Private investigator Lucky Kendall continues her determination to bring justice to those that are not able to do it themself. Justice to children is all she can think about.
Will she have to pay for what she does?
Can she keep being this person that not only judges but takes it a step further?
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Book two in the series was really good! I totally enjoy Stacy Green’s writing style. Lots of tension and twists. Characters are great, so easy to become a part of this story.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book
I need a massage after reading this book. My muscles have been tensed up just waiting for the other shoe to drop! Wow! Private Investigator, and closet vigilante, Lucy Kendall is trying to break up a sex trafficking ring. She goes undercover into the dark world of predators of children with the sole purpose of saving the children. She runs into a bit of trouble when a strand of her hair is found at the scene of a homicide of a woman. A woman who was her boss and involved deep into the depravity of using children for greed. Lucy is a woman on a soul sucking mission to rid the world of filth. She is trying to atone for her self-imposed guilt of not being able to save her sister. She was not responsible for her sister's death, but she has convinced herself that she could have saved her. She also worked in Child Protective Services and in working there she saw how the system failed children daily. She is on a self-destructive pathway, but she cannot seem to help herself. Lucy's character is built a little more in this installment. I saw more of her vulnerabilities in this book. Underneath that armor that she wears so proudly is a woman who is grieving. I am looking forward to seeing her relationship with Chris blossom further. It is quite obvious that Chris will do anything for Lucy. He is a very mysterious character as well. Detective Todd Beckett has his suspicions about what Lucy is doing, but he cannot prove it, and I think deep down he does not care (although he would not admit it) that she is ridding the city of the scum of the earth. Justin Beckett is blossoming in this book as well. Out of all of the characters in this series, I wanted to cry most for him. This poor kid has been through things a young man should never have to go through. A couple of twists had me reeling near the end of the book. I am looking forward to reading the next book as she continues her search for Mother Mary. I highly recommend that you read these books in order so you will fully understand the characters' past and present lives.
Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you to Bookoutre and NetGalley for the opportunity of reading and leaving my honest review.
The story begins on a cold and snowy night with Private Investigator Luy Kendall on the trial to save a lost boy!! Lucy goes down into a blackhole to save more little lost souls and to track down the perpertrator!! This is a story full of plot twists and leads to an ending that I did not see coming!! Definitely will recommend to my book friends!!
This is the second book of the Lucy Kendal series.
Teenagers are being snatched from the streets and when Lucy saved one teenager, she vowed to bring the ring down. But when one of the main witnesses was murdered and Lucy is the main suspect she must try to save herself by finding the person who actually killed the witness.
This was a fast paced unputdownable thriller and I felt like I was watching an interesting thriller movie while reading this. The author manage to grip the reader to the story making the reader feel like they are also part of the story.overall I enjoyed it and worth four stars.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for ARC the review is based on my honest opinion only.
Lucy is a vigilante killer, ridding the world of pedophiles.
I am on the fence whether I like Lucy or not. In this second book, I almost feel like I don’t like her or her choices.
Really enjoying the characters of Chris and Todd.
Stacy sure knows how to write a book that keeps me hooked.
I received this from Netgalley and this is my honest review.
I enjoyed this second one better than the first one. It was more interesting and more intense. Probably because I was used the characters. The story rolled along quickly and I really didn’t know how it was going to turn out in the end. Looking forward to reading the next one in this series. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
Book #2 in the Lucy Kendall series, picking up were book #1 left off Lucy is trying to find those behind a child trafficking ring - she’s not afraid to kill when she needs too to get the answers and save the kids. Quick read.. looking forward to book 3 and seeing if Lucy can finally catch Mother Mary.
This series is just insanity when it comes to all the twists and turns that it chooses to throw at the readers. Again, Stacy Green writes a book I want to devour and find out what happens to Lucy, as well as all the bad people she finds throughout her investigations,
This story deals again with child abuse and murder when Lucy Kendall starts to hunt down an underground sex trafficking ring starting with the news of a little boy being sold. She is willing to kill these people to protect children, but is she any better than those she kills?
In this story, Lucy is struggling with her own inner demons while she tries to personally hunt down all people who are willing to hurt children for their own personal gain. This story creates a perfect character study into someone who is doing what most people would say they would want to but also showing that it is affecting her own mental health. Especially when she starts catching herself wanting to hurt someone for little-to-no reason at all.
I recommend this series and Stacy Green's other series if you like morally grey characters and crime thrillers.
