This was a good mystery but not as thrilling as I had hoped. It was slow and not particularly captivating. It wasn't bad but not the best. A decent police procedural.

Another excellent read by Joshua Moehling. Great multidimensional protagonist ego continues to reveal more of himself in his second outing.
Really looking forward to the third book in this series.

Highly recommend.

Thank you for the digital ARC. Finished it in just over 24 hours. Great writing. Superb plot and plenty of twists to keep the reader on their toes.

I was glad to see Moehling bring Ben Packard back as acting sheriff in Sandy Lake. He's a great character!
I did like the thriller plot better in the first book (And There He Kept Her). Where the Dead Sleep is more of a whodunit, but still intriguing. And that ending!! I'm excited for book #3!!

Good book! This book had suspense, intrigue, action, great police work and a great who done it! It didnt have a cliffhanger, but it did leave on a continuation?! I guess I'd call it that?! The storyline was very interesting and had me glued to my Kindle! I will definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

Foreboding mystery with a strong sense of dread. Great mystery/thriller author. Packard is an engaging protagonist, and the plot draws you in. Recommended for fans of mystery/suspense, and of Joshua Moehling's writing. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

4.5 stars

First off I want to say that I read And There He Kept Her by Joshua Moehling, and that was one of my favorite books of 2022. This book was a great follow up. I absolutely love Packard as a main character and I’m so happy to see this becoming a series. Moehling’s first book was more on the mystery thriller side where as this one felt like more of a who done it mystery. It was very engrossing and the mystery was solid. I hinestky can’t wait for the next one!
