Lucy is ready to turn her life around and follow the rules to seek justice, but of course things never go as planned. She gets caught up in a missing girls case when her friend Chris, Mary’s son, goes missing. She was still searching for Mary, but then must shift gears to save her secrets. Chris knows all.

Can you imagine working with the FBI and the police and having to hide your past. Worried one small misjudgment would throw you into jail? This series continues to keep me thinking as I read.

I think this series gets better as it progresses. It helps that the characters flow from book to book and in some instances it is more like a long book than a continuing series.

The stakes keep increasing for Lucy as she tries to save herself, her friends, keep all her secrets and save those most in need of a hero.

Lucy Kendall is on the case when the body of a 16 year old is found. I was hooked from the first sentence and it just gets better.

I love Stacey Green and this series of hers is no exception.

Taut, fast paced with a great twist on the serial killer

Another fabulous read in the Lucy kendall series. A fantastic storyline with many twists. I look forward to reading more

The plot was never the problem for me, it was always the vigilante part and Lucy overall, but this book is far better than the first two. Mary and Chris made this book. I loved unravelling Mary’s past, and the surprises that came with it. Lucy does become more tolerable, her righteousness unravels a bit. The pacing was well done. I was fully interested from start to finish.

Well what a roller coaster this was!! - Literally gripped from the very first page. Every Emotion Luce felt I felt it too in this one!
So many lives, and by 2 people. Shocked at how long this went on for. Glad that finally Lucy can finally start something new, can not wait to get sucked into the next one!

Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own! Due to scenes of violence and mature language, I categorize this novel as R. The primary character is Private Investigator Lucy Kendall. The body of a 16-year-old girl has been found in a remote Maryland cabin. The evidence left implies that serial killer Mary Weston is behind the murder. Kendall has been after Weston for months. The bodies of three more girls are found as Weston taunts the authorities. Suddenly Chris disappears. He has been Kendall’s close friend and is Weston’s son. Now he is in the killer’s hands and his life is in danger.

Kendall is no stranger to danger and death. She has stalked and dispatched child molesters that have evaded the justice system. Law enforcement suspects her, but so far no officers have attempted to prove her connection with murder victims. With Chris’s kidnapping, she must subject herself not only to the scrutiny of local police but to the FBI as well.

While the search for Chris continues, much of his and Weston’s background comes to light. Kendall is contacted by Weston. She is to meet alone with Weston. There seems no other hope for recovering Chris. Will Kendall be able to free Chris? Will she survive the confrontation with Weston?

I enjoyed the 7.5+ hours I spent reading this 296-page mystery. This is the third novel by Stacy Green that I have read. The others were The Girl in the Pink Shoes and Little Lost Souls. Those are the first two novels in the Lucy Kendall series. All three have been good mysteries. I like the chosen cover art. I give this novel a rating of 4.4 (rounded to 4) out of 5.

Number 3 in the series. Once again Stacy had me flipping those pages. You can read these as a standalone but I felt that in this one I really got to know the characters alot more.

Lucy becomes obsessed with chasing down an elusive killer - convinced it is Mary, her friend's mother. But could she be missing important evidence?
Quick and fast read though Lucy's focus on one character could be irritating.

Following directly on from the last in the series this is definitely my favourite so far. Lucy is tortured by her thoughts and feels she’s no better than those she hunts but when Chris is captured she must once again face up to her demons. A brilliant read.

Loved this book , like the other 2 in this series, such a great story and a brilliant psychological thriller with lots of mystery and still the story following on from the previous books , can’t now wait to read number 4 . A great collection of books which I would recommend,

Stacy Green has once again delivered an exceptional book that I thoroughly enjoyed. Her ability to weave intricate details together to create a compelling and complex plot is impressive. The story left me feeling silly for not predicting the outcome. Although this book was slower paced compared to the first two in the Lucy Kendall series, the added suspense made up for it, and I found myself completely absorbed in the story. Needless to say, I am already downloading the fourth book! I must also mention that Kelly is a fantastic character, and I have a lot of admiration for her.

Chris gets tired of waiting and makes contact and arranges to meet with his mother. He leaves a voicemail message on lucys's phone and a shot rings out........... lucy must find chris is he dead? Is he being tortured by his manipulative mother, who abused his half brother justin aswell. A body is found in a cabin in the woods is it chris? Lucy travels with the detective to help with the search. Lucy is made aware of secrets chris has been hiding but what are they. Gripping to the end highley recommend

This book was fantastic. I really love Lucy Kendall. She is such a great character, very relatable and written in a way where you understand her POV,

There is a lot of unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when you think you figured it all out, something else happens.

What I really love about this series is the natural development of the relationships between the characters. It never feels forced or rushed.

I highly recommend reading this book and I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

This is the third installment in this series about a serial killer . In this book we learn sone more of the reasons why she does what she does.
Sone of the points in this book are s little disturbing but it comes with the subject.
It was a very informative, good book.

I love Stacey Green's Nikki Hunt series so was very excited to read the Lucy Kendall thrillers , all 4 were released together and it probably took me less than a week to read all 4 .
Lucy is not our typical heroine , she operates from a deep dark past and feels obliged to meet out vigilante justice to those she believes deserve it , this doesn't always keep her on the right side of the law , but she has a good support system that just about keep her grounded . Fascinating routing for an anti hero , well written , well paced and I really hope there are more .............. This has a film/TV adaption written all over it

Not as gripping as book 1 and 2, but I still enjoyed learning more about the back story of the characters.
