175 easy and delicious single-serving recipes to try. I have an air fryer and I'm looking forward to trying some of these recipes. Cooking at home is the most effective way to eat healthier without sacrificing flavor. This book gives great information on why you should use an air fryer. It tells you how to choose an air fryer and explains the size, style, air fryer functions, preheating, olive oil sprayers, silicone tongs, ramekins , pizza pans, mini loaf pans, parchment paper, breading trays, spatulas and silicone baking cups. There are pictures and recipes for Breakfast, Appetizers and Snacks, Sides, Poultry Main Dishes, Beef and Pork, Seafood and Fish, Vegetarian, and Desserts with even a US/Metric Conversion Chart. Everything you need to get started cooking with your Air Fryer. This is the only device you need in your kitchen, I would like to thank Adams Media and NetGalley for a copy for an honest review.
Air fryers are a terrific tool for cooking without the mess and calories of oil frying. However, they have one major disadvantage, a small cooking area. Cooking in batches means food either gets cold or your family begins meals at different times. However, the air fryer excels at cooking small quantities making The I Love My Air Fryer Cooking for One Recipe Book the perfect way to use your air fryer efficiently.
Stuffed full of easy and tasty recipes, each one has full nutritional information. With over 175 choices from appetizers through desserts, everyone is sure to find something that piques their interest. The recipes within this cookbook are suitable for any level of chef. The ingredients are easy to find in any grocery store. Since the recipes make food for solo diners, this would make a great gift for college dorm or small apartment residents. My one complaint is the lack of pictures of most of the recipes. Still, 4 stars for the unique perspective of The I Love My Air Fryer Cooking for One Recipe Book.
Thanks to Adams Media and NetGalley for a digital review copy of the book.
Conceptually inspiring! This is a book of simple, single serving air fryer recipes. Everything from French Toast to Lobster and Hard Boiled Eggs to Chocolate Lava Cake in single servings! This book isn't just for singletons. I love my air fryer already, but this gives me so many options for quick and simple one-off that can satiate a whim without having a bunch of leftovers to contend with for several days. Each recipe has clear instructions and most require only a handful of ingredients. The only negative thing I have to say is that there are too few photographs of the recipes, and, of those shown, none are terribly impressive or inspiring for someone who touts themself as a "food stylist" and food photographer.
Clean and easy to read layout of recipes and I appreciate the listing the estimate cost per meal in the description. I do love my air fryer and found the recipes in this book easy to understand and execute. More vegetarian options would be my only recommendation.
I tried the Spaghetti Squash Tacos and they were really yummy for dinner then the next day as a lunch option.
Some of these recipes sound delicious and seem easy enough to prepare, but I was disappointed at the lack of photos. I’m a hugely visual person when it comes to cookbooks and the majority of recipes did not have photos which is a huge drawback. If this book had more images, I’d love to purchase a physical copy for my kitchen.
A wonderful cookbook featuring so many recipes I want to try! A lovely addition to any cook's kitchen.
Thank you to NetGalley and Adams Media for the free digital ARC!
I liked the focus of one-person air fryer recipes in this book. It's just my husband and me so it can be hard to make recipes that don't leave too many leftovers. We also have an air fryer that we never use so it was nice to find recipes that I might use in the future.
The recipes themselves are pretty easy to follow, with all of the ingredients and steps written out clearly. There were a lot of recipes that had a tip off to the side, such as a quick sauce to make to go with the dish or alternative ingredients to use.
There were also pictures throughout the cookbook that showed what some of the recipes looked like. Unfortunately there weren't pictures for every recipe, which I know some people don't like. However, that is something that doesn't personally bother me.
There is also a U.S./metric measurements conversion chart at the back of the book that will be helpful to anyone outside of the U.S. who uses this cookbook.
Overall, I would recommend this book to those who want to use their air fryer more and make recipes that don't leave lots of leftovers.
I just recently got an air fryer and the recipes in this book are perfect for me.I learned techniques and ideas for using my air fryer good recipie book for me.#netgalley #adamsmedia
There is a complete abundance of recipes for one person that use the air fryer. Every chapter had at least 15 recipes, with most having well over 20. I drooled over everything from appetizers through desserts, with a breakfast chapter coming last. Most recipes can be made with pantry ingredients already on hand. Some have photos but not all (if that's important to you). Nutritional information is provided for each recipe. This is a cookbook I will be using all the time - I have an underutilized said fryer and my next decision will be what to cook for lunch!
I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing the uncorrected proof I used for this review.
I was glad I got to read this book. Until now I only put fries and potatoes in the airfryer. I have now made 3 recipes and now that my daughter is going to do an internship abroad and I am more alone at home, I can read even more recipes. Thank you author and Netgalley for letting me have this book. I'm definitely going to him. store well too!
Very useful recipe book. I found it has been useful one day it was just me eating a meal and I didn't want to make too much food.
I do recommend this nice recipe book.
Being new to the air fryer craze and cooking for one, this book brings a wealth of information and so many wonderful recipes! I’m looking forward to trying them all!!
After a lot of too-ing and fro-ing I eventually caved to the hype and bought an air fryer. It was the electric cost saving that finally swung it and made my mind up to buy one. Since then, I have been experimenting but at the same time on the look-out for a cook book/recipe book.
The cover of this book is quite bold and I would say eye catching with its different food and the bright bold font of the book title. I reckon it would stand out enough on a book shelf to catch my eye and make me want to learn more.
