this was such a fun, sweet, heartwarming story! I saw myself so much in Rose! I love seeing such a multilayered FMC— fun & snarky, vulnerable & anxious, so open & real about life. Rose is dealing with a brand new environment when Angus shows up in her life being an absolute adorkable grump who I love so so much! I wish he wasn’t so dense lol (makes it a really slow burn) but he & Rose are so freaking cute together & I love how the both make each other feel so safe & loved. just an amazingly sweet, fun story :)
thanks for the ARC!!!

It took me everything I could to sit and write this review. I can honestly say I don't know why so many people liked this book. I'm all for romance books but here are my issues:
1. Let's start with our main girl, she was decently likable with many layers. I love that she is always wanting to learn and get shit done (easy when you have money but I digress). I think her obsession with lingerie was jarring at first but as someone who has trouble with Nev weight, I get wanting to feel confident in anyway you can.
2. Angus-our main man. Jesus Christ now did we go from simp city to raging mysoginistic asshole. Mad cause she can save herself? Fuck off angus. Honestly it really ruined my perception of him and I instantly regretted reading this.
3. Where is the timeline? Why is there no perception of now lung all these tasks are taking? There isn't any until the end unless you count when she first arrives and had only been traveling for a week before she found the place. Every thing happened too fast.
4. The book hits on a lot of sensitive topics but never goes in to depth about any of them. It felt like we were just checking off boxes of things to include in the book to give it more then just “girl wins lottery, moves to new town, falls in love with handyman” if there’s no depth involved why mention it?
5. I really didn’t like the writing style but that’s a personal preference.
All in all, it wasn’t worth the read and I almost didn’t finish it. Kinda wish I wouldn’t have since the ending pissed me off so bad. Cmon rose, you deserve better.

Great plus size rep in this book. I am always looking out for books that represent more plus size characters this was an excellent example of that. This book had me hooked from the very beginning to the very end it had some really good characters in it. Rose was my favourite thought out this whole story. I would highly recommend this book

I’m always looking for more plus size rep in my life and this was a good example of one. I really loved both characters as they pulled me in.

Enjoyable, great pacing, exciting settings kept me hooked. Classic, spicy love novel that will be the perfect beach read. Thank you Net Galley for ARC in exchange for my honest opinion

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I adored this book! Great plus size rep and I really enjoyed their dynamic as a couple. Each character had their own struggle to overcome in order to return to each other, it felt deeply authentic and made me tear up a few times. Rose was such a phenomenal character, I loved seeing her bloom and what she chose to do by the end of the book. Oh Angus, you are so lovable just as you are. No scoreboards required.

It's been so long since I read a book where out heroine actually HAS curves (not those books that SAY it but then tell readers she's a size 6!?!). So reading this one made me so happy! I actually wanted to reach inside the book and give out hugs because I adored it so much! Finally, we have a relatable heroine and readers are going to love her!

A really lovely small town romance, I just wish men like Angus existed in real life!
The book deals with some heavy themes and stirred up lots of feelings about my own childhood/insecurities, but they’re all dealt with in a careful manner and it was lovely to read a romance with a plus size character who isn’t constantly defined by her weight. Rose is a wonderful character, I loved reading her journey of self-discovery and figuring out her place in the world. The characters she befriends and the community she builds along the way are wonderful too. This book is rooted in the ethos of ‘be the good you want to see in the world’, and honestly it’s just really lovely.
Angus is amazing for the most part, with some complex and interesting flaws, but the third act break-up went in a direction I wasn’t a hundred percent expecting. The other characters do call him out for his slightly sexist ‘saviour complex’ issues—but up until then he’d been incredibly considerate and understanding, so it was a little jarring to see how he reacted in this situation and felt out of character to how he’d been presented up until then. But the eventual happy ending is perfectly swoon worthy and overall I really enjoyed this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It took me a little bit to get in to the story but once I did, it was such a fun, easy read and I couldn’t put it down.
First off, I love reading about plus size heroines because I love being able to see myself within the world of fiction however, it felt like within the first fifty or so pages, you couldn’t read more than three paragraphs before Rose’s weight was referenced again. I think there’s a fine line between balance and overboard and I wanted to see more of her personality than ‘fat’ and it took until about the halfway point before I could really get a feel for who she was! Once I did, I loved her to bits! Rose hasn’t had the easiest life and winning the lottery shakes the foundation of her world; my heart felt so warm whenever we saw her appreciating the little, everyday things that most people take for granted.
Angus was such a lovely hero; I love a burly, sort of grumpy handyman and I loved how he was so enamored with ‘Rosie’ (so cute) from almost day one. I loved seeing their relationship develop over the weeks and months that the story spanned. Also, despite their age, their dynamic still had that sort of sweetness that reminds me of young love which I adore!
Overall, it was really great! I love seeing body positivity and inclusivity (shoutout to Naomi at the lingerie store for pointing out how not carrying larger sizes alienates a huge part of the population—preach!) within books and I love seeing an unapologetic heroine. I can’t wait for this to hit shelves so my friends can pick it up!
Lastly, thank you to NetGalley, Sourcebooks Casablanca, and Laura Moher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

