I love Jane Corry's books and really enjoyed this one with a dual timeline of the present story and the past. Nancy is fleeing a scandal and holes up at the home she inherited from her grandmother. While she is there she learns of two children who lived there during the war and begins to investigate. Both stories had me hooked and I loved the characters and the way wartime life and emotions was brought to life.
Another five stars for Jane Corry from me.

What a stunning book beautifully written by a talented author!
Coming To Find You is set in a beautiful coastal regency house set in seaside village in Devon (hence the beautiful cover). The setting is very picturesque and sets the scene beautifully.
There is a dual timeline in the book, one for Nancy who is hiding away from a family tragedy, the other set in 1941, Nancy's grandmother Elizabeth who took in some evacuees from London to keep them safe from the bombings. That storyline was fabulous and I wished my mother in law who was a young child evacuated from London herself was still alive so that I could buy her the hardcopy of the book. Gripping storylines, both of them and a wonderful escape murder mystery to experience.
Could not recommend this book strongly enough...

The duel narrative of this story, whilst slow at times mainly kept me hooked each time it switched. Although it took me longer to get into Elizabeth's side of the story then it did Nancy's. I ended up throughly enjoying both sides of this story and the links and the mirroring.

A solid 4 stars that makes me want to delve into Jane Corry's back list.

I enjoyed this dual timeline novel set in the coastal town of Sidmouth in Devon. A beautiful house, Tall Chimneys, links the two timelines: present day and the early 1940s. Nancy, escaping from a family tragedy that is in all the newspapers, runs back to the house but finds her problems follow her. Meanwhile, we are introduced to Elizabeth in wartime whose son is missing. There is so much intrigue in this wartime timeline and I found it really engaging. The narrative moves cleverly between the two timelines and held my interest throughout. I liked the descriptions of Sidmouth and felt that I was there. There’s plenty going on in the novel and the ending is exciting and satisfying.

Amazing!!!! I loved it! It was like 2 stories in one book! I couldn’t put it down! Perfect ending and all wrapped up neatly! Fantastic book look forward to more from this author!

An excellent book that spans 2/3 generations beautifully. Sidmouth came to life in this book. People's perceptions of time and events take a new twist in this book. Really enjoyed. Thank you for giving me the chance to pre-read this. Now awaiting the next one from jane.

Well written, and good characters. I like this author. I just found this a slow mover. Still, the dual time line was great and the setting beautiful.

Nancy seeks refuge in her family seaside home from the press and public following the murder of her mum and step-father. As each day goes by memories flash before her as the difficulties of each day progress.

The seaside home was inherited through her mother's side of the family given to her grandmother by a friend from the war era. The house has its own characteristics which have never been what they always seem.

Both stories intertwine beautifully with one and other in such a way that makes the story irresistible. I sat and read the book in one sitting because I just could not put the book down.

@janecorry is an autobuy author for me and I was super excited to read her latest novel, Coming To Find You. As someone who loves, and lives by, the sea I absolutely love that Corry writes stories taking place by the sea.

Coming To Find You starts the night of a murder. Nancy runs away to her late grandmother's home by the sea to escape the tragedy. There are so many secrets to unravel.

I loved everything about this book. It was fast paced and I struggled to put it down. There were dual timelines and more than one POV. I loved Nancy and really wanted the best for her. I also loved Elizabeth and Adeline and was really invested in their story taking place during the Second World War.

I would 100% recommend this book to everyone and have already told my mum I'm buying her the paperback when it comes out!

I enjoyed this book particularly the 1941 storyline.

A heart warming novel, best described as a dual time line historical /present day following the occupants of a large house by the coast in Devon. Both storylines really pull the reader in, with a touch of mystery in both stories which comes together very satisfactorily at the end. A perfect beach read for the summer. If I remember rightly, it was the cover design and description that first made me feel drawn to this book.

I liked this. Initially, I was expecting a straightforward thriller. It seemed to me that the protagonist was trying to escape something and I wanted to know what had happened to her, and what she was running away from.

There were two storylines - one set in the present day, and one set in the 1940s. This piqued my interest further, and I was interested to see how the two storylines were connected. In a sense, it felt like a modern thriller combined with a wartime saga, which seemed like an interesting combination.

The people who lived there spanned three generations and a secret they shared.

Jane Corry is a talented writer and this book didn’t disappoint. The plot was intricate and I really enjoyed the dual timeline and narrative, which was well executed and kept pulling me in.

The atmosphere was taut and chilling, with a great sense of impending doom in the modern day viewpoint.

The setting was also vivid and despite the creepiness of Nancy’s step-brother’s obsession and the secret in her past, I enjoyed spending time in Devon at the regency house.

I’m looking forward to Jane’s next psych thriller.

The story flicks between Nancy in the present day and her great Grandmother, her Grandmother's friend and the house Nancy is now calling home.
I did enjoy this book, and I would recommend.

One of my all time favourite authors and I usually race through her books at the fastest pace known to man.
This was not one of those books and was different to her usual style but I loved it just as much if not more.

I loved the flicking back in time and seeing two stories unfold in different years and how they unravelled and were linked.

I actually really enjoyed getting to know the characters more and reading in a slower pace. It made me appreciate it more and I took in all the details every step along the way.

Loved the ending - always a good ending from Jane !

I really really enjoyed this and whilst it was surprising from her other books it was definitely a pleasant one.

I have read a few of Jane Corry’s books and have enjoyed them, so I was delighted to receive a copy of her latest novel, Coming To Find You, out in June. Thanks to Penguin UK and NetGalley for my copy.

The story is set across two timelines, the present day, and during WW2. The link between the timelines is Tall Chimneys, a beautiful, white, house in Devon.

Nancy is living in London but the press are having a field day after the trial of her stepbrother, Martin, for the murder of Nancy’s mother and stepfather. She flees to Tall Chimneys, a holiday home left to her by her mother, in an attempt to escape the press. Nancy is struggling with guilt and the fact she hasn’t told the whole truth. She feels uneasy at Tall Chimneys, did something happen there?

I thought the characters in this book were excellent and so well drawn. I particularly liked the characters in the WW2 parts of the book, you can’t help but warm to Elizabeth and the mischievous evacuees she takes in. Surprisingly, I didn’t like Nancy’s character that much but this didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story. Martin is certainly a very creepy character but I wonder if this could have been explored a little more.

The dual timeline aspect of the book works very well and it’s easy to follow what’s going on. It’s clear the author has done a lot of research about war time life.

Some parts of the plot were a little predictable, but the story is still good and well thought through. There are links between characters past and present and Tall Chimneys binds them together.
The setting of the book is well described and I could just see the characters on the beach or running to the air raid shelter.

The book explores various themes and the main one for me was relationships between both family and friends. Nancy has a difficult childhood which goes on to affect her relationships in life.

The cover of this book is nice and fits very well with the story.

I would definitely recommend this book and I very much enjoyed it. I found myself wanting to pick it up to squeeze in a few more chapters when I could.

Another exciting story from Jane but unfortunately not her best or most gripping . A history of a house called Tall Chimneys set in 2 periods covering the second world war when her forebears took in children from the cities. and also were part of a secret army in case of invasion ,and the present day when Nancy returns to the house to hide after her brother has been convicted of the murder of her mother and stepfather.but she is found by the press who are chasing up on the story. of the murder. The stepbrother also seems to have a hold over her and contacts her to threaten her about the murder.

Partly set during WW 11 and partly in the present day on the South coast of England this book grabbed me early on and kept me hooked throughout. Thoroughly enjoyable read and worthy of five stars. No hesitation in recommending
