I absolutely adore thriller novels. The author did an amazing job of really getting the audience a clear picture of the settings. I almost felt like I could see what the characters were seeing. Truly enjoyed the way the book was written. Definitely a page turner!

I loved this book!!! This was my type of thriller- binge worthy, not full of fluff, and several twists (some of which I did NOT see coming)! Writing style made this one so easy to read and now I can’t wait to check out Hursts’ backlist!

A Daniel Hurst book never disappoints . You think you know what is going to happen but then it is different. Can't say more as don't want to spoil the drama and suspense.

This was a great afternoon read and I got totally involved in the story.
I was given an advance copy by net galley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own.

The setting of this book caught my attention immediately...England/Scotland...standing in one country...seeing the other...of course, the body on the sand was important too. This talented and gifted author has written a book that is difficult to put down. This book was sent to me electronically for review by Netgalley. Thanks to the publisher, one of my favorites, and the author. The story unwinds to a conclusion that is somewhat surprising. Don't forget the characters who come alive on the pages.

Another fantastic psychological thriller from Daniel Hurst.

Drew Devlin thinks he’s the smartest man alive. So when he moves his wife away from the city to a small village town - following his mistress who ended their affair six months ago - he thinks they’ll start their affair again and live happily ever after. After all, his wife isn’t very smart and has no idea what he’s been up to.

When Drew’s body is found at the beach a few months later everyone is stunned. Who killed this doctor? Police think they have it figured out and someone is convicted of murder. But do they have the right person? Maybe the doctors wife isn’t as stupid as he thought she was.

Sharp and witty, “The Doctors Wife” is another page turner that’ll have you glued to the pages.

Daniel Hurst has done it again with The Doctor's Wife. I wasn't sure if my already high expectations could be exceeded, but once again he has hit it out of the park with, possibly, his best yet.

Fern is reluctant to leave her life in Manchester, but decides that she must as her husband Drew, a doctor, seems insistent that they embrace village life and, with it, a whole new beginning. But unknown to her husband, Fern knows a secret that Drew believes he has kept from her, and it is one lie too many. Fern will go along with the good doctor's plan, and what follows will have them questioning every action that they have ever taken to get to this quiet and unassuming new life.

Daniel Hurst is an automatic read for me and a very firm favourite. This latest had my head spinning from beginning to end with its brilliant twists and turns.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.

Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for an arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is my first book by Daniel Hurst and it was quite the thriller! It is definitely a slow burn and filled a couple of twists. Personally, I struggled as a reader to get fully into the story. The longer chapters made the burn feel slower for me. However, towards the end, it picked up in pace and the epilogue solidified the thrilling part to this book.

I would recommend this for: new to the thriller genre, family drama, slow burn

Drew and Fern move from Manchester to Aberness, a village near Scotland. Drew is a doctor and would like to spend more time with Fern, or so he tells her, and feels the small country life will help that happen. Fern agrees to move, but she is wise to his deceiving ways. See, the good doctor has been having a six month affair with a married woman named Alice. Alice now lives in Aberness with her husband Rory. Will Fern get her revenge?

I LOVED THE DOCTOR'S WIFE. You will find yourself lost in the pages of these despicable characters. I can't say I liked any of them, but I will say that Fern was a clever one. I had ideas of where this was headed and I would say I was somewhat correct, but was fooled in the end. Filled with many twists and turns, you will not be able to put this one down. I am excited as I will begin to make my way through Daniel Hurst's previous novels.

So many secrets!
So many lies!
Each character thinking the other is unaware of the truth….what will the outcome be?
I didn’t realize one of the main characters, Fern, was such a devious and crazy lady!
I certainly had no idea where this story was going or what was going to happen next.
Get ready to go on a rollover coaster ride of craziness with reading The Doctor’s Wife!
Many thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author, Daniel Hurst, for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

What a fantastic thriller. I haven’t read any of Daniel Hurst books before so wasn’t sure what to expect but it was fantastic. Will definitely be reading more from this author.

Fern has just relocated to a the quite countryside. Which was her GP husband idea but he has other reasons to move there and not just the quite pace that he puts forward to Fern for moving to the countryside. It is told from Ferns perspective and her husbands which keeps you on edge to see how it is all going to turn out.

Excellent thriller will definitely be recommending it to all.