3.5 stars. I loved the small town setting of this book and all the side characters. The two MCs were up and down for me. Things happened in the third act that threw a wrench in this for me.

I absolutely loved all the body positivity in Curves for Days! This was such a fun read and cannot recommend it enough!

This book had me interested from the very first page, rose and Angus were great together and I loved read their journey. From Angus’ view Rose is someone he should avoid but he quickly develops a friendship with her, but this friendship could blossom into something more if her secret doesn’t change his Angus thinks about her. This book was well written.

Thank you to Netgalley, Laura Moher, and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Curves for Days!
I really wasn't sure what to expect from this book, and wow did it deliver! First, I think the setting of Galway was excellent. The town itself and all of the different characters that live there really came to life. I think the author did a great job of giving the side characters personality and life.
I also think this book had a surprising amount of heart. I thought it was going to be a fun little rom-com and it unexpectedly hit me in the emotional feels. The relationship between Rose and Angus just felt so genuine and deep and I was immediately invested and rooting for them.
One thing that didn't quite work for me was the pacing. For some reason this book felt like it moved slowly. Around 30% in I swore we were at least at the 70% mark. I loved it all, but I feel like there were some parts that dragged while others felt rushed (like the resolution of the conflict).
Overall, I had a fun time and I feel like this is a must read if you like grumpy/sunshine, a surprisingly sweet romance, small town, heartwarming, plus size heroine

What a cute read with a lot of heart and emotion! Rose’s story was one that broke my heart but also made me smile. She was such a little force of nature! The way she found herself in Galway at just the time she needed it, surrounded by genuine people who truly cared about her. It was heartwarming. I loved the meet cute with Angus and how their relationship flourished due to forced proximity from both work and the small town. Their banter back and forth was entertaining and I loved how they could truly be themselves around each other, even when it wasn’t the best versions of themselves. Every character in the story brought something essential and really helped this book feel warm and inviting.
I was worried that with a small town romance like this, the steam would be non existent but I was wrong! This read had the perfect balance of naught and nice! I was so happy with the way things unfolded romantically for Rose and Angus. It felt genuine and their chemistry was undeniable.
Really enjoyed all of the twists and turns, turmoil and tantrums. Just enough drama to keep things interesting but not overpower the book’s wonderful story. The money component of the book was unique and really allowed the author to come up with some complicated situations and grand gestures!
I would be so delighted to see additional books from this world! I really want July’s story!!!

I will auto-read any book with fat rep.
Thirtysomething Rose wins the lottery, and her world of solitude is turned upside down. Everyone is coming out of the woodwork to snag a piece of her spotlight. In the middle of the night, she sets out for a new life. She ends up getting stuck on the side of the road in North Carolina.
Enter Angus (my newest book boyfriend). He’s big and grumpy. He helps a cute stranger (Rose) when she gets stuck, and then begins to see her around town.
The two end up spending alot of time together when Rose hires someone (who turns out to be Angus) to help fix up her new home. What starts as silence turns to friendship turns into something more. But while the two begin to open up to each other, Rose is still conflicted on sharing all her secrets.
I loved this one. The story was warm and heartfelt, while dealing with tough topics. The romance was a slow burn, but the chemistry was swoony. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebook Casablanca for the ARC. Curves For Days is out August 22nd!