A really enjoyable read, if it is allowed to say so about such a horrible subject like trafficking children. I have grown to like the hero/anti-hero Lucy, a former social worker who turned PI and murderer. she is on a mission, and nothing will stop her! This book takes off where the last book ended, and the reader gets to know the characters better, as well as the seedy side of Philadelphia.
I like quirky characters, and this book is most definitely filled with the quirkiest people, and even though the subject is one of the most disgusting ones ever, it still has a warmth, as well as a sense of humour I admire, because of the dedication the people have towards things that are black and white according to law, but very gray in real life.
Enjoyable read, and I can't wait to see where this series will take us!
I received this ebook from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion and review. While I liked this book, I don’t think it holds a candle to the first book in the series. I feel like in this novel Lucy goes way too far off the rails for my taste.
This is absolutely going to be my new favourite series for sure!!
There just isn’t enough stars to give!!!
So in summary - last book we met Lucy Kendall, vigilante private I, focused on “taking out the trash” that normal legal systems can’t manage! This book starts up just after the last one ends, and it is an absolute blinder! This time Lucy is on the trail of a trafficking ring! With the help of her new “friend” Chris (who I believe I already have a huge crush on) she gets herself into some dangerous waters while trying to expose the main players!
I read it so quickly I almost forgot to review it - and started on the next one!!! I am hoping that Stacy Green reads this and writes another 4 by the end of the week!! (In between writing new Nikki Hunt ones of course!!)
If you haven’t requested this series - do it now!!!! Outstanding!!!
After helping to find a young girl and accidentally finding out details of a child sex trafficking ring, Lucy Kendall is on the hunt for her next round of revenge. This time though things are getting bigger than even she can handle with being suspect number one for the murder of a woman she was spying on. This time though, Lucy isn’t responsible so with the help of her friend Chris and Police officer Todd Beckett, she is out to find the real killer. Can she find out who the ring leader is before she is charged for murder?
As with the first book there are some topics that may be triggering for some readers.
This book, like the first one has quite a dark theme following Lucy as she tries to uncover a child sex trafficking ring in Philadelphia. It isn’t really graphic and it all fits in with what Lucy does to try and help children in a vulnerable position and save them from awful abuse.
The book had me drawn in from the get go and kept me reeled in throughout. I really like how determined Lucy is in her crusade to save the children. I’m moving straight onto the next book.
Highly recommend this dark twisty thriller.
Little Lost Souls is book 2 in the Lucy Kendall PI crime thriller mystery series by Stacy Green.
This new series has me so hooked it's unreal.
Stacy Green has created another phenomenal story with her amazing female leading character Lucy Kendall.
I loved book one and the second one was no different.
This book was fast paced with superb twists and turns that will have you hooked from the beginning till the end.
Very well written with fantastic descriptions this book had the perfect settings and a great storyline!
Another exciting story and I can't wait to dive into the third one.
"I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Following on straight away from the first novel Lucy finds herself once again working against the most depraved. This time working undercover to dismantle a child trafficking ring. But when her boss is found dead she is immediately under suspicion. She resorts to her unorthodox methods to resolving cases but at what risk to her own safety?
Although this could be read as a standalone it is best to start with The Girl in the Pink Shoes as it welcomes you to all the characters and gives the back story that runs through this novel too.
Again a great read
Enjoyed this as much as I did the first in the series.
Looking forward to jumping into number three
As good as the first book, I was hooked! I'm loving this series. It's full of twists. The characters are fantastic. It kept me on the edge of my seat. The ending blindsided me. Excellent read. I'm off to start the third one.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.
Private investigator Lucy Kendall finds herself in the thick of a child trafficking ring after she finds a boy alive with a trucker. Lucy and Kelly use their investigative skills to find a key witness and Lucy quickly inserts herself into her world. When the witness is found dead, all evidence points to Lucy as the murderer.
With the help of detective Todd Beckett and her friend Chris Hale, can Lucy get to the bottom of things without any risk to her own well being?
Loved this book. Even though the themes are dark and Lucy herself is essentially a messed up murderer, you can’t help but like her. Her relationships with both Chris and Todd make her human and I loved how the author is beginning to explore these
5 stars and straight on to book 3 in the series!
So I am struggling with the lead character, is she good or is she just like the people she is hunting. Anyway given that it was deliciously dark and I really enjoyed it. A real good afternoon read and it kept me captivated for ages.
I was given an advance copy by netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own.
