I recieved an eACR copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for this opportunity.

I like the premise of this story, and the characters were fine, however, it really fell short for me. I found it to be a bit repetitive, and confusing at times. It could have been condensed, in my opinion.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Headline for an advance read in exchange for this review.

Lizzie's twin brother passes away and makes her promise that she will live her life, travel, and write. She travels to a small island town close to Seattle to stay on the beach. She meets Nick, whose wife died three years ago.

I liked a lot of the book. I thought Lizzie was a great character. Nick seemed like a decent person too with a good dad. I loved the dogs. The small town setting was charming. However, this book could not decide if it wanted to be a mystery or a romance. I think it had all the things for a sweet romance involving two people learning to move on from their grief. I didn't think the mystery aspect that was introduced near the end was necessary at all. It was rushed. The ending did not feel like it was resolved, so I am not sure what to make of that. Also, the book would go from first person to third person. That was confusing. It's too bad because I liked 3/4 of the book. I did like the Marissa stuff in the beginning, but it really took over the book at the end.

After the death of her twin brother, Lizzie starts to fulfill a promise to travel and see the world. First stop, a small island town off the coast of Seattle. But after losing her phone and having to deal with a refurbished one, things don't seem to be going in her way. Then, things start looking up when she gets a message meant for someone else and begins a friendship with a man she keeps meeting on the beach.

This was a hard one for me. I liked the premise. I liked the characters. I loved the setting. But so much of the rest fell short. Lizzie and Nick were perfect for each other. They have a cute romance after some immediate attraction. The mystery of Marissa, the wife that disappeared three years ago, was also compelling. However, there were large chunks that were slow, too slow. I needed more action or suspense. It was almost as if the book didn't know what it wanted to be: a cozy romance or a mystery. The ending, being pretty abrupt, dropped me down a star. I was honestly surprised it ended when it did. I kept clicking to find more, but there wasn't anything.

All in all, an interesting read. I know it will find it's audience!

-mystery
-dealing with loss
-small town

Thanks to NetGalley and Headline for the ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
The idea for this book showed great promise which was unfortunately not carried out very well. It was a rambling story with not much action and the same thoughts repeated over and over. It also kept switching between first person and third person narrative, sometimes on the same page, which was confusing. There was nothing surprising and it was a struggle to get through it. Can't recommend.

Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. This was an interesting story, but I felt there was far too much unnecessary exposition and clunky speech, which unfortunately detracted from my enjoyment of the story and took me away from what was happening. The setting was beautiful and I liked the characters of Lizzie and Nick.

Thank you for the advanced copy of this.

Well what can I say other than this kept me gripped and I finished it in one afternoon.

Very well put together, great writing and just a truly believable storyline. This story covered every emotion and at times was incredibly powerful.
I enjoyed all the characters in this and became heavily invested in Lizzie and Nick.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5

This was such a well written and heartbreakingly beautiful story.

Lizzie and Nick meet and form a bond when they are both suffering from loss. Together they travel, and heal together.

This book had a like bit of everything. Heartbreak, love, suspense. I knew it would be emotional, but in a good way. This is one that kept me thinking about it the next day.

Definitely add to you tbr list!

This is one of those stories that keep you wondering. I enjoyed this story, but there were parts that surprised me, and made me wish that it would get to the point, but overall I really enjoyed the story. I don’t know Savage Cove swept me up and made me wish I could feel the sea air on my face. Nick and Lizzie as well as the other characters who pop up in this story will entertain you, but they do drone on a little and some chapters could be taken out, but I liked the whole twist in the story, the café and the sea, it could have done with a little more sweeping at times but overall I enjoyed this story. I must admit that Marissa added an extra something to the story and I did wonder at times if it was done well, but in the end it pulled together and created a deeper story.

I liked this story but feel it couldn’t have been shorted. Lizzie’s mind wondered too much and made it hard to follow. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC

Gosh this was a story and a half. Set in America near Seattle. A lost phone that led to a great story. I was not sure from the back of the book if it would be too sad as I have just lost my mother but it was not. The two main characters had lost people close them and the of them falling in love and not giving up their dreams and twists that you did not see coming. Loved it. A perfect curl up on the sofa book

"Lizzie, once I’m gone you need to live on. Feed your wander-
lust. Travel. Write. See the world. It’s what you’ve always wanted  to do. Explore, and don’t let anything keep you from your goal. You can take me with you in your thoughts. Okay? Promise?"

That her twin brother last wishes and that why Lizzie star this journey, going places, take picture, living her dream live and then meet Nick. They are bound with the same grief, losing someone they love. Lizzie journey uncover mystery event in Savage Cove. It helps Nick to find his closure and move on.

I love how Lizzie live, traveling alone, enjoy her moment, do her work, i know sometime she feel lonely. And there are Nick, they spend time together, traveling together, want to be each other company, eat delicious food. There are much drama that anoyyed me, Marissa especially.

Thank you to NetGalley for provide this book, it is pleasure to review this book. Also thank you to Headline, The publisher has granted my wish.

Great, great, great - I am giving it a lot of love...read this one! An intense, emotional and utterly compelling narrative!

This was an emotional read but for me I found it a bit slow going and I just didn’t quite get into it as much as I hoped I would. The story itself is a fantastic study of grief and how it affects you, with two lovely main characters and a bit of a mystery thrown in. If you like a slow burner romance this is definitely one for you.

A well written story with an intriguing plot, I felt really invested in the characters.
This was such a devastatingly beautiful story!
I fell in love with the characters Lizzie and Nick... my heart is still wrenching.
What these characters felt their grief, longing, love, happiness, sadness and anger just seeped off the pages! Truly deep and powerful.
The story is thought-provoking and sweet! And I had the absolutely best time reading their story!
