Vanellope Von Schweetz and the other racers from the game Sugar Rush are sent out of their arcade and into a Molly’s tablet. When Molly realizes the characters in her tablet can communicate with her, she uses their help to build a go-cart for a race with her new scouts troupe. However, the racers discover that Molly’s best friend may be betraying her, so they all have to learn what it really means to be a friend.

Wreck-It Ralph is one of my favourite recent Disney movies. It’s a hilarious movie about arcade game characters. Vanellope is such a fun character, so I was excited to read this book. It has a great message about friendship, and not lashing out just because you suspect someone has done something wrong. Actions can easily be misconstrued, especially if you don’t communicate.

Victory is Sweet is a great children’s chapter book!

Thank you Disney Books for providing a digital copy of this book!

This middle grade/early chapter book follows the character Vanellope from Wreck-it Ralph on her own adventures. The book is about 150 pages and divided into 14 chapters with about 10 pages of text and at least 1 large illustration per chapter. The text is large enough and well spaced for readers at this level and the text is fairly easy to read. I would recommend this book for kids reading at about a grade 2-3 level or anyone interested in the Wreck-It Ralph story and this fun female character! Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read and review this book!

While I know what the movie Wreck It Ralph is about, I never actually saw it, so I am happy to report that young readers can enjoy this book without having that knowledge, as well. The cover will be attractive to early readers but the text is actually for grades 3+. I loved Vanellope's character and the strong female message she sends while also being funny and relatable. I think middle to upper elementary children will enjoy the story as well as the unique characters this chapter book provides.

**Thank you, NetGalley and publishers, for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.**

Well this was a lot of fun! Sugar Rush Racers was a really cute Wreck it Ralph story that added to the overall lore of the world - it was a cute, lighthearted, and easy read. An added bonus that seeing the movies prior is not necessary.

Very cute early beginning chapter book for kids that love Disney's "Wreck it Ralph". When a child plugs her tablet in at the arcade, the sugar rush racers travel through the plug into her tablet.

Thank you Netgalley for gifting me an copy of this book. My review is completely my own and is not swayed in any way.

Sugar Rush Racers is a stand alone book that is true to it's WreckEm Ralph roots.. The expressions are hilarious and and the characters of adorable and strong. Very much on brand with the "girls can do what guys do, but it is not always going to be easy" message

The brilliant part of this book is that a child doesn't have to have seen either movie to understand the plot. There are a few nods, but nothing overly important..

For the love of purple puppy poop and Disney magic, give this book a read, you'll be happy you did.

This is a lighthearted read, easy enough for reluctant readers, with every few pages illustrated, but more challenging than an early leveled reader. The storyline captures the fun of Vanellope and characters, and imagines a new character, Molly, a real-life girl, who meets the characters when they are transported into her gingerbread village. I think this would be a high-interest book for anyone who likes Disney or Wreck-it Ralph. We would definitely add it to our public library collection.

First of all: Vanellope, YAY! She is sassy and a no-time-for-drama-kinda gall, rather a solution seeker. I love her character.

A fun short chapter book that is all about friendship and girl power. Vanellope and her friends are mistakenly downloaded into a girl's tablet. This happens when she charges her tablet at the game center while her mother is in charge of the renovation of the place. Meaning... Vanellope and her friends won't be able to return soon to the game station. Immediately Vanellope finds a way to find positives in their situation, especially when they learn Molly loves cars and to race. She is building her go-kart and wants to join the boys' scouts in their race.
The conflict is focused on Molly's relationship with her best friend when Rio is mean to Molly for the first time. Instead of being put down, Molly sticks to her goals. Vanellope and the galls help her go through the race. I also love that kids should follow their interests and not be forced to do activities that are pre-assigned to a specific genre.

Although it's short, there's a lot to discuss (actions and right or wrong, emotions, friendship, reacting to bad friends...) ...it's awesome for family time read aloud, as well as practicing reading skills because the dialogue is well written and fun.

I was excited to see the work of Saoirse Lou as an illustrator (already know her art from other works). I love her style and the way she presents the characters.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

What a fun way to bring familiar characters to life outside of the movie. I truly loved the lessons that the Candy Crush racers help Molly with. I also love that how Molly shows that sometimes doing something new that others haven’t done before can be hard, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t or shouldn’t do it. In fact, you might inspire others around you to try doing something new and different to them as well. I am looking forward to seeing what other adventures that Molly and the Candy Crush crew will go on.
Thank you so much to Disney Publishing Worldwide and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this book.

As an adult, I had a sweet time reading this charming chapter book! The Wreck-It Ralph Series is one of my go-to comfort movies, so being able to spend any more time exploring the creative world of video games is a treat that is hard to beat. For little readers who love Disney, this book will be an excellent way to encourage reading. Illustrations accompany the story to help provide visual context for readers as they begin to transition from picture books to chapter books.

This was such a cute read! Perfect for fans of Wreck It Ralph, but I also thinks kids would enjoy it as a stand-alone story as well. The characters were really well written and stuck to the characteristics and mannerisms that they were given in the movies. I LOVED the illustrations! And some of the wording was so fun and kid friendly, I think this will be a hit for many. Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC!

This is a cute new series that brings readers back to the world of Sugar Rush. Although this a bit of a departure from the Wreck It Ralph movies, I think this was still charm young readers and will be a fun new series to recommend.

When the arcade closes for a remodel, Vanellope and her her fellow Sugar Rush racers are reunited in on the back end of their games for a much needed vacation. Vanellope loves being back with her old friends and catching them up with her new life. But then Molly heads to the arcade with her mom and plugs in her tablet. And suddenly Vanellope and her friends are swept into the tablet and into the hands of Molly. After some adjusting to the new way of gaming/technology, they befriend Molly and vow to help her go-kart racing dreams come true!

What I loved: the realistic vibe of this novel in terms of friendships, family relationships, miscommunications and being unique

Messages that are powerful in the classroom or out of it: Molly is the first girl to join a boy scouts troop because she loves go karts and racing and that's the only place she can race. Her parents have a talk about how being the first to do something can be scary and how people may not always be excited or kind about it, but they 110% support her. There's even a part in the novel where one of the male racers says maybe people should just like things and not make it a boy or girl thing and that stuck with me. I love how supportive the dad is even when Molly changes her design plans; he just rolls with it.

Of course, I am a huge Wreck-It Ralph fan, so this novel would have brought me joy even without all the great messages and whimsical images. This is an illustrated novel and I LOVED all of them.

What happens when the characters from Sugar Rush from Disney's beloved movie Wreck It Ralph, end up getting sucked into a tablet held by a young girl by the name of Molly? A lot of learning. While this book wasn't something I felt super strongly about, the story was a great way to teach important lessons on friendship. Whether that's the friendship between Molly and her best friend or Molly and the Sugar Rush Racers. It also paints a beautiful picture that it's okay for girls to do boy things and vice versa. Hobbies don't have genders. It was cute and empowering, and I could see a young child enjoying this one quite a bit.
