Such a sweet, endearing, lovely little book. Cute pictures illustrate Hugs the puppy's adventure as he goes on a journey of curiosity to find out his momma's kisses are his favorite kind of kisses.

My 4yo loves hugs and he loved dogs! This was such a cute book about a puppy figuring out different animal kisses, and realizing his mom's is the most special of all. I thought the illustrations were charming and cute. I love this updated classic! The artwork still feels like the books of my childhood and I enjoyed that.

This was a cute read about a curious puppy who goes off on an experiment to see who gives the best kisses.
I love the illustrations and I thought it was very sweet how the puppy describes each kids he receives from the various barnyard animals.

This is a cute little story about a puppy that goes on a mission to find out what different animals kisses are like. He asks for and receives kisses from several different animals on the farm. Each kiss is different, but good in some way. Then he gets home to get the best kiss of all from his mom.

The storytelling in this was very repetitive, making it a good book for a budding reader. It's not See Spot Run levels of repetition, but the repetition is there to build confidence.

The illustrations were soft and flowy feeling. They kind of reminded me of kids' books from my childhood, like the Little Golden Books illustrations. I'd be okay rereading this book a few times, but I wouldn't want to do it too often.

Overall I give this book 3.9 out of 5 stars.

This precious book had some of the sweetest artwork I have seen in a child's picture book in a long time. The story was so cute and the ending was just absolutely heartwarming.

This book was cute, but wasn't anything that we would reach for over and over before bed. There wasn't anything that made the book especially unique.

The cute little puppy wakes up early because he wants to find out who gives the best hugs and kisses. He finds that the duck gives a hard and wet kiss that is refreshing. The horse gives a damp and sticky kiss that is warm. The pig gives a muddy and scratchy kiss that is tender. The rabbit gives a wiggly and quick kiss that is soft. A butterfly gives him a tickly kiss that is wonderful. After all this the puppy learns that the best kiss is from his mom.

A tender and heartwarming read about a little puppy who sets out on a kissing quest one day. I loved the illustrations, especially those of Hugs receiving kisses. Cute story and perfect for reading with kids!

What a cute book! Hugs the puppy goes on a mission to find the answer to his question. Along the way Hugs meets many animals and returns home knowing he has the best home. This is a perfect book for moms to read with their little ones. The illustrations are cute and really add to the story.

Omg this was so sweet. The story and the illustrations alike. The book reads so well for young children and when you get to the illustrations where the puppy is getting a kiss it makes you all warm inside. This book is like a warm hug.

Such a cute story. I enjoyed reading this with my 11 month old. I think it would be a good lesson plan for teaching about body plays
