This is the first book I’ve read from the author Eva Mackenzie and I want to thank NetGalley and Eva for allowing me to read an advanced readers copy and leaving a review . This book took place mostly in cedar falls Virginia. It was an overall great read except for all of the characters in the story . It was quite hard trying to keep them organized while I was reading . I can’t wait to read the next one . Gwen was the main character who had a long time feud going on with her neighbor and she met a man who ends up in the hospital where she works . Does the past have a killer obsession? And how can Gwen protect herself from the enemy?

Who is the stalker? That’s the question at the center of Last Known Location, a compelling, impossible to put down thriller. Gwen’s ex Adam lives next door and is also an ambulance driver for the hospital where she works. She can’t avoid him and his unwanted attention and pranks have driven her to angrily respond. She’s taking a break from the drama, hikng on a nearby section of the Appalachian Trail when she meets Noah, a handsome stranger. There’s an immediate attraction but he leaves early the next morning and Gwen doesn’t expect to see him again. She does when he is brought, unconscious with a head wound, to her hospital. As he slowly recovers, although with no memory of what happened, the small attacks on her property that she attributes to Adam escalate. Soon it is discovered that Noah has a troublesome background. A private investigator has been following him and a mystery woman is also looking for him. You’ll be wondering: Who is the stalker?

Last Known Location pulls you in from the first page. You’ll think you have it figured out but you don’t. And oh, that ending! 5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Craven Ink Press and Eva Mackenzie for this ARC.

This was a decent crime/mystery novel which kept my interest all the way through, which is not always the case.

I know the past/present scenario is used a lot in this genre, but I found it worked particularly well here and it was tweaked enough to make it just that bit more complex.

Many of the characters had some degree of mystery to them which kept me guessing and added to the intrigue and enabled the author to bring about a number of clever twists towards the end.

Overall a satisfying and entertaining read which I really enjoyed.

thank you to netgalley for allowing me to read this before its official release in exchange for an honest review.
while i definitely enjoyed this book (and would love to check out more of this authors work), i do wish it was a little more detailed and gave us more of a backstory for some of the characters, ESPECIALLY since there were multiple pov's. i wanna know exactly what motivated them and why!
however, the writing was good overall and i definitely felt unsettled reading it the whole time! i wasnt sure who to trust and who to root for!
4/5 stars!

A story about a strained ex couple who keep antagonizing each other until a strange man with no memory appears in their shared hospital workplace.

This book was so good! I devoured it, it was such a quick read. The author was able to take a mystery thriller and add romance and lust into it which I LOVED!

This book follows three different characters who all end up crossing paths with each other to pull the whole book together. We follow an ER nurse who had a terrible break up about 6 months before the book started and you see her try to get past it and all of the issues she faces due to being in a toxic relationship.

We also hear from the police officer who is on the case that the whole book surrounds. He’s friends with the nurse but doesn’t know how he feels about her choices she makes. He’s a family man and you learn a bit about his life as well.

And then you have the PI who you see track down someone a client wanted to be found. She ends up putting herself in harms way and you learn more about her past as well.

Normally I hate when there are multiple POVs but I followed a long well with this book. I was a fan of the main female character, I liked the romance aspect of it as well and I loved the writing style of the book.

I would definitely recommend this book to someone who loves mystery thrillers but also likes to dabble in romance like I do. It wasn’t smutty it was simple and sweet. Definitely look at the trigger warnings. This book focuses on stalking, hunting, obsession, deceit, and toxic relationships.

The ending was CRAZY! I did not see it coming at all. It will definitely keep you on your toes.

This book was a well written and I love forward to reading more by this author for sure!!

Literally this was madness. Our girl is having a bad breakup with her neighbor and she's up to something. He is up to some stuff too.
She goes on a three day Appalachian hike and meets the hottest guy and he gives her a sandwich. I also fall for men who provide food.
Days later he ends up in the hospital and he has no idea who he is. She makes her move. Get it girl!
A lot of madness happens.
It was so insane. I loved it.

A quick, enjoyable read. Light on suspense and thriller but heavy on mystery.

Stalking was the premise of this book and it's not one I've read a lot about so that kept me interested.

I found Gwen to be...naive. I wanted to like her but she kept making all these stupid mistakes and excuses for why she wouldn't report things when it came to Adam. And then being so taken with Noah when she didn't know a lick about him.

Then I kept reading. And oof, that twist. That end. I didn't see *that* coming. I saw the the one before that. And I think you're meant to. Bravo to the author for that last one though. I was thrown off because of everything else packed into this.

I received this ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op.
This was my first time reading this author and I absolutely love her writing style.
The characters were well developed and the story, while told before, had a fresh new take. It would be interesting to have more from Adam’s perspective!
Thank you @netgalley for this advanced copy in exchange for my review.

A storyline that I haven’t read a ton of in other books is the main concept of this one: stalking. I was excited to read something that was going to be a different read for me, but this didn’t quite grip me the way I wanted it to. The story was decent, and the characters were reasonable intriguing. But there was something missing; the element of suspense. It was fairly predictable and there weren’t any moments that had me on my toes. Overall, it was an okay book but not one I’d tell you to rush to read.
