Interesting and well written I just personally couldn’t get into the story. Difficult to follow at times and a little slow. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A must read for all the women in your life! Most of us are brought up to be embarrassed by these intimate questions but we are only hurting ourselves. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to your friends or doctors, check out this book.
So much useful information, presented in a voice that is personable and funny.
I wish this text existed years ago so that I may have had it as a reference. I can foresee this becoming a standard read for people with uteruses.
I LOVE Dr. Jolene Brighton. I’ve followed her on Instagram for a few years so while reading this book I could hear how she was saying things and could totally imagine some of her facial expressions too. Her personality shines through in this book with knowledge, wit and she deals with a few (for some) controversial/taboo topics tastefully. I could imagine any adult woman reading this and being able to “chew the meat and spit out the bones” when it comes to a topic that may not be of interest to some while being totally inclusive of those with opposite interests.
Everything about the hormones has specifically been intriguing to me as I got my own diagnosis and began my healing journey when this E-ARC came. The information is well researched and easy to understand and with a plan for foods + healing to boot - YES, PLEASE! I’m writing this review before I start the 28 day journey that is in the book but I will update my review as soon as I’ve finished it!
Ahhhh I really enjoyed this book! It was compelling and informative without being boring, which I appreciated!
I appreciate books like these more than the authors will ever know or understand!
"Is This Normal?" answers the questions that most, if not all, women have at some point in their lives. From body parts and functions to sexual preferences and tendencies, this book answers all of the embarrassing questions that we may not want to bring up to our own doctors, families, and friends.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions.
