First off, thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book, in exchange for honest feedback.

I have to admit, I quickly read the first book (which was on my want to read list anyway) in preparation to read and review this ARC. I was unsure of how the author was going to write another story about these characters, as it seemed in the first book that they found their happily ever after... BUT, as Josh says in this book, "I think life would be boring if it were only happily every after..."

I knew beginning this book that there was going to be a major upset in the storyline, because that was the only way to have a second book following the way the first ended. However, I was not prepared for what curveball was thrown in. This book was emotionally taxing, a majority of the book had me feeling really down... I was holding my breath for something good to happen. I read this over the course of just over a day, I couldn't put it down, because I needed to get to something with some hope, or happiness!

I am pleased to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the way the story came together in the last 3/4 of the book, and I really, really enjoyed this one!

I would also like to say that the acknowledgements at the end of the book helped me to understand why the story took this turn, I was kind of thrown with the main idea, but really loved that it had purpose for the author. I give this a strong 4.5 stars.

I would recommend this series to anyone looking to read a great love story with more than one happy ending!

Josh and Gemma started as an unconventional couple when she asked him to be a sperm donor. One thing kef to another and they became a real couple. After tragedy, life begins again and we see everyones true colors. There are ups and downs, and it's messy, but I'm the end good this happen to good people. Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC.

This was my first time diving into the world of Josh and Emma and now I need to read the first one. I normally never start a book in the middle of its series but this looked too cute!! It was a solid love story and a good second chance romance. The characters were great and the pacing moved good enough for me to enjoy it.

First I would like to thank you Net Galley for being a platform to help the authors to promote their books. I would like to express my gratitude to the Swift & Lewis Publishing LLC for approving mu request to read this book. This book is really interesting and knowledgeable book I don’t think if it is appropriate to define it like that. The story begins with Josh and Gemma’s wedding where everything will change their life. There are a lot in this book it made me feel heartbroken, devastated, hopeless but above all the unconditional love was left me speechless. I really love how Josh unconditional love proves that “it is a matter of who you choose to struggle with”. As to Gemma I love how she process with everything and choose to fight like what Ian “This may not be the life you want, but it’s the one you’ve got. Live it. ” Highly recommended this book

Josh and Emma were ready for their happy ever after but life is too real and in the day of their wedding everything goes wrong!

Emma’s happy and lighthearted character is gone! She needs to adapt to her new reality but that is not easy. She doesn’t want to disappoint Josh but can he love the new Emma.

This story will show how real life can actually be, Love is not everything specially when dealing with a partner’s illness. I love how Emma is committed to get better and work on herself.

I want to kill Emma’s brother, I know he is Josh best friend but his aptitude towards both of them 😡😡😡 Come on! mind your own business!

Josh in the other side is drained! Dealing with his job in the opposite side of the country, a new born and the arising issues with Emma. It’s totally a wonder how he’s dealing with all that!

It’s seriously a great read, a bit fantastical in how all comes together but totally worth it!

Sequel to Josh and Gemma Make a Baby this book starts with Gemma 34 weeks pregnant so much in love with each other and preparing for their wedding.
But what would happen if you got a brain injury goes into a coma wakes up a couple of months later unable to feel love? Not towards your family not towards your fiancé not even towards your new born baby. Will their relationship withstand this difficult times?

This book got really emotional at times. Josh’s love for Gemma and her not wanting to give up even if she struggles with feeling any emotions i just loved how she wanted so much to feel. It was like a second chance for them to fall back in love with each other. What i didn’t quite like was the miscommunication between the two.
We also get to see Ian Fortune playing a big part in this. Overall I enjoyed Josh and Gemma journey.

I've definitely got some mixed feelings about this book and I'm not entirely sure how I really feel about it... I loved the first book in this series (which I think is a must read if you want to give this one a try) and I still loved the connection between Josh and Gemma, and Josh is an absolute sweetheart of a character that I absolutely adored. I think at the end of the day I just didn't want these characters to go through anything that they did in this book.

