Noms! I absolutely love my pressure cooker, and I have been attempting to eat gluten free for a while now, so this book is right up my alley. I love that the authors also give clear indication that the recipe is dairy free, soy free, etcetera, so that the reader knows right away if the recipe contains any other known allergens. There are so many different recipes, both savoury and sweet, to choose from! You'll be surprised at the variety of foods you can make in your pressure cooker. It's one of my favourite cooking methods because of its simplicity and ease of cleaning as well as reducing the amount of time spent hovering over hot elements for extended periods of time. Pressure cooking can save you time and energy, both in your physical body and also reducing your environmental impact. These recipes are simple and easy to make and gluten free! Each photo is enticing and makes me want to go cook immediately. Special attention is also devoted to discussing cross contamination in communal kitchens with folks who aren't gluten free and maintaining your pressure cooker to provide you with years of quick and easy cooking.
I love quick and easy recipes and I need more gluten free meal options. This book has some I have tried and they have been successful. Some of the recipes have higher ingredient demands than I like.
This cookbook shows you how to cook gulten-free meals with ease in your Instant Pot. It is a pressure cooker which cooks with exceptional flavor and nutrition. It also cooks foods quickly. It is safe and uses less energy and cleanup is a breeze. It teaches you how the pressure cooker works. It teaches you about the parts of a pressure cooker. The outer housing unit or base, the inner cooking pot, the pressure release valve, the sealing ring and the display buttons on the control panel. Each recipe will cook up lightening fast in the electric pressure cooker and will have everyone asking for more. This cookbook is a great beginner's book for gluten-free meals. Thanks to NetGalley and New Shoe Press for a copy for an honest review.
These recipes look amazing. Can't wait to start cooking them. Not sure which one I will make first because there are so many yummy ones.
This is a nice, rather short cookbook that delivers on gluten free instant pot recipes but didn’t particularly inspire me. There are very few photos and there is no nutritional information. The recipes do state whether they suit needs like dairy free, vegetarian and eggfree. I don’t know that I would call them that easy or quick. They also often call for purchased ingredients like 8 cups of cut up gluten free bread, gluten free panko bread crumbs, gluten free biscuit mix or two cups of a bottled sauce. The recipes are often very heavy on carbs, dairy and meat and pretty low on vegetables other than a few recipes specific to veggies. There are some vegan recipes as well. I appreciated the use of healthy grains like millet in places. As someone who has an extensive gluten free cookbook library, this isn’t a book I personally would buy but those new to GF cooking who are used to the standard American diet are likely to like it.
I read a temporary digital arc of this book via NetGalley.
I was disappointed after downloading this book as the recipe I was most excited about, Marvelous Meatball Stroganoff, was not included in the PDF, or I couldn't find it easily. There seemed to be some other good recipes included, but I haven't tried any of them yet.
I liked that this book had a how-to section at the beginning, especially in using the equipment that is to be used for cooking the dishes. The only thing that I noticed is that most, if not all, of the dishes NEED the equipment mentioned to make these foods. As someone who don't have all the electrical equipment needed, I feel like I can do only a handful of recipes.
This recipe book contains instructions and an introduction to using a pressure cooker for those who haven't used it, as well as recipes for all occassions with specific allergen advice. I appreciate the fact they clarify if something is vegan/soy free/gluten free on top of each recipe, so people with multiple allergies can easily pick the recipes that work for them. There are also notes along with each recipe which are quite interesting/useful depending on which one you read.
Not all of the recipes are standard things you could cook in another way easily. For example, one of the recipes even tells you how to make your own yogurt!
Some of the recipes contain ingredients which are a bit more US-focused (or at least ingredients I haven't readily found in UK supermarkets) or specific non-UK brands, but I think you could easily find alternatives so it doesn't bother me much.
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this cookbook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review, which I leave voluntarily.
I'm a coeliac and avid Instant Pot user so when I saw this cookbook and the promise of easy and quick gluten free recipes, I was intrigued!
Overall, the recipes are good but they are fairly simple. I've seen several almost exactly the same in other books so didn't feel like there was a new, exciting recipe that I wanted to run and make.
This is the perfect book for someone new to the Instant Pot and gluten free diet as the explanation at the front of the book is very thorough.
Ultimately a good read!
The book has many interesting recipes for those who are looking for gluten free and even those who are not. I am looking forward to making many of the recipes in this book. They are very easy to follow and perfect especially for the winter weather. The instant pot is a great invention and I am always looking for new recipes.
As a family with some one who has a gluten intolerance I've been on lookout for a recipe book for gluten free meals. I loved the hints and explanations in the beginning of setting up the kitchen safely and the book is well laid out with eye catching recipes.
There are several we are looking forward to trying though some you wouldn't expect gluten would been issue. A handy read for gluten free newbies
This book was perfect for me because I'm recently having to eat gluten free and I'm incredibly drawn to easy recipes. I will say it is essential for me to be able to see the finished product to get me amped up to cook it so the book would have benefited from that for me personally. However, the recipes are wonderful and varied and there aren't so many as to make you feel completely overwhelmed, especially as a beginner to gluten free cooking.
Quick and Easy Gluten-Free Instant Pot is an informative recipe book for every meal of the day offering the reassurance of gluten free ingredients and well balanced nutritional food. There are also snack and dessert recipes. The pictures are good and all the family will love the recipes. It is a great way to cook for everyone even those without a gluten intolerance. The instant pot is a brilliant piece of equipment and using it for gluten free cooking is a very good idea. This book is also suitable for beginner cooks as the instructions are easy to follow and many of the recipes are quite simple.
This is a great cookbook for both people who are glutton free and those that aren’t. Full of lots of delicious meals that have easy to follow instructions. This book has recipes for so many different types of foods. You can plan a full course meal with this cookbook.
So many options and so many wonderful recipes.
Highly recommend to those who need gluten free options and even those who don't.
Can't wait to use a few of these in my menu planning.
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book.
As a person who has suffered with migraines my whole life and recently found out that it is due to food sensitivities. I was so excited to see a cookbook that uses my favorite kitchen appliance filled with new recipes to be tried!
When making dramatic changes to your diet it can be overwhelming, but this book definitely did an excellent job guiding the reader on best practices and tips. The pictures that accompanied the recipes were beautiful and I can't wait to start making them! I give this book 5 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and the author for an advanced copy.
