Sarah Adam’s is becoming one of my favorite authors. I love the small town atmosphere. I love the small town people. I love the banter between the main characters! This one was another hit for me!

Sarah Adams has become one of my new favorite authors. Witty and sometimes sarcastic, her characters just make sense.

my thoughts:
um hello??? i was not expecting to love this cheesy little no spice/fade to black romantic comedy as much as i did. don’t get me wrong some aspects were cringey and beyond cheesy but that’s all to be expected and i didn’t cringe as hard as i have before when reading romances like this and you know…. maybe that’s because i will simply overlook anything and everything when will griffin is involved. um he’s perfect??? 10/10 absolutely my type of romcom book boyfriend. i also did end up really like annie’s character! i’ve seen so many other reviews talking about how they didn’t like her for various reasons but i’m here to tell you all she really was not that bad. i was expecting so much worse based on some of y’alls opinions. 👀

it was also fun to see amelia and noah return in this book! i wasn’t super attached to their characters or anything after reading when in rome but i appreciated the role they played as side characters in this novel and if you loved when in rome there’s a good bit of amelia and noah in here for you to hold onto! (BUT, i personally liked this one better out of the two🤭 is that a hot take??)

with all of that being said this is my new guilty pleasure romcom and i will continue to stan will griffin in my days to come.

I loved When in Rome by Sarah Adams so I was excited to get approved to read Practice Makes Perfect which happens in the same universe. I ate the story up. Will was perfection. Annie's character bothered me a bit more with her insecurities, but she came through in the end. I read this in two days at the beach and it was a perfect, romantic, quick read.

I can't wait to read Sarah Adam's next book!

This was the super sweet summer romance that I needed. I think this was such a fun way to spice up the stereotypical bodyguard trope. Instead of the FMC being the person protected, she is instead the sister of the person he is protecting. Add in fake dating, good communication, and an mmc that goes to therapy and I was sold. The only issue I had with this, is I found the FMC to be childish. Some of her cutesy dialogue had me rolling my eyes,

I have to say that I'm a big fan of the town of Rome, Kentucky, and its quirky residents. I was totally hooked on the author's last book, When in Rome, and couldn't wait to catch up with the gang in this new one, Practice Make Perfect. I loved Noah's bond with his sisters in the previous book, so I was delighted to learn that this story focuses on one of them. I absolutely adored "Angel" Annie. Her awkward, introverted, romance novel-loving character was charming and relatable. And how could I resist the sexy, swoon-worthy tattooed dreamboat of a bodyguard, Griffin? The chemistry between the two was undeniable, and their banter was off the charts. I enjoyed that Will saw Annie in a way that nobody else did, not even her family. Their interactions were so sweet! Their love story was beautiful to watch unfold; Will's supportiveness of Annie was perfection. Their emotional connection made the story so heartwarming and memorable. If you're a fan of cozy, opposites-attract romances with closed-door scenes, then I highly suggest giving this book a read.

Loved it! Such a sweet clean romance- I didn’t think I would enjoy this one but it made me laugh! The characters were perfect and believable. I will definitely pick up more from this author. I rarely give 5 stars, especially to romances but this one earns it.

I really enjoyed this continuation in the series so much. Annie and Will were so sweet together. I’m always a sucker for a relationship that grows from “lessons” when he’s teaching her how to be more desirable. I would recommend this read to anyone who is a fan of light hearted romances with MC’s that are non toxic and communicate their emotions.

This book was yet another amazing read by Sarah Adams. It was like nice big hug that you needed after a long work week. I devoured, DEVOURED this book and dare I say it might be even better than the first!? I feel like everyone can relate to sweet Annie especially when it comes to hiding yourself to make others feel better. And everyone WANTS a Will in their life. A bad boy exterior who is really a teddy bear under his hard shell.

I will never stop talking about how good Sarah Adams’ writing is. It’s funny, witty, and she has a way of making the genre of romance good again. She takes cliches and making them readable. She writes the guys POV like a guy would actually sound, instead of it sounding like a girl author writing a male perspective. Finally, she makes the plot realistic. This is not like a hallmark movie (it’s better) where the guy and girl bump into each other 2 or 3 times and then BAM they’re in love. There’s a plot, a story line, a reason to their hesitations, the characters actually have back stories and good ones, too. And most of all, when the guy and girl finally decide to be together, she stays true to their characters with a realistic but romantic happy ever after. She is my new favorite author and these are my new favorite books! 5 stars!!!!

