Another solid installment in this series. Connealy always delivers a great plot and characters and automatically moves to the top of my TBR.

Series: Wyoming Sunrise Book 2

Back of the Book: “Can they risk giving in to the attraction between them while their lives are on the line?
If widowed seamstress Nell Armstrong has to make one more pair of boring chaps for the cowboys in her tiny Wyoming town, she might just quit the business altogether! So meeting Brand Nolte, a widower struggling to raise three girls on his own, seems like her dream come true. Brand has no idea how to dress the girls properly, and Nell finally has a chance to create beautiful outfits while also teaching the girls to sew.
But Nell is much more than a seamstress, and the investigative skills and knowledge she picked up alongside her late lawman husband soon become critical when a wounded stagecoach-robbery survivor is brought to town. As danger closes in from all sides, Nell and Brand must discover who has a target trained on them before it's too late.”
Impressions: I was excited to learn what became of Nell and her dress shop after reading the first book of this series, Forged in Love. I was not disappointed. The mystery of the Deadeye Gang continued while Nell shined in her role of heroine of this story. While another attack was made on this Wyoming town, Nell’s past skills became needed as she aided with the mystery of who was behind these killings. Brand and his daughters were a sweet diversion to Nell at first but became much more as circumstances continued to bring them together. The plot was steady and the characters engaging. There was much to enjoy in this western Christian romance.
Quotes: “It’s not failing to not know how to do something no one’s ever taught you to do. But it might be failing to be too proud to ask for help.”
“I saw a disaster and ignored the potential.” Have you ever been in this scenario, where you see a disaster rather than the potential? I think it is easy to do and this was just the reminder I needed to be mindful of how I look at life.

