Rogue is part 2 of Elle Kennedy's Prep Series. I would recommend reading Misfit first and then this one as there is a lot of character development in the first book and Rogue picks up right where Misfit left off with a cliffhanger. Rogue focuses on Casey who survived a horrible car accident the year before leaving prom. She has very little memory of what happened and who she was with. Someone drugged her, drove her car into a pond, pulled her out and left her to die. Since the accident Casey had found friendship with Fenn Bishop. Unfortunately Fenn has a secret about prom night that may very well destroy their relationship.

I read Misfit and was immediately hooked, especially with the massive cliffhanger at the end. I couldn't wait to get my hands on Rogue to find out what happened. Kennedy provides a lot of answers to the mystery of Casey's accident in Rogue, but has definitely left it open for a 3rd installment that I'm highly anticipating. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

You'll love this series if:
You enjoyed Gossip Girl
You like Binge-worthy Book Series
You're a sucker for Forbidden Love
You like a good Romantic Mystery

A special thank you to the author, Bloom Books and NetGalley for my arc in exchange for my honest review.

Well this was an interesting plot. Casey just survived a car accident that nearly cost her life. Everything changed after that faithful day – Casey feels lost and defeated, but she found solace in an unconventional friendship with Sandover’s frat-boy Fenn Bishop. What she did not know is that Fenn was hiding a secret of the night Casey almost die. What happen when the truth comes to light? Will Casey and Fenn’s relationship survive the secrets and lies? This stories is told in multiple POV but the main characters are Casey and Fenn. I enjoy the friendship development between the two main characters. The mystery and excitement surround the accident. You gotta be in the mood for young adult genre – drama- rama, gossips, rumors, twist and turn bullies and playboys, so not a tons of romance as a result. You also need to read Misfit first, sort of standalone but continuing story with all the characters. I enjoyed Misfit better. If you are in the mood for prep-school drama, angst, teen romances this is for you.

I enjoy Elle Kennedy books so I was excited when I got approved for this one. I have to admit that I did not read the first book in this series and was afraid that I was going to be lost but I wasn't totally lost. I am sure there were some things that I could have known from the first book that would have helped clarify things in this book, but I wasn't totally lost.

This is Casey and Finn's story. Casey is trying to figure out what happened the night that she almost died and who her real friends are that she can trust. Finn has been hiding a secret from Casey. He has all intents of telling her but he just doesn't know when would be a good time to tell her. Finn wants to get some answers himself before he tells Casey.

There are many other stories going on while Casey and Finn are the center of the book. There are revelations that take place by more than one person and all of this reminds me of drama that I am glad I am not a part of in high school anymore. I know they are in college but this type of stuff went on in my high school as well.

I thought all the characters were entertaining and kept your attention throughout the book. Elle Kennedy does a great job with that as well as keeping the multiple couples stories going too. This read will keep you going because you will want to know how things are going to end and what is next for this group.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and all opinions are my own. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book.

Rogue is the second Prep book and is more of Casey & Fenn’s story. It is important that you read the first book, Misfit, so that everything makes sense.

Casey is sick of everyone treating her differently since the accident. She’s sick of people pushing her away and struggling to try and remember what happened.

I didn’t like Casey or her actions. I understand going through something and struggling, having it change you. Her actions throughout the book though just got on my nerves. Fenn struggles with his secret even more now that he knows Rj & Sloane know.

This was a tough one to rate for me. I love all of Elle Kennedy’s books and really liked Misfit but I didn’t like this one as much. Maybe like 3.5/3.75 ⭐️
I usually devour her books but this one just didn’t hold my attention.
I also don’t mind MPV but there was so much.

I’m excited for the next book and hopefully find out more about Lawson. Hopefully the next one is a little more spicy too like the first one.

Thank you for my copy in exchange for my review.

Holy crap...this was amazing! Kept me on my feet the entire time! I thought I had this mystery figured out part way through and boy was I wrong. I would read it again just for fun! Elle Kennedy really hit this one out of the park and I would highly recommend it for reading!

rogue by elle kennedy
i had high hopes for this book considering it is written by the one and only elle kennedy however this book just was not it. Though it definitely would have been me too,. I’m not sure what is was but just getting started in this book was difficult let alone finishing this book. I have alway and i mean always enjoyed reading elle kennedy’s book same goes for the first book in this series it was good. I finished and i was really excited for the next one to come out, however when it did it just wasn’t it anymore. Don’t get me wrong on this i absolutely love Casey and Finn and just everything about their relationship i think it would have been the writing of the book, just something about the book besides the character and plot just made it seem so aggravatingly slow (to the point where i just couldn’t anymore) i will try to give this book another chances in the future because i love casey and finn as characters, maybe soon or later, more on the later. But as of now i will not be finishing this book.

Thank you NetGalley, Sourcebooks Bloom Books and Elle Kennedy for letting me read "Rogue" In exchange for an honest opinion.

Lawson definitely stole the show here. The differing POV's made this a really entertaining and fast read. I love a romance book that is full of spice and angst but can still make me laugh out loud.

Another one from the Prep Series by Elle Kennedy! This time we follow Fenn, RJ’s stepbrother, and Casey, Sloane’s sister.

We know that Casey had an accident the year prior and is trying to figure out what happened to her, all while cozying up with Fenn. But the secrets and drama do not stop coming for them.

Both Casey and Fenn show great character development through this book and within their relationship as well. Not to mention that grip that the secrets surrounding Casey’s accident hold on you! The ensemble perspectives are brought back, and we get to see more of RJ and Sloane’s relationship, which is everything.

This one again leaves us on a cliffhanger and I can not wait to see what happens next!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Firstly, I’m just so excited and loving that I get the opportunity to review multiple works by this author and all the works in this series thus far. Rogue picks up right where we left off in Misfit and this sequel does not disappoint!