It was definitely and interesting story and I think one that deserves to have been told. It's definitely dealing with some really heavy subject matter but some of the actions of the characters just made me so angry. I completely understand why Gemma was the way she was and I would get upset with myself for being angry at her which I think is part of the reason I don't know how to feel about this book.

Taking the story out of it and my emotions around the characters, the story is very well thought-out, the pacing fantastic, and the writing style is great. The characters are well developed and I was emotionally invested in their story.

It's not a story I think was necessarily needed as I think Josh and Gemma's story was pretty well wrapped-up in the first book, but it was nice to revisit these characters and see them come through the other side with another happy ending.

I was worried about reading this one since I did not read the first on but I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. It was a cute story with twists and turns that had me wanting more. I will now go back to the the first one.

I feel conflicted because I really loved the first book and had high hopes for this sequel. But once I finished it I realized how unnecessary it was. Everything I enjoyed about the first book wasn’t in thus, and to be fair some of that was expected because it wouldn’t make sense to reuse the same plot lines. But all of the conflicts and character choices felt so out of left field?? The book wasn’t bad but doesn’t come close to how interesting and captivating the first one was.

I am not a huge romance reader. But I absolutely adored the first book! So I am so happy I had the chance to read the sequel.

Josh and Gemma are back and preparing for their happily ever after. But things take a nose dive and things change. We are thrown into a rollercoaster of emotions as we watch Josh and Gemma fight for their love. Will they be able to get to the happy ending they deserve?

What I enjoyed:
- Gemma and Josh are just such an adorable couple. I love their chemistry and banter! Gemma is a fun MC
- I LOVE some character arcs we witnessed!
- Okay there is a lot more but I don’t want to spoil anything!

This was seriously a very sweet sequel to a great previous book. I am always open to go back to their universe. 4 stars out or 5. Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This is the sequel to Josh and Gemma Make a Baby. I'll be honest - I didn't remember the first book. However, I caught up a bit while reading this book. Gemma and Josh are getting married, but she gets preeclampsia and faints during her vows. When she wakes up, she doesn't feel anything for Josh. To complicate things, her ex (who was the villain in the last book) is there, and she feels something (anger, but she feels something!). She's wondering if her love for Josh will ever come back.

If you haven’t read Josh and Gemma make a baby yet I highly recommend picking it up it was my favourite of last year (review can be found on my feed) and dealt beautifully with the struggle of infertility.

And just like that Josh and Gemma the second time around deals with another tough subject in a not too heavy way. It’s like Sarah Ready knows how to balance heavy topics which just the right amount of humour to not make it just a heavy emotional depressing read, but to show you there is light at the end of the tunnel. I laughed out loud, I got angry, I got sad this book has it all.
The characters are just amazing and I do not think I would have ever thought during the first book I could like Ian but by the end of this I actually could feel a bit for him.
I don’t want to give any spoilers away so I am leaving this review really vague. But trust me when I say this probably ends up in my favourite for this year with a rating of 5 stars.
.
Thank you #Netgalley and the the author @SarahReady for providing me with an E-Arc in exchange for my honest review. It was so much fun to read this.

Really enjoyed the first book in this series and was very excited to see a second one, I'd not realised one was even coming. Another great read!

I absolutely loved Josh and Gemma's first book and I have enjoyed every Sarah Ready book I've read. Still, I picked this one up with a bit of trepidation. I avoided reading anything about the story, so I was wondering what Josh and Gemma would have to go through to get their HEA.

I'll be honest this book put me through the emotional wringer. It was so hard seeing Gemma's experience with TBI and how it affected her life and relationships. However, as much as I love the HEA, it was truthful to see that life gets hard and that can change everything. The love Josh had for Gemma and her determination to move forward were both great, and reminded me why I originally liked them so much in the first book.

This book is emotional, heartbreaking, and sad at times. It's also hopeful, sweet, and a romantic. I definitely recommend reading the first book before this one to get Josh and Gemma's full story.

4 stars
TW; Brain injury / coma (mentioned) / ongoing medical conditions / overcoming trauma
Thank you to NetGalley and Swift & Lewis Publishing for a copy of this ARC. All thoughts are my own.