This book is a great representation of fat women main characters. I am passionate about spreading the word about books in which the fat woman is the center of a love story. I don't think I'd put Curves for Days all the way up there with Talia Hibbert, I think it was quite as laugh out loud as her books. So I would rate it a 4 out of 5 stars. It's not on my "immediately buy a hard copy and annotate" list, but it's on my "I need to share this so fat women have options of representation in romance" list.
Curves for Days tackled so many issues that real people face on a daily basis, I think it was one of those really down to earth books, where you find yourself absolutely relating to Rose and Angus. I mean yes Rose won 80 million dollars in the lottery. Something that fantastical would lead you to think this is just another improbable "oh that would never happen in real life" rom com. Seriously, it doesn't. The way the author incorporated the trust issues and trauma so many fat women experience along with managing that much freaking money is completely believable. The love interest, Angus, is also a super relatable character. I think a lot of people go about life the way he does. Always trying to settle a scoreboard to make sure you are not indebted to anyone. He's also a war veteran psychologist navigating PTSD in his own life and the vets he serves. There is so much interest in the book for a large readership, not just fat women.
This book was your typical grumpy meets sunshine romance trope. I enjoyed that aspect a lot. The other trope that comes into play is miscommunication (of epic proportions), which really isn't my jive. Had the 3rd act twist not included that trope, I think Curves for Days would have been a 5 out of 5. Although, if miscommunication is your jam, you HAVE to pick this one up. The resolution would most likely be *chefs kiss* for you. Angus' idea of white hatting through life turned me off at the very end, and I just hated how he handled the situation. However, Rose stood her ground and told him off, so I was happy with it :D

I love nothing more than a fmc whose body are like mine. I’ve read so many romances where the fmc is thin and although those books are fine they don’t represent me. I loved curved for days! Rose gets money after her favorite customer passes away in her arms & she ends up leaving Indiana and ending up in NC where she meets Angus. Angus is a veteran who helps out our vets by providing therapy services for them. He also has a knack for home renovations and helps Rose fix up her house. When Rose & Angus meet they don’t get along, but the more time they spend together the more that changes. Thank you net galley & the publisher for the arc 4/5 stars

This was a cute read! It was good fat rep and I felt like I enjoyed the FMC’s overall journey. However it felt a bit stale and in the scheme of plus size romance, not the best. The plot structure was weak and at times poorly developed. Characters were okay. Just a mid read, overall.

The third act breakup was a bit played out. Not a fan.

Thanks to Netgalley & Sourcebooks for access to this E-ARC! I really enjoyed this book. The romance was really cute and I loved the plus-size rep! Definitely recommend this book!

Thank you so much to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
When Alice “Rose” Barnes wins the lottery, she makes the easy decision to skip town and move to a small town in North Carolina. There she meets Angus, a cranky contractor who she ends up hiring to renovate her newly purchased fixer-upper. Despite the title, Laura Moher’s "Curves for Days" doesn’t focus on Rose’s size and body. Although a novel with a plus-size MC doesn’t necessarily have to revolve around their body, the title made it seem like her size had more of an impact on the story.
I really appreciated the side characters we were introduced to, especially Sabrina and July. It was so crucial for Rose to foster healthy, non-romantic relationships, and I’m happy that Mother included that in this book.
*spoilers ahead*
The “third act breakup” was a bit odd to me. Firstly, Angus planned to propose to Rose a) after knowing her for a few short months and b) without asking about her financial situation. Secondly, Angus gets upset at Rose for keeping her lottery winnings a secret (which, yeah, makes total sense even without her old neighbors/bullies coming out of the woodwork and begging for money). Lastly, Angus is a licensed therapist! Him completely cutting off Rose instead of, you know, talking to her didn’t make sense with his characterization - at least to me. I appreciate that Rose let him have it (though I think she forgave him too quickly).
Overall this was a cute and quick beach read! 3/5 stars.