I received an advanced reader’s copy from net galley, in exchange for my honest opinions.
I’ve been reading this author since this fall when a good friend put me onto them. I like the 3 book mini series, find them to be just the right amount to read in between other books. I like that there are strong female characters, a clear good guy vs. bad guy.
This one is the second one in the Wyoming Sunrise series. (I like that the 3 stories are intertwined while still being separate. The series are usually like 3 friends or 3 sisters…) This series each one has taken the traditional roles and turned them on their heads a bit. The first book the main character runs the forge/ black smith shop while her love interest opens a restaurant. This book Nell runs a dress shop (she never gets to make dresses for) and then becomes the Justice of the Peace (because of the detective skills she’s already shown). Her love interest is a rancher in over his head with 3 daughters he has no idea how to raise on his own.
This might be my favorite of her series so far. Wyoming at that time in history is ripe for advancing women’s rights. It’s far ahead of its time in relationship to other states. The little historical snippets on other woman mayors in the book made me want to go out and look up some more of Wyoming’s history. The last thing I’ve really enjoyed about this series is not only do both women have these “masculine” professions but they each are discovering a love of the finer beauty in things. The extra scroll work in spurs, the fancy bonnet to go with a new dress. It’s okay to hold both those positions in tension.
I think I might re read the Brother’s in Arms series while I wait for the 3rd book to come out this fall
The Laws of Attraction is the second book in the Wyoming Sunrise series. I loved the first one Forged in Love and this one didn't disappoint. Nell is a strong woman and Brand is a man who admires that strength and wants his daughters to grow up to be just like her. Trouble has come to town again and the citizens must band together as Nell leads them to find the truth. The perfect combination of Western and Christian Romance.
This is the second book in Mary Connealy’s newest Wyoming Sunrise series. You’ll want to have read the first one, Forged in Love, before this one, because the first book introduces most of the characters. Connealy has come up with another good series with strong women and the men who come to love them. She does have some nasty villains as well, and there’s a bit more bloodshed than I really like in this series, all due to those villains. I really enjoyed reading this book, and look forward to the third one!
"I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own." #TheLawsofAttraction #NetGalley
A most enjoyable read about strong women living in Wyoming, the first state to give women the right to vote and other "normal" rights!! The main character, Nell Armstrong, is not only an accomplished businesswoman, she is a pretty much a person of many talents. When her lawman husband died back east, she and a brother came west. The brother went on the West Coast, but Nell decided she liked the little town.
She had saleable skills and turned her dress shop into a "chaps shop" for the local cowboys. They were great and she was able to charge a premium for them and still had orders that went ahead for months!!
Through a series of actions with Brand Nolte and his daughters, she developed a fondness for the three girls and gets them involved in the business. There are several ups and downs in their relationship but the adaptability of both the adults and the three young women can make things happen.
The characters are strongly developed and the plot fun to follow. It is not a western in the normal sense but provides some insight into the Wyoming of the time and how progressive the place was. Of course not everyone thought that women could or should be doing certain things, which led to some confrontations.
Definitely suggest this as a reading for both young women and men as well as those older to see how the gender differences, while in some cases are very obvious, but the brain and capabilities are on equal footing.
I always enjoy a good Mary Connealy book. Enjoyed going back to see what happened to Nell. It was a little heavy on the equal rights for women but otherwise I really enjoyed it.
This is book #2 in Mary Connealy's Wyoming Sunrise series. In book one we met the town blacksmith who married the town restaurant's owner and chef. She was the first of the 3 friends who were single and doing things that women didn't typically do in that day and age in the West. But Wyoming had voted in letting women Vote and all three friends were happy to be part of the movement. In this one friend 2, Nell, is happy with her dress shop but she mostly ends up making leather chaps for men and has a lot of business for that but rarely actually gets to do what she really wants to do -- make dresses. Nell is the widow of a lawman and has a lot of expertise in the law so helps the local sheriff with investigations. She also has some doctoring experience and helps the local doctor. When the local Justice of the Peace resigns so he can move back to Nebraska, the local town council asks Nell to become the new JP. This causes a lot of raised eyebrows -- she's only the 2nd female to do this in the entire USA. Meanwhile she has gotten very friendly with the 3 daughters of widower Brand Nolte, who is a local homesteader with some veterinary skills.
I love that the women in this series are strong, capable females and the males are strong, capable males without being super macho with superior attitudes. But what I mostly love about this series is that Mary Connealy makes all the details so real and so interesting and all the people except the "bad guys" are friendly and down to earth and people you'd love to have as neighbors, family and friends.
I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my own honest opinion.
THE LAWS OF ATTRACTION is the second novel in the Wyoming Sunrise series by MARY CONNEALY. I really loved everything about the book, from the delightful characters, the small town setting, the determination of the townsfolk to uncover the Deadeye gang members living among them, some sweet romance and much more. I like the close friendships in this small town in Wyoming, and when a survivor of a stage coach attack is murdered, the people pull together to sniff out the traitor in their midst.
Widowed Nell Armstrong is a seamstress who longs to make pretty dresses and bonnets in a town where all that seams to be required of her is to make leather chaps for the menfolk! When she comes across widower Brandon Nolte and his three beautiful daughters, she sees that the girls are in desperate need of some pretty clothes. She has many more gifts, however, which unfold during the story….
I am not going to tell you any more for fear of spoiling things for you. I highly recommend The Laws of Attraction as a most enjoyable and exciting read, with a gentle Christian message of hope in God running through it.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Bethany House Publishers. The opinions in this review are completely my own.
This was a sweet read. Laws of Attraction is the second book in Mary Connealy’s Wyoming Sunrise series. I had mixed feelings about the first book, but I was hopeful that I would enjoy this book more. I am happy to say that this was a pretty good book.
This book follows Nell and Brand and I was excited to learn more about Nell. It was cool to learn more about Nell and see her get her own happy ending. She was an independent female, but it was sweet to read about her falling in love. Nell definitely deserved her own happy ending.
Brand was sweet. He was doing his best to care for his daughters but he was struggling to figure out how to raise growing daughters on his own. It was sweet to read about Brand connecting with Nell.
Nell and Brand were cute together. I loved seeing Brand’s daughters connecting with Nell. Nell and Brand had to come together to keep Brand’s daughters safe and protect the town. The romance was sweet and the plot was interesting.
Laws of Attraction is an engaging book and I would recommend it for those who enjoy Christian western romances.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

Bethany House is one of my favourite publishers, I adore the wholesome, uplifting books that they publish, and this one is no exception.
Nell and Brand enter each other's lives at a time when they are both in need of help, of change, and a friendship based on mutual respect is quickly formed. As their feelings deepen, they find themselves in danger from an unknown source and have to use all of their wits to discover who wants to harm them and why.
This was a nice mix of mystery and romance, clean and wholesome, with underlying values of faith and trust.
I finished it in a single sitting.
Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.