I like the idea of the smaller portions, there’s just myself and my daughter and most books seem to have recipes for families. You don’t always want to eat the left overs the next day and these days no one can afford to waste food, so smaller scaled recipes is perfect for our household.
The recipes are easy enough to follow, not all of them need loads of ingredients and none of them really need totally obscure ingredients like you get in some recipes! The recipes don’t seem overly complicated, there isn’t what I call “a lot of faff” meaning not a great deal of time & effort into getting ingredients ready and actually doing the recipe. I think most people will find a recipe or two within the book that they want to and feel they can make.
The main negatives I have are that some of the measurements use the “cup” sizing which I feel is more American aimed than for the UK. Certainly, there are some recipes that I may try, some with adaptations and others as they are in the book. I have to be totally honest I aren’t entirely sure what I expected from the book but I was a little disappointed, it just didn’t wow me. It didn’t have me racing to the kitchen to try something out. Maybe I expected too much but it didn’t seem fully relevant to me and the things I like to eat, or the things I would like to try to make.
Summing up, if I had picked this one up in a bookstore and flicked through it, I probably wouldn’t have bought for myself.
As a single woman, this book is incredible for cooking for myself. So many cookbooks make servings that last me days. This book allows me to cook a variety of meals without having so many leftovers for me to get sick of! It’s full of so many recipes for any time of day!
I am now addicted to the Crispy Steak House Potato Wedges, from this cookbook!! Every single recipe has been extremely tasty and pretty easy to make. I have a very basic air fryer and this cookbook still worked perfectly for it.
I have to say getting a new air fryer opened up a ton of doors and books for me.
When I saw that this book had recipes for one it sounded like exactly what I was looking for and I was right.
The recipes are clear, detailed, and easy to follow with great pictures to use as reference, and best of all they're made for one so there is no calculating measurements when you're trying to cut down a larger serving recipe.
I already have a list of at least 15 different things I want to try and am excited about every one of them.
Thank you to NetGalley and Adams Media for providing an advance copy of this ebook, I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
After a helpful tips introduction, THE “I LOVE MY AIR FRYER” COOKING FOR ONE RECIPE BOOK, gets right into 175 recipes all for slow cooking single serving sizes for one person. That’s what appealed to me about this book. I have two in my household, and other recipes are just too much for the both of us. Sure, we eat leftovers, and freeze for later, but sometimes we just want those one-time meals. “I LOVE MY AIR FRYER” has a variety of choices that are perfect for us, though I wish they had a few more every day comfort food dishes.
Some of the recipes included are . . . Breakfast Crunch Wrap, Loaded Breakfast Casserole, Pizza Snack Rolls with Garlic Parmesan Butter, Chicken Philly Taquitos, Cabbage Steaks, Crispy Steak House Potato Wedges, “Baked” Sweet Potatoes, Chicken Ranch Club Flatbread, Apple and Sage Turkey Breast, Sweet and Spicy Chicken Legs, The Perfect Rib Eye, Stuffed Pork Chop, Hot Italian Sub Sandwich, Scallops with Lemony Garlic Butter, Crunchy Italian Tilapia, Tuna Melt Wrap, Shrimp Toast, Egg and Cheese White Pizza, Zucchini Lasagna Roll Ups, Italian Stuffed Peppers, Fried Sandwich Cookies, Blueberry Cobbler, Chocolate Melting Cake, and tons more.
I’m afraid this book does touch on one of my pet peeves. Not enough photos! The photos that are included are beautiful and full colored, but scarce. I’m not sure whose final decision this is, and I’m sure it’s about keeping costs down, but it is disappointing.
Over all, I did enjoy the book. Author Heather Johnson includes many recipes I never would have thought of making in an air fryer. I think she hits upon recipes that will have something for everyone.
I own every single book in this series and use them religiously. This one did not disappoint as it was full of tasty, easy-to-do recipes that will delight your tastebuds and not add to your waistline due to the lack of oil and fats in the recipes.
Please pick up the series and read them all and start cooking!!!
It is highly recommended and it is very easy to turn these into more than one person/serving etc. with the application of a little math.
Nice book, some very creative recipes. Some things I’d never have thought to make in an air fryer.
A few pictures and the food looked very good.
Perfect for small air fryers and single people. The title of this book grabbed my attention immediately as I have a tiny air fryer that I love and never find recipes for one. There are a nice variety of recipes in this book and a good range from simple, like marinated chicken breasts to a little more involved, like chicken cordon bleu. And a meatloaf that is ready in fifteen minutes.
Some recipes for sandwiches or handhelds sound great, like pulled pork empanada, Philly cheesesteak wrap, and cheeseburger onion rings. The Bang Bang shrimp and Cilantro-lime breaded shrimp sound delicious too, Will be trying those soon. Also some great salmon recipes--a Salmon oscar topped with crab and a bearnaise sauce you make from mayo and a few simple ingredients. And a sweet and spicy glazed salmon that sounds easy and delicious.
Am also intrigued by the homemade fish sticks using fresh cod, which we have plenty of where I live. Lots of veggie dishes too, like Teriyaki Tofu and Broccoli stir-fry, and stuffed butternut squash (filled with quinoa, cranberries, kale and chickpeas).
There are also desserts that sound intriguing, like peanut butter cookies, banana bread, and a lemon blueberry cheater pie. I'm looking forward to trying many of these recipes!