Everything about this book is wonderful -- from chapter one, Annie's voice shines on the page. She's quirky, comical, and embarrassingly relatable at times, so much so that I cringe for her...but in the best ways. Will is an attractive bodyguard with tattoos, need I say more?

Their chemistry is palpable and sweet, making this one of my favorite stories.

After reading When in Rome, I became a fan of Sarah Adam’s writing. I felt like I could relate to Annie where she grew up with many siblings and feeling like nobody would understand her passion for reading romance. It reminded me of a younger version of me wanting to find my voice. It was a closed door romance which is my fave but overall I loved the plot and characters so it was enjoyable.

Practice Makes Perfect is exactly how I feel about Sarah Adams' books. The more books she writes, the better writer she becomes. I absolutely LOVED When In Rome and the second book in the series lived up to my expectations. The sweet fake dating trope between Will and Annie was adorable, yet steamy, and filled with the one of a kind Sarah Adams charm!

Absolutely LOVED this, the first in the series was a high 3 stars I rounded up for 4 for me but this was a five. It’s technically a stand alone but I think it would be hard to understand all the side characters and backstory of the town if you haven’t read When in Rome first. Annie has lived in Rome her whole life, she has her siblings and a successful floral business, the only thing missing is a relationship. After a string of bad dates, and some meddling from her future sister in law, she enlists the help of Will - the body guard who’s stationed in Rome until the wedding. A grumpy x sunshine fake dating story set in a small town was basically a perfect set up to get 5 stars from me and it didn’t disappoint. Each book of hers that I’ve read I’ve liked more and more so I’ll continue to read this series as each sibling gets their story!

I overall enjoyed Practice Makes Perfect. It was fun, fast paced and I couldn't put it down. I loved the small town vibes and the girl next door/bad boy romance. I really enjoyed Annie's POV and the representation of anxiety when it comes to intimacy. I really enjoyed too her quest and determination to discover and be who she truly is versus staying in the box that she and those around her have put her into.

I will probably continue one with the series/go back and read the first book. They are a good inbetween book when I don't want something too heavy but not pure fluff and can be read fast.

This was a very fun small town romance. I’m loving this trend of the tattooed grumpy male lead and the sunshine female lead trope. There was strong female friendships, which I love, love. Also, a closed door spicy moment, which I think works with the book.

Annie is on a quest to find her perfect match who is nice, kind, and ready to settle down. When she decides a little practice is all she needs, Will Griffin, a tattooed and gorgeous flirt, is the best candidate. Except Will wants the opposite: not to settle down and to stay away from Annie. But as a fake relationship blossoms to keep the meddling town at bay, the lines start to blur.

This is certainly cute rom com, however I didn’t find anything life altering while reading. Annie is certainly relatable, and Will has the dark body guard personality yet is a cinnamon roll for those he cares about. Which honestly, what more could you want in a story like this? It gives those feel good Hallmark movie vibes, but is spicier and not as cheesy.

I enjoyed all the characters and the plot, and has those swoon worthy moments you look for. I love that Will gives Annie the adventure she subconsciously needs.

I got the ARC for this and I was so excited because the first book in this series, When In Rome, was a 5 star read for me and one of my all time favorites so I was sure I would like this one but didn’t think it could beat the first one - AND YET - I may have loved this even more! Will and Annie are the best together, I love the banter and their journey together. I especially love all the names she teases him with that start with ‘Will’ 🤣💕
I like the serious parts too where Will’s past is brought up. The whole story checks every box for me for a perfect romcom book! (Noah and Amelia from the first book make appearances too!)
I can’t wait for more in the series- and may even reread the first 2! Definitely pick these up if you’re looking for some adorable romances!

Sarah Adams is quickly rising the ranks of favorite authors!

Annie is an introverted, socially anxious flower shop owner. She's so adorably awkward, but that makes her absolutely relatable in almost a painful way. As any socially anxious person knows, communicating with people you're attracted to is downright agonizing, so when she overhears a date talking about how boring she is, she knows it's time for a tutor.

In walks Will, a sexy, tattooed bodyguard. Though he claims to have trust issues, the one person he can open up to is Annie. So when she asks for dating help... he can't help but say yes.

The chemistry between the two characters is electric and, unlike a lot of modern romances, completely genuine. I feel like Annie could be my best friend and that Will would be my perfect match (if he wasn't already head over heels for Annie).

This was so fun to read!
