone with a child under around 1 year old. While it would be especially appropriate in the Halloween season, babies will love to stare at these pictures year round.

I will post in my blog and on social media about this book closer to release; I will update this with those links then.

Simple, High Contrast, perfect for my one year old. He stared at it the entire time. I like the clean lines to the pictures and it’s a fun Halloween book for a baby.

For being purely black and white they did a great job illustrating and typesetting this book. The high contrast is good for little ones developing eyes so this would be perfect for the little ones during spooky season.

As an aside I tried to view this on kindle and it does not display the illustrations at the moment.

Thank you to NetGalley, and the Publisher for the eARC! An adorable book for infants to look at during Halloween! The high contrast makes the pictures stand out and the simplicity of the pictures is not overwhelming. The pictures are not too scary either. A great first read to introduce very young readers to Halloween and Halloween vocabulary!

I love the monochromatic theme and that it’s “visual nourishment for baby brains.” It’s a gentle + fun introduction to all things spooky season. It’s the perfect starter book filled with all the creatures of the season and one Halloween adults will no doubt enjoy. Well done!

This simple picture book talks about halloween and uses black and white images and text to tell the story. There is minimal text per page, and the font is large and easy to read. I think this would be a great book for beginner readers, or even for younger children who want to enjoy a book with an adult. I would recommend this book for children in the age 3-6 range. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read and review this book.

This is a very short and sweet book with pictures of Hallowe'en night. I do wish there had been a bit more in the way of words and rhymes, but the artwork is cute and I'm sure young kids will appreciate this little glimpse of spooky joy!

As a lover of all things Halloween especially after having a Halloween baby, I loved this book especially for tummy time. It kept my 2 month old entertained and engaged looking at the illustrations. Despite the simplistic nature of the images there was a surprising level of detail — more than I expected to see. I was expecting simple outline images and received more.

I have no complaints with this book. It delivers exactly what was promised — a Halloween high-contrast book.

This book is perfect for kids 2 and under who love Halloween! My little girl is obsessed with all things Halloween and skeletons especially, and she couldn’t get enough. I’d recommend this as a board book for little kids.

A short book, but I liked the way in which the concepts associated with Halloween were explained, the colours chosen and although it has only a few pages, I felt like a little girl, as I thought: Who will come next? Which character will come out? Who is missing?
The illustrations are different and fun. A world of learning

Booook! is a spooky high contract board book that will be available in July of 2023.  It is a Halloween story for young children done entirely in high-contrast black and white.  There's pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons and bones all to get you ready for the spooky season!  A quick read for your toddler and it is apart of a collection that helps to visually nourish your child's brain with the high contract and clear shapes.  Be sure to look for other books that feature sports, the world, ocean friends, baby animals and garden bugs!

I received a free e-copy of this book from NetGalley in order to write this review, I was not otherwise compensated.
