I love Peloton and being the moderator for the Peloton Moms Book Club. I was lucky enough to receive Emma Lovewell's book Live Learn Love Well via an ebook ARC when at home and her audiobook which I listened to when in the car. I really enjoyed learning more about Emma and her journey to date. The audiobook narration was very soothing as well. Plenty of relatable and motivational content without coming across as preachy. Now I want to go take an Emma ride or a dance cardio class! See you on the leaderboard friends!
Special thanks to netgalley, the publisher and @prhaudio for the ARC and ALC of Live Learn Love Well. All opinions are my own.
I adore Emma and love her Peloton rides. She is just very real and upfront about her life and her health journey and I enjoyed reading it about it here. It has also helped me to know that every health journey is different, but we can all find joy within the journey. I like how she talks about what she has learned over the years and how her health avenues have changed over her life.
Thanks NetGalley for this copy to read and review.
Thank you NetGalley for an early glimpse of Emma Lovewell’s memoir.
It was what I hoped to be and more. Emma is a motivator and I understand why and how she is so successful as one!
Really enjoyed her sections on meditation and gardening.
As I write this review, I will admit- I am a member of the Peloton family; so I will have a bias. Emma is not one of my 'go to' instructors, but I always appreciate the lessons and wisdom she shares on her rides. I identified with her relationship with her month and not being able to speak up for herself. Her advice is not approachable and easy to incorporate into your life. As graduation season approaches, this is a great read for a the new graduate in your life. I can't wait to see this book in print!
***Thank you NetGalley and Ballantine Books for providing me access to this preview. This review is based on an ARC. ***
I'm not going to pretend that my review isn't biased by the literal hours I've spent on the bike and crushing my core with Emma (iykyk). Her book is as on point as her playlists. It was so fun to read the life lessons she's gleaned through her eclectic career leading up to Peloton, and it was emotional to read the tougher things she's been through on her journey as well. I love Emma's classes, but this book shows just how much more she has to teach and share than what you can glean in a 30 minute 90s ride.
I am a huge Emma Lovewell fan! Her rides are the only ones I take on Peloton. This is a wonderful book. I just wonder if it could’ve translated better as a coffee table/visual book. There was a lot of describing instead of showing and at times it felt a bit repetitive. I am not sure how the print copy is but I feel like this could work better with visuals, photography, and graphic designs.
Just a thought! Emma is the best and I love her so you’ll enjoy this if you love her classes on peloton. I can’t wait to listen to this on audiobook as I tend to read nonfiction that way. Thank you for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
