I love my air fryer and am always looking for good recipes for it. With this cookbook the recipes are written for a single person which is great! There are not many cookbooks I have seen out there for a single person. I do think most of these recipes could easily be doubled for a couple if needed/desired.
It starts out with useful info for those new to cooking including what supplies you need and tips for cooking. Recipes are arranged by meal type like breakfast, appetizers, etc. Some recipes I am looking forward to trying include carrot fries, avocado baked eggs, scotch eggs, pineapple upside down cake, plus more.
Many recipes also come with great photos included.
I would buy a copy of this cookbook.
**Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-arc I received.**
I really liked this one! I have an air fryer that's a toaster oven combo, so some of these recipes were a bit hard to make but overall I liked this one! And I loved that all the portions were perfect for one.
This may be my new favorite air fryer cookbook. It's filled with easy and delicious sounding recipes. My mouth started drooling in the first section on breakfast recipes...which I will start trying tomorrow morning...and continued with side dishes and desserts particularly.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read "The 'I Love My Air Fryer' Cooking for One Recipe Book." I do not have an air fryer, but have always been interested due to their popularity. In the beginning I believed this to be another fad, but the interest continues. I do not agree with the concept that air frying your food is healthier you are still using oil, but less. The introduction is great, it gives a lot of information regarding purchasing and caring for an air fryer. I also like the concept of cooking for one recipes, I know a lot of people do not enjoy leftovers and also this cooking amount limits the amount of food. There is a lot of recipes to choose from, the most exciting ones I found were Orange Chicken, Bang Bang Shrimp, Roasted Honey Pears, and Breakfast Crunchwrap! I think there could have been more pictures of recipes. Great cookbook for those people you know who are obsessed with their air fryers!
This has some really great recipes! I love how a lot of them require minimal prep and cleanup since I don't have a kitchen right now.
This is a great recipe book for those looking for air fryer recipes that don't make a large quantity! Although I have a family of two and this says cooking for one, I definitely think some recipes can be made as is or easily adjusted for two (or more even).. Definitely made note of a few to try soon!
The recipes are well organized and laid out. I found there were some with few ingredients and some with a bit more, but that's to be expected and allows for a range of choices depending on mood, skill, and what's in the pantry! I really enjoyed the simplicity of some, definitely opened my eyes to new possibilities with my air fryer and I appreciate that.
I do think this could have used a bit more pictures. Some of the recipes were more difficult to visualize and I think I'd be more prone to try them if I had an idea of what I was trying to achieve at the end.
Overall looks like a great recipe book for those wanting to explore more with their air fryer without too much hassle!
As I'm on the verge of being an empty nester, I was thrilled with the multiple recipes I want to try out.
The pictures were vibrant and the instructions were simple and easy to replicate.
So my problem is that I cook for a family of four and don't eat leftovers. Usually the food sits in my fridge a couple days until someone comes over to either eat it or throw it out. Well I finally bit the bullet and bought a super cool air fryer with fittylem settings that force smaller portions. At the risk of sounding like every other American: I love my air fryer! It is my favorite kitchen appliance now. The Crock Pot is long forgotten and tucked away in a cabinet. I have more counter space and less cleanup.
I'm ready to add variety to my menu. Even better—I was granted an advance copy of a cookbook to help with my newfound way of cooking for one! The "I Love My Air Fryer" Cooking for One Recipe Book includes 175 easy recipes to whip up a delicious homemade single-serving meal in quick cook time. Y'all...I'm eating balanced meals that take mere minutes to prep and cook with no lingering leftovers. I don't have to stand in front of the stove or preheat the oven or take a trip through the drive-thru.
Heather Johnson of TheFoodHussy.com provides recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, side dishes, appetizers and dessert! Like any good cookbook, there are pictures included that urged me to visit the grocery store and try new recipes. I will eventually cook most of the 175 meals but for purposes of this review, I made:
~Home Fries
~Grilled Pineapple
~Orange Chicken
~Roasted Asparagus
~Stuffed Mini Peppers
~Sausage and Peppers
~Grilled Cheese Roll-Ups
~Crispy Brussels Sprouts
~Artichoke Hearts with Parmesan
Cheers to no waste and good food in the new year! Happy Early Pub Day, Heather Johnson! The "I Love My Air Fryer" Cooking for One Recipe Book will be available Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Great starter air fryer cookbook = lots of easy to follow recipes and familiar ingredients.
Disappointed there weren't more photos - if I'm looking at a cookbook, I'd like to see the final product. Also there wasn't any new or unusual recipes, most can be found online already.
The concept of cooking for one was great - I enjoyed the smaller portions.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.