Initial Thoughts
After enjoying the first book in the Josh and Gemma series, I was eager to return to this world. I wasn't quite prepared for how deeply emotional this book would get.

What's great about this book?
- The fact that I went into this not expecting something as major as a brain injury from the synopsis did worry me to begin with. However, I think the author handled writing about the brain injury Gemma suffered from really well. The first book was about the struggles of pregnancy and so I should have expected something equally as emotional from this book. I feel that with (both books) Sarah Ready has respected and navigated the hardships that Gemma and her immediate friends and family faced. It was written compassionately but didn't hide the harder times, the moments of sheer frustration and heartbreak, which I appreciated the further I read.
- Gemma has always been someone who I've enjoyed, and reading how she faced these new challenges - some she'll have to live with - was an emotional journey for me. I had moments of sadness with her, and others with Josh as she struggled to understand how to live in the world after her coma. I was grateful that this story took its time to process. It felt more realistic for her and the reader.
- Surprisingly, my favourite character was Ian - and given how much of a douchebag reputation he garnered for himself in the first book, I wasn't ever expecting that. However, his story was one of the best twists this book had in it, and I would love to read a future story from his point of view if the author ever wrote one.
- The rebuilding of connections, especially with Josh, and the forming of new ones was nicely balanced throughout. I found the intimacy well-timed, and I appreciated the romance.

Things I didn't quite enjoy
- I did find the last big frustration between Josh and Gemma to be rather odd. I get there was a lot of miscommunication in that situation, but there had been a lot of it throughout, so the blowup felt odd, especially with how easy it was later resolved. Speaking of, the miscommunication bugged me a lot, and I don't understand why it had to be made into such a big deal.
- I understand the need to bring characters from the past book into this for continuity, but Gemma's friends gave little value to the overall storyline and felt hastily put in.
- I wish there were trigger warnings listed for this book. I have looked here on GoodReads and the NetGalley listing for this, and there aren't any. I know that the synopsis hints at things turning upside down, but really, the storyline is far more emotional than I expected it to be from the vagueness of what is depicted. There's keeping the storyline under wraps for surprise and intrigue, and then there's submitting readers to something that perhaps might be too much for them to read about. I feel talking about her brain injury without saying how it happened in the synopsis would give readers a better option on whether it's something they wish to read or not. I've seen a few comments on social media about how blindsided they were by this book, and I have to agree. This isn't any reflection of the book itself, as it's beautifully presented, but by the marketing team for not sharing enough information.

Final thoughts
I'm glad that Josh and Gemma got there in the end. I really like the way Sarah Ready writes topics that are harder to navigate in society and will look out for future books by this author.

I really enjoyed this story! I was glad to be able to see this was a book 2, and read the first story first. Josh and Gemma are such lovable characters and I really enjoyed the journey!

Thanks to NetGalley and Swift & Lewis Publishing for the ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Very quick one-sitting read. Not as good as the first one, but still good. I wasn't expecting there to be a sequel as I don't think it was needed, and if you didn't read the first, you might be lost with this one, especially with the character of Ian. Some laugh out loud parts, and I really like the author's style of writing.

I absolutely loved the first book, Josh and Gemma Make a Baby, so as soon as I saw this on NetGalley, I had to request it!

I went into this story without really knowing anything about the plot. After the first chapter, I was like WHAT JUST HAPPENED?? It only got crazier from there as this is told from Gemma’s POV.

I loved the extra character depth of Ian, the ass from the first book. At first I didn’t understand why it was relevant to the story, but it gets to that eventually.

My only complaint was that I really felt Josh and Gemma had very bad communication skills with one another, leaving the other hurt for days at a time when a simple text or call could fix the issue at hand.

Overall, it was a great sequel. Yeah, it wasn’t needed, but it was still a very fun read with characters I loved in the past.

I wasn't quite sure where this story could go after the happy ending. What a whirlwind it ended up being. I still love reading about these two as much as ever. Even though this hurt my heart a little, I enjoyed every minute of it.
