Thank you so much to Sourcebook Casablanca for an advance copy of this book!

"I'm the one nobody wants until I get eighty million dollars."

Ya'll I am torn on how I feel about this book! The first half of the book was hard for me to digest. I was mostly disappointed in how Rose treated herself & what she perceived others felt about her. Granted I understood why she got those thoughts but as a plus size reader, I want my FMC to be happy and confident in their size. So it was hard to hear her say some of things about herself. I also did not understand the purpose of the character for Miz Ames. I was hoping for some sort of resolution with her by the end but there really wasn't anything? Her note to her was not kind and very backhanded. I am curious to see if we get any more answers in the upcoming books.

I definitely was much more invested in the story in the 2nd half. I thought the conflict for the couple was somewhat warranted. I also like the friend group that Rose was able to make and think she really found herself in this city of Galway.

"Now I totally fucking get why people like getting naked."

Rosie overall was such a sweet person. She was giving an opportunity that most of us don't ever have and decided not to be selfish with it. All she ever wanted was to help people and by the end she was able to do so. Angus meant well in everything he did but sometimes his delivery was a little off. I do love how into he was with Rosie. He was very gentle and really listened to her stories from her past without any sort of judgment.

I do like how the author made Angus a Vet and that he worked with discharged Vets. I thought that it was a very honorable career. And similar to Rose, just likes helping people and wanting the best for them. This definitely had more spicier bits that I was expecting (going in I thought it was closed door).

As much as this wasn't my favorite romance, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and could not stop reading it. I know this was the author's debut so perhaps she was just getting into her groove. I probably will check out the 2nd book in the series to see what's happening with July.

If you like a Hallmark story with a hot handyman & a fat FMC who is coming into her own plus throw $80 million dollars in there - this is the book for you!

3.5

**Thank you for the ARC, NetGalley. This review is my opinion**

WOW! This book was hilarious, fun, and it was so enjoyable. I literally laughed out loud at the banter between Rose and Angus. The romance was cute, light, and still address real issues (how our Vets are treated in this country, the mental health crisis they go through, and the little help they get; also, rape and assault). I honestly did not expect to love this book so much. After reading dark romances like "Haunting Adeline", I needed a lighter romance to balance things. Once this is published, I will be purchasing a copy because this book deserves to be on my personal shelf!

Cute romantic comedy about two people who feel unloveable. Lots of sexual tension as they work together on her house and garden. It is almost a Cinderella story as Rose has won the lottery and is deciding how to spend the money to help others. But keeping it from Angus could mean disaster. Fun read with really likable characters. Read through NetGalley.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Alice is your typical lower class fat waitress, she dropped out of high school, her mom died, she has no friends. Laura really hammered in on these facts that’s why she was so unlovable. After winning the lottery, she switches her name to Rose and flees her hometown to start over. Her car gets stuck in the snow and she lands in Galway, NC. Some burly mean man pushes her out and she ends up at a B&B.

Overall I really like this book. Lots of great representation, enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine, big secret. Which the big secret was the money, Angus thought she was broke and it seemed like every single one of his POVs was just hung up on how he’s going to take care of her, which she didn’t need. The conflict was a little over the top, the reconciliation a little rushed, but all in all I would give 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars!

This felt like a hallmark movie with a bit of spice. It was sweet book set in a small town with a grumpy contractor/therapist who was helping the FMC renovate her dream home.

There was a surprising amount of depth to these characters. Angus struggled with his own self worth while trying to help veterans manage their PTSD.

Rosie had an incredibly generous heart and she didn’t let her past trauma stop her from helping others.

I loved watching the two of them coach each other out of their shells. Their mutual pining was pretty adorable. This was a slow burn with minimal spice, but it did make sense for these characters.

I found myself frustrated by the third act conflict and how both characters handled it. Angus really needed to see a therapist. Rosie did too. I was expecting more from them.

I'm sorry to say this one wasn't a winner for me. I absolutely loved the premise! But I couldn't quite connect with any of the characters. Partially, I think the writing was just a bit off for me, with the random ways the scenes would end and then jump. Not always to a different POV, and I think if the transitions were smoother I would've been more invested, then feel like everything was all over the place. Also, even though this had very realistic themes, I feel like the main character had everything simply happen for her, and I didn't feel like those themes were explored the way I wish they were. All in all, thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this!

DNF at 25 percent. I wanted to like this book so badly, especially because there was actual fat rep! Not just "curvy" but fat! The first thing that really ruined it for me was the male narrator. The woman was wonderful, but I just could not stand his voice and it was such a huge turn off. So around 15 percent I switched to the ebook, and it was better, but I just couldn't get myself to care enough about the characters. I think I am just really done with romance around cis het white people. I thought the fat representation would make it better, but it still didn't. I also really don't like enemies to lovers so that's on me. I need to stop requesting books with that troupe because I almost never like them. It was so annoying that they hated each other for quite literally no reason. Anyway, if you like enemies to lovers and cis het romance, I would still recommend this one! I liked the cute small town vibes and the writing was good!

If you’re looking for a plus size representative slow burn that you cannot put down, look no further.

Being plus size myself I really related to these characters. I really felt for Rose who was always looked down on until she came into money and suddenly, everyone who disliked her suddenly wanted to be her best friend.

