In my eyes, Elle Kennedy can do no wrong! I love a rich kids school drama filled book & this one delivered! Giving me some Gossip Girl vibes & I’m here for it. This book was highly addictive & I need more!
Thank you NetGalley, Bloom Books and Elle Kennedy for this read!
Rogue was an amazing sequel to the Misfit series. I love the way each character is a little bit twisted, but relatable. The lines always seem to blur on what’s right and wrong! This book will have you question your own moral compass 😉
In the book 📖
•Multiple POVs
•Betrayal
•Friends to Lovers
•Who done it ⁉️
💭 Anddd holy cliff hanger!! I cannot wait to find out what comes next😱
Rogue is the second book in Elle Kennedy’s Prep series and picks up right where Misfit left off. This series is beyond binge worthy and perfect if you love Gossip Girl (seriously there is all the high school drama). Alternating between multiple POVs you feel like you grow with the characters and empathize with them, even when they make the not so great decisions. There was also an added element of suspense as book 2 centered around figuring out what happened to one of the main characters, Casey, at prom night last year. I love how everything was tied up in the end but how Elle also set the stage for book three, which cant come soon enough!
This book reminded me how much I adore Elle Kennedy's writing. She can get me all up in my feels, have me on angsty tenterhooks, and then have me laughing out loud in the space of a few pages. She's a queen.
My only complaint is the lack of sex between Fenn and Casey and this is considered "New Adult" so i expected more.
In the follow up to Misfit, the main POVs are Casey and Fenn. We are introduced to some new characters at St. Vincent’s and Ballard. There were twists that I wasn’t expecting when it came to Casey’s accidents. I am glad Casey and Fenn got their happily ever after, but I’m worried it will all come crashing down with the arrival of a new character at the end. The ending left it setup to learn more about Lawson, Silas and Gabe and I’m looking forward to reading the next one.
Rogue
Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy that I didn’t read until after pub day 🤦♀️ this book was an escape from grad school and work for sure!
As soon as I finished the first book, Misfit, I dove into this sequel. I loved going back to the world of prep school bad boys, bad decisions, and plenty of drama.
RJ is king at school now which is joked about plenty in this book, but this story is definitely about Fenn and Casey. I loved reading more about some of the background characters like Silas and Lawson this time around.
I know this sequel was just published… but I need book three!!

I really enjoyed this one. Looking forward to seeing where the rest of this series goes! Thank you NetGalley
Fenn has always been there for Casey since the accident that almost killed her. Despite knowing how people will react, Fenn and Casey finally get together. The pair are happy until more details about the accident come out and when Casey finds out that Fenn is involved, she is left to make a very hard choice.
Rogue by Elle Kennedy is the second book in the Prep series. This one tells the tale of Fenn and Casey. Throughout the story, we learn more about Casey’s accident and learn more about the characters. While I did not think this book was as good as the first one, I still enjoyed it and would read it again. I liked reading about how Casey starts to stick up for herself and her overall character development. I also thought that Lawsons character development. Under the surface, he actually has emotions. The plot twist at the end was unexpected and not forced or rushed, which is good. This book ends on another cliffhanger, which is annoying but understandable. It just made me excited for the next book in this series. Overall, I liked this book and would recommend it to others. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
Wowza. Rogue definitely packs a punch! If Gossip Girl and Hunger Games had a baby, this series could be it. Hunger Games may be an exaggeration, but at times it feels like it.
In this book, we get more from Fenn and Casey. He's a player with a lot of personal baggage who wants to be reformed for her. And she's the good girl who is the headmaster's youngest daughter....and very off limits. She's also recovering from a traumatic accident from the year before where she almost died. They have a sweet relationship but there are secrets between them that endanger everything they're trying to build.
Of course, things happen and there's a rift and we're left watching these two pine after one another for the majority of the book. It felt a bit drawn out for me, but I guess it was needed to set up the rest of the plot?
Of course, the story doesn't just involve Fenn and Casey. There's some craziness going on with Lawson and Silas too. Lawson has been in a freefall for a while but Silas just started to lose his footing. I feel like they both need their stories told so I see at least two more books in this series.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.
This series has been tough. I didn't love Misfit because nothing really happened- it was just a bunch of talking and bantering. This one had more of a plot line with solving the mystery of what happened with Casey, even though technically the whole thing STILL wasn't solved, just one aspect.
My biggest complaint is I have no idea what happened to the chemistry between Casey and Fenn? They had it IN SPADES in Misfit and this one not only is it lackluster, but something happens where Casey has better chemistry with SOMEONE ELSE. To the point where something major happens and I mean a MAJOR BETRAYAL. How would that happen if she was truly in love with Fenn? What bothered me the most about that whole situation is how Casey never asked for forgiveness and actually made it out like she was the only one being slighted. I loved her in Misfit, but she sucked in this one. Everything she did was so out of character and even though it's explained away as her being angry and finally standing up for herself, it just didn't work.
I'm also over the multiple POVs because it takes away from the character building aspect of the characters the book is supposed to be about. We miss a lot of detail about situations that are going on (i.e. the betrayal. We don't find out the extent of what happened until almost the end of the book) and in turn doing a huge disservice to the overall plotline.