Thank you Netgalley and Ms. Johnson for the ARC copy of this great recipe book. I love the recipes in the book. Most of them are very easy and I love the small serving sizes. I just wish there were more pictures. I am a very visual person and I would love to see how the dishes look when cooked. Overall, I would definitely cook most of the recipes in the cook book.
This is a good book full of ideas for different dishes with different options. I wish there's more pictures since some of the dish I can't visualize personally. Most of the ingredients used are expensive, though. I really don't know if the price for all the ingredients are for "cooking for one" situation. I only got a handful of recipes that I can try by myself, but I appreciate the different ideas on using air fryer effectively. There's also a guide on how to use an air fryer and a metric conversion chart included.
I was very excited to review this cook book because I'd just bought an air fryer and live alone. I'm always looking for quick, easy meals.
The diverse selection of recipes reinforced what I'd heard about the versatility of air fryers. From breakfast to dessert, there were a lot to choose. I particularly liked the vegetarian main dish options, several of which used tofu. The recipes appear to be simple and often have just a few ingredients. I would try many of them. I also appreciated the helpful hints about using an air fryer at the beginning of the book.
This cookbook checked all the boxes for me, except one big one: lack of photos of each dish. I realize it's more expensive to produce, but often the page containing a recipe had 1/3 of the page blank. Surely a small photo could be inserted there. The appearance of a dish is a huge factor in stimulating the appetite, and without visuals, I would be less likely to purchase this cookbook. If you must limit photos, then choose wisely the recipes to photograph, i.e., ones that are more difficult to visualize from just the written recipe. If one sees a snack mix recipe or breaded shrimp recipe or kebab recipe, they can easily envision what that looks like without a photo. But, what does "Cabbage Steak" or "Shakshuka" even look like?
Also, even though I'm cooking for one, it's often efficient to make several servings and freeze the extras. It would have been nice to have a note included with the recipe about storage options.
So, this book has great potential as a useful tool for single people with air fryers. But, I'd be hesitant to purchase it with so few photos. Thank you NetGalley and Adams Media for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
My criteria for a cookbook that is worth getting is lots and lots of recipes that I want to bookmark and try ASAP. This one certainly has lots of interesting looking everyday kind of recipe that is just right for the person who only needs to cook for one or even two.
Even though I am on a low carb therapeutic diet, I spotted some that would fit my needs and even some I could tweak a bit to suit.
I liked that the majority of the ingredients are easy to get, and the instructions simple and easy to follow.
One minus point might be the lack of photos for every dish, but then again if you use this book often enough, you will not need the pics and will just zoom into the recipe.
5 stars for me. But I will need a low carb air frying cookbook for one now!
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of "The 'I love My Air Fryer' Cooking for One Recipe book.
I bought an air fryer a few years ago and though I love using it, I don't use it as often as I should, mostly because I don't want to cook large servings of any one dish.
This cookbook offers a wide range of diverse recipes sure to satisfy any appetite.
The recipes are easy to follow and in the end you'll end up with only a serving or two of the dish. This allows you to finish what you make and move on to the next recipe or make many different recipes to see what you really like.
My only caveat is there aren't many photographs and I do eat with my eyes, as most people do.
Other than that, this is a must in anyone's cookbook collection.
Anyone who is living alone or just two persons will want to immediately pick up The "I Love My Air Fryer" Cooking for One Recipe Book: 175 Easy and Delicious Single-Serving Recipes, from Chicken Parmesan to Pineapple Upside-Down Cake and More . After perusing this cookbook, I discovered dozens of quick, easy recipes that can be made in the air fryer. Air fryers have become a “must have” appliance, and almost everyone owns one. This excellent cookbook Having includes dozens of mouthwatering recipes that are perfect for one. After preparing some, I found that the recipes are for fairly large servings, so there is enough in many to serve two. Having a picky eater for a husband, this is perfect for when I want something good without the problem of too many leftovers.
The recipes are written in the traditional manner, and are easy to follow for everyone – from beginners to advanced, and the recipes turn out perfectly. The versatility of the recipes is what makes this cookbook so good. There are recipes with flavors borrowed from many countries. The book includes breakfasts, appetizers, snacks, mains made with poultry, beef and pork, and seafood, as well as delicious desserts. Most are quite easy and quick to put together, and most call for standard ingredients that most have in the fridge, freezer, and on the pantry shelf.
The only thing this cookbook is lacking is photographs. There are only a few, and the recipes sound so good, that it would be nice to know what the finished dishes should look like. The photographs that are included, however, are excellent, which is helpful.
All told, this is perfect for anyone who wants to put quick meals together for one using their air fryer.
Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.