Even more secrets get revealed and it leads to an explosive finale that you will be dying for. All of the characters that I’m absolutely obsessed with are back. We get to see so much growth for a few of them and I really enjoyed that journey. I loved Casey-the-badass, like yes girl stand up for yourself!

I do wish there had been more chapters for RJ (although I understand that his story is told and he takes a backseat for the new voices) because I just loved him so much from the first book. My feelings for Fenn are still so wishy-washy even at the end of this book. He had brief moments where I loved him, but many times where I hated him and he annoyed me too. I have no middle ground with him.

It’s angsty. It’s emotional. It’s everything we loved about the first book and feels like a natural continuation of events. The twists are epic and not at all what I thought I saw coming.

Side note: I’m so hoping for Lawson to get his own book next! <spoiler>OMG Lawson and Casey are to die for honestly.</spoiler>

Thank you to Bloom Books and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

This one picks up immediately after the events of MisFits, which needs to be read first to enjoy this one.

This was an exciting multi-POV continuation from MisFits. I won't say much as I don't want to give any spoilers away but I really appreciate all of the twist and turns as each of the couple find their HEA. Very intrigued to see what happens in book 3

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
This was a great sequel to Misfit! Since this book starts where Misfit left off, I suggest reading that first.

Casey was in a horrible car accident last year that almost left her dead. She is sick of everyone treating her like she’s fragile, so she’s decides to take charge of her life and starts to rebel against her strict father.

As Fenn and Casey’s friendship grew, he started to fall in love with her. After she finds out he betrayed her, she wants nothing to do with him. Determined to win her back, he seeks help from his stepbrother RJ to uncover the truth about her accident and find out who was responsible. But with her wild behavior now, he’s not sure if they are still meant to be.

Elle Kennedy writes another great book! She has such a great writing style that has me devouring her books as fast as I can. I loved the multiple povs, mystery, and touch of spice. This book kept me guessing and I was shocked at the ending! I’m looking forward to the next book in this series!
Definitely add this to your tbr list!

Unfortunately I was unable to get into this book! I love Elle Kennedy and her writing style, however, the teenagers in prep school just didn't work for me. I found the characters to be flat.

Rogue is the second book in Elle Kennedy’s Prep series and picks up right where Misfit left off so make sure you have read the first book! Rogue follows Casey and Fenn as they navigate a relationship together despite their friends’ disapproval and the secret Fenn is hiding.

Thank you Netgalley, the publisher and amazing author for my ARC!

This was a good sequel to Misfit. I enjoyed seeing the development of Casey and Fenn. I was happy to finally have an answer to what happened to Casey. I don’t love the many points of view but that was easy to overlook. Now I have so many questions about Gabe.

Thank you to NetGalley & Elle Kennedy for access to this arc copy of Rogue in exchange for an honest review.

I want to preface this by saying this is the first book I have ever not liked by Elle Kennedy. I have read many of her books, and this one was really disappointing. If you like Elle Kennedy, you expect some nice spice in her books- this one doesn't have any. I wouldn't even say the romantic connection between any of the characters carries any spice to it.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of things that I didn't like about this book. I didn't find any connections to any of the characters and I only really liked one.
Lawson was probably my favourite character, but only because I could see him being a main character in one of Elle Kennedy's spicy novels. There were too many POVs in this book- 6/7 of them. I felt like many of the chapters were filler and unnecessary to be done in a separate POV.
Casey was a typical case of a good girl gone bad and I really can't stand it- especially when they do it because of a boy. Made her come off as super childish and boring. Everyone treated her like she was glass and being super worried about a 17-year-old who was supposed to be hanging out with a friend is insane.
Duke's only personality trait was losing his ruling of the school in a fight. I don't think he has any conversation that this isn't brought up in.
The truth of her accident comes out super early in the novel, within the first 100 pages which seems super quick to me and leaves a lot of the "uncovering" of that night to be super boring and underwhelming.

Overall, this felt like a very YA book to me. I would compare it to 'Good Girl's Guide to Murder' but just worse dialogue and setup. It's so hard to write this review because I absolutely LOVE Elle Kennedy and have never had issues with her books in the past.

Casey Tresscott hasn't felt like she's in control of her life since the car accident that almost killed her. Her family and classmates treat her with kid gloves, and she's sought refuge in her relationship with Sandover's popular Fenn Bishop. But when Fenn's involvement in the accident is revealed, Casey is done being a victim.

Determined to take charge of her life, Casey rebels against her father's strict rules and parties with Sandover's troublemakers. Fenn, desperate to win her back, teams up with his stepbrother RJ to uncover the truth about the accident and those responsible. But as Casey's behavior becomes more erratic, Fenn wonders if he's lost the girl he fell in love with for good. Can they still have a future together, or is Casey's rogue behavior a sign that they're better off apart?

Not my favorite by Elle Kennedy, but pretty good! Easy to read and I love the setting of private schools.

Thank you NetGalley, Sourcebooks Bloom Books and Elle Kennedy for giving me an ARC of “Rogue” in exchange for an honest opinion.

I always love books set in schools, so this book is right up my alley! I wasn't too sure if I had to read Misfit first before reading Rogue, so I did. I really liked it! Elle Kennedy definitely writes easy-to-read books, I love the pacing of this book. If you like reading about school dramas, you'll love this book ;)

Elle Kennedy has done it again. This series is absolutely captivating. This book picked up right where the first one left off. It flowed perfectly. I loved seeing Casey’s perspective and storyline. That cliffhanger had me on the edge of my seat. And what is going to happen with Lawson?? I can’t wait to see where Elle Kennedy takes this series next.