But she decides to leave those people and that town behind and finds a new small town and a man named Angus, a grumpy vet with a soft spot for Rose.

These two had my heart. Couldn’t love this enough.

This book made me feel all the feels. It was a little slow but once I got into it I couldn't stop! I loved the curvy girl representation and how it shined the perfect light on mental health. Angus and Rosie's relationship was just perfect. Two introverts that just went together so well. I loved this town. I loved our side characters (who I'm hoping get their own books). If you're looking for a small-town romance with a bit of a slow-buildup and your not-so-average main characters, this is perfect.

The writing was a bit jarring initially: the author has a peculiar writing style, very flowy and introspective, but after a bit I got used to it and I literally inhaled page after page of this lovely romance. It kept me hooked from the very first page and adored following Rose on her journey towards happiness. I totally recommend this story!

TWs/CWs: fatphobia, death, sexual assault, bullying, PTSD, suicide (mentioned)

I really loved this story. It was cute, fun and really different.

Rose was amazing and I love reading about her story and journey. She grew so much.
She's so brave to leave everything in search of her new happiness.

I love grumpy x sunshine and this one was written perfectly. It's one of my favorites tropes with Small town, so it was perfect.

The only thing that irritates me is how Angus reacts at the end of the book. I don't want to say too much for spoilers. I think he didn't grow enough in my taste.

Rose Barnes is on the move; she left her hometown after winning the lottery for $80 Million. Angus Drummond finds her car stuck in the snow and helps her out. Angus is big, bearded and grumpy. Rose ends up staying in Galway, NC at a B&B for two weeks. She falls in love with the town and decides to make her home in Galway.
Rose doesn't want anyone to know about her money due to problems she had in her old hometown. After buying her new house Angus becomes her contractor; he loves all her curves.
Rose is trying to improve her life and starts college and is working on making a home in town. Angus and her finally admit to their attraction to each other. Just as Angus feels like he wants to make a life with Rose the money gets in the way.
I just loved this book; the writing was great, and the story line was well written.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I loved how this book was a hug in a mug and kudos to all the curvy girls this is an ode to you. This i book follows Rose who is a curvy woman whose life changes when she wins the lottery. She ends up in a small own in North Carolina where she meets Angus who is this bearded contractor so into her. sense. Angus peels layers of Rose as he sees the woman she is -an attractive , funny and smart woman. Absolutely enjoyed the romance , the build up and the angst I needed more.

“Curves for Days” is the epitome of the perfect romance novel. I laughed, I cried, and I cheered for the main characters throughout the entire novel. It’s absolutely beautiful.

I went in expecting a run-of-the-mill romance novel, but what I read was so much more than that. Rose reminds me a lot of myself. She is a hard worker who is determined to be more than anyone expected her to be. Moving to a new town helped her become that person…and hide the fact that she had won the lottery.

I love grumpy x sunshine novels. Angus is the grumpiest grump I have encountered, but he has his reasons. I loved that Rose was able to bring out the sunshine in him. And the spice was just a happy little extra!

I cannot wait to read more from this author! Look for “Curves for Days” to release on August 22nd!

I want to extend a huge thank you to Laura Moher, Sourcebooks Casablanca, and NetGalley for providing me with the opportunity to read and review this book.

I really wanted to like this book (because yay fat rep!) and I did like parts of it, but other parts fell flat. I enjoyed the main relationship at times, but other times it just felt like the mmc wanted to ‘fix’ the fmc. The fmc’s character seemed to consist mostly of her trauma regarding her past and her big secret that she was hiding from everyone and…nothing else. The third act breakout was really drawn out and felt out of character. Overall, it was a quick easy read, I just wish the characters had more depth. 2.5 stars rounded up.

Review: A beautiful love story about a sensitive heroine in Rose who's been through trauma. She doesn't trust anyone until she falls for Angus, a burly, grumpy cinnamon roll. He's a bit of a curmudgeon, keeping everyone @ a distance until Rose worms her way into his heart. It's a story of healing, learning to trust, and just being a good human being.

Unfortunately I didn't love this grumpy/sunshine, dual POV, small town romance as much as I was hoping to. While the fat girl rep was excellent and the book had loads of emotional depth (including rape trauma in the past), the overall chemistry and plot of the story just left me wanting :( Would still recommend for fans of authors like Mary Warren, Lexy Josephine or Jodi Slaughter. Many thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

This debut novel by Laura Moher is a celebration of plus-size heroines, grumpy but well-meaning heroes, and finding a space and place you can call home. Moher's wit and humor sing on the page. Sitting with Rose and her friends will feel like having a cup of coffee and chatting with your own besties. I was rooting for Rose from page one. I can't wait to see wait we get next from Moher.

This was a fun one! It started out a little slow for me but I'm glad I stuck around. Once the baby wound up in the yard (iykyk) I was starting to chuckle and get invested. Curves for days has a dual POV. Rose's narration talks about her weight, but she's not negative on herself and confronts judgment in others. I really liked that in Angus' narration, he never mentions Rose's weight - he thinks she's beautiful, so why should he notice, right? We need more of that.
The conflict/third act break up was frustrating - not because it was unbelievable necessarily, but because Angus' reaction made him a lot less appealing to me as a love interest. I know he got called out for his sexism, but still. I would have liked to see Rose madder at him for that.
