I love all of the books in the Private series. Private Moscow was a great read. I am always interested in seeing what Jack Morgan, Mo-bot and SCI are up to!
In this story, Jack in personally investigating the murder of his close friend Karl, while trying to find out who the next target is, while trying to prevent it at the same time.
James Patterson is always a master at weaving multiple story lines together, so I always feel like I'm getting a 'two for one' with his books. The story also investigates a murdered reporter in Russia, who was publishing valuable secrets. If you're a fan of JP, you won't be disappointed!
Jack Morgan has just been hired to investigate the kidnapping and murder of an old comrade and friend.
Karl was a marine and a telecom genius who is loaded now. His wife, Victoria, hires him to find out what the truth is.
Meanwhile, Yana Petrov, an office worker, is murdered execution style.
When the head of investigations begins to help Jack try and uncover the truth, they are finding out a lot of truths, and not all pleasant. Some of these are very old secrets and may hold the key to uncovering the truth about the killings. Are they related?
The truth should set you free, but this may shake up the world!

Thank you NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for allowing me to read an advanced copy of Private Moscow.
The story started off with a bang and the ride kept taking off from there. The short chapters made the book feel quick to read. It was full of suspense and interesting characters.
A very thrilling and completely engrossing Private story that has Jack Morgan leaving NY and heading to Moscow in an attempt to unravel a conspiracy with Russian roots that was responsible for an old friend and mentor' s murder. Jack follows a series of clues left to him by his murdered friend and they lead him right to a huge Russian ring of govt sanctioned undercover agents living and working in the US.
The story is nonstop action with very detailed character developments and a plot that jumps back and forth between countries almost seamlessly.
Welcome back Jack.
James Patterson novels are new to my reading repertoire but they have been loved by many for a reason. The mystery and intrigue is unparalleled and an exciting ride. Private Moscow was thrilling and had a great mystery element to it. The suspense was great and made for a fun story.
