I enjoyed the overall premise of this book, it's a great subject to explore to encourage kids/teens to make a change in the world and stand up for causes they care about; however, I did take some issues with some of the methods the teens used in the story to achieve their goals. Sure, when you're doing activism of any kind there is the possibility that you'll cross some lines for the cause, but I'm not sure some of their actions should be presented as acceptable such as lying and vandalism.

That aside, I really enjoyed the art, story and characters overall. It was a quick and enjoyable read about sparking the idea of activism and taking action to stand up for what you believe.

This is a case where you definitely get the sense that it is translated into English. The translation is strong, to be sure, but there's still a foreign air to it. The illustrations are fantastic. And we learn a fair amount about the environmental impact of all sorts of energy and major industries.

I actually liked this book a lot! Enjoyed it very, very much! I had heard of other reviewers who thought that maybe you should think twice before just handing this book over to your kid, but I disagree. I think this book is great. Yes, it will raise some questions. Yes, it might make your child think about issues you yourself are not thinking about and maybe do not want to think about. Yup. If that is an issue for you, then, well, yes, do think twice. If you are ready to talk more about saving the planet and seeing if there is anything, anything at all you and your family can do, then yes, do give this book to your kids.
Also, be prepared to talk about how and why some people happen to be blatantly ignorant, and some are even proud of being that way.
What I liked about this book just as well as the message: the Manga-style drawings, especially facial expressions. It is like Manga, just in a very clean way.
My tween read it also and she says he liked it a lot, she said she would like to read more from the same author.

Giving this to your child might or might not be a huge mistake, but in the best possible way. My children have been rereading this comic since I wrapped up and now have started looking a bit closer at the social causes they had previously been passionate about. It shows how to look into causes and make presentations that bring others to your cause. Aaaannnnnddd...... Now I'm listening to my 3rd presentation on how we could create a community garden down the street and decrease our reliance on the big box stores as well as teaching the local schools about how their food is created. And my teen is back on the climate change, save the polar bears, and save the whales warpath, ready to fight the patriarchy and play fisticuffs with anyone who tries to stop them. 😂

I love this little comic and hope to see more from this author in the future. I'm looking forward to my little planet protectors making big waves like their new favorite crew.

The story is about three girls and one boy who are frustrated with adults not listening to them or taking them seriously when it comes to saving our planet. They come up with big ways to get the word out and to as many people as they can about how we are destroying our planet. I love this graphic novel. The information in this book about the ways we are hurting the planet and the living things on it, is great and I didn't even know about some of them.
Win, graphic novel kids love. Win, talks about how we are hurting our planet and the living things on it. Win, talks about ways to help our planet. I am hoping there will be back matter so kids can find more information on how to help the planet and the living things on it. Thank you for allowing me to read your book.

The Green Girls is a very good graphic novel for those already interested in the environment. The fact sheets included taught me (as an adult) a thing or two. But the overall message that you need to break the law in order to get your point or message across is extreme. What about working within the system with petitions or writing letters or actually contacting your local representative? Fortunately this is fiction and I hope that any young reader out there realizes that and that things are dramatized to keep you reading.

This is a unique graphic novel that I hope will get young minds thinking! But just don’t do things behind your parents back like the Green Girls-they might be your biggest supporters.

Translated from French, THE GREEN GIRLS is a middle grade graphic novel about four friends who are tired of having people around them reject their efforts to improve the planet. To gain attention of classmates and the general public, THE GREEN GIRLS take their projects to the extreme to create filmable public disruption. As their new tactics go viral, they find classmates and adults start listening.

This fictional graphic novel is interspersed with news articles and infographics that explain the specifics of the climate issues discussed. Youth passionate for the environment will appreciate the characters' creativity and tenacity. Others may be inspired to learn more about the climate impacts of corporations and travel.

While i love the art and the article pages that shared what you could do to help save the planet. I do feel that the girls did exhibit some inappropriate and illegal behaviors while trying to make a difference that i feel are not a good example.

Three girls want to save the world, but no one seems to care.
This book is so important! Everyone, regardless of their age should read the book. It covers an important topic that we need to be talking about more. Climate change is happening whether we think it is or not! These three girls are incredible. They bring to mind images of Greta Thunberg and the hard work she is doing.
I will absolutely be adding this book to the middle school library to help start the discussion of what younger generations can do for climate change.

There was a lot of new to me information on pollution and environmental problems that this book is going to lead me to further research, which I truly appreciate. Shining light on environmental issues, conservation and global warming is of utmost importance and for that reason I am thankful for books like this that shed some light on the issues. Overall, that is the highlight of this book.

That being said, there was a lot of teenage angst and anger in this book. It was fancied up to be righteous anger, but it still read as anger. The tone was just a bit off-putting for me. I also think that the authors really should have included more legal and ordinary ways that people can help promote and assist in righting environmental issues. It was very dramatized here.

Overall, I love the topics covered, but not the execution as to how they were covered. It was too angry, despite the goal of showing how the teens get active in the cause. The information I gleaned from reading this was very useful and I think that is the main selling point.

This book had a good premise, but it felt weird to celebrate kids running off and doing things that all the way legal like sneaking into places that shouldn't that could potentially be dangerous. The illustrations and style of it were really neat.

This was a solid graphic novel about kids who want to make a difference for the environment and planet. It did feel a little extra/forceful at times, and the romance felt like it came out of nowhere. More importantly, the romance didn’t feel necessary to the story.