I desperately want to read Lawson's book because I think he's going to be such an interesting character. My problem is, after the ending of Rogue I'm not sure that's even going to happen. So many things were left unanswered.
I'm not sure if I'll read any more of this series. I love Elle Kennedy; she's legitimately one of my favorite authors and usually a one-click, but I admit I was super disappointed in this one.
The second book in The Prep Series, Rogue picks up right where Misfit left off. Casey is Sloane’s younger sister, and she was involved in an accident that’s left her with some memory loss and PTSD The mystery of what happened that night still haunts her but she eventually finds friendship and solace in Fenn. Casey and Fenn’s navigation of turning from friends to lovers. It also centers on Casey coping with her trauma and feeling like her father and Sloane have put her in a bubble with their overprotective tendencies. Casey is trying to figure out how she fits into this world after her accident. She’s always been the sweet, put-together sister, but she starts to act out in an effort to figure out if that’s really who she wants to be. Can’t wait for the third book.
Another stunner in this new PREP series by my autobuy author and major girl crush, Elle Kennedy! This one picked up right where MISFIT left off, and we love the drama. This series seriously gets me out of my head and I get fully invested in the teen gossip and I just love being in that world if only for a moment. Another cliffhanger ending has me waiting by the computer for news about Book 3 and a Netgalley request link 🤣🙈 so so excited!

Rogue is the second book in Elle Kennedy’s Prep series and picks up right where Misfit left off.
Casey was in a car accident after prom, and has been trying to remember the details of what happened ever since. Building on the characters and plot from Misfit, this book focuses on the budding relationship between Casey and Fenn.
I love this series and really enjoyed Casey and Fenn. I can't wait for more from this author. She is one of my favorites!!
Rating-⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2nd book in the Prep Series which picked up where Misfit left off. I felt the first half of the book was super slow and hard to get into with the multiple POVs. I struggled to get through this one but it did pick up at the end.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.
DNF @ 36%. I think I would have benefitted from reading the first book in this series as I feel like I am lost at points... but also, I am way too old for "Rogue" to begin with??? There are way too many characters giving their points of view, and I am confusing some of them because they are all dating or related or dating and related??????? Who knows at this point? This book is definitely a new-age "Gossip Girl," and I'm not sure I am the right audience for something like this. I requested it because I have enjoyed Elle Kennedy's other works, so there is no doubt people in this target demographic will love this book. Apart from the many, many, many characters, what I've read is fine...just for someone else.
Thanks to NetGalley, Elle Kennedy, and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books/Bloom Books for the ARC of this ebook. All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for my thoughts.
I mostly did enjoy this book but it didn’t keep my attention as much as Elle Kennedy’s other work. It’s good but being in my mid twenties, I felt a little old to be reading it. It was still fun and interesting but I think I’d recommend it to younger readers.
Rogue is book 2 in the Prep series by author Elle Kennedy. It is a young adult romance told from various POV.
Rogue mainly follows Casey Tresscott and Fenn Bishop, who have a backstory that starts in MISFIT, book 1 of the series. The story revolves around the secret behind Casey’s life threatening accident a year prior on the night of her prom.
ROGUE starts where Misfit left off, and here in lies the setback for me. I haven’t read book 1, and since this story is also told from various points of view, I felt lost right from the get go. There’s a ton of teenage angst and drama and a set up for book 3, but without reading the first book I’m afraid I couldn’t connect with the main characters.
Overall, I think that fans of the series (and of Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars) will enjoy this addition.
This story follows Casey Tresscott's journey as she tries to regain control of her life after a traumatic car accident. The story is set in Sandover, where Casey attends a prestigious private school and finds comfort in her relationship with Fenn Bishop, a popular boy with a dangerous secret. However, when Casey discovers the truth, she rebels against her father and bullies, while Fenn teams up with his stepbrother and delinquent classmates to uncover the truth behind the accident. The story explores control, identity, and redemption themes and is thought-provoking for young adults. The writing is smooth, and the characters are intriguing. The plot mixes drama, love, and introspection, making it a highly entertaining addition to Kennedy's Prep series. I was hooked from beginning to end.
This book was…messy. It has a bit of a soap opera or Beverly Hills 90210 feel to it. All that said, I enjoyed it. The story kept me glued to the page, which is something that Elle Kennedy is great at doing!
I was dying to have the mystery of Casey’s story wrapped up, and while it was to a point, there seems to be another layer wrapped up in a character who is back from exile. I was glad to have so many of questions answered, but with that came more questions. This series is deeper than I was expecting. The stories and characters have such a crazy winding path that I have no clue where it’s all going to end. And I love that!
One thing I do struggle with a bit is the sheer number of POVs in this series. It definitely makes me curious about the secondary characters. Although, I’m not sure anyone is a secondary character. They all seem to have an important role. I’m practically salivating for Lawson’s book. That boy is crazy tortured and I want to see him get some peace and find his HEA.
I’m gonna need that next book ASAP. I’m crazy invested with all of these fictional characters.
This did not live up to the hype of its predecessor. I didn’t care about Casey the way I cared about her sister. I found it quite boring
