*My Opinion*
Recipies are great, furthermore when they have a "mission" =) I like learning new stuff when it comes to cooking, and also when it is healthy and delicious! Intermittent Fasting sounds very interesting and the recipies I have seen and read were looking nice. I am sure I will dig into it - I like how it is explained.
Even though there seems to be so many intermittent fasting books in the market I must say I enjoyed the recipes in this one. Easy to follow and good ideas throughout.
Informative book . Easy and interesting recipes to follow. If you are novice with intermittent fasting, this book helps you to learn more about fasting.
This book is a great overview of Intermittent fasting and is very informative. I learned a lot and will be implementing some of the recipes that were in the book. The recipes are fairly simple and the ingredients are easy to get. The recipes are healthy and delicious and the book itself would make a great gift to a friend that is starting their intermittent fasting journey. The book does include pictures of the food which is helpful as well.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to read and review this book. I received a copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest review
An excellent introduction to intermittent fasting. It gives quite readable information about this lifestyle. It includes several dozen healthy recipes. It includes beautiful pictures with most recipes.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC. All thoughts are my own.
This is a terrific starter guide to intermitten fasting. Lots of great information to get you started on a healthier journey. I found the author quite concise and well versed on the subject.
An interesting approach for a dietary pattern I have heard a bit about. It had a very helpful introductory segment which explained the different types of patterns you can follow and the ways you can do it. As a beginner, this is definitely the book for you! I haven't yet tried all of the recipes yet, but they all look fairly easy and manageable, I look forward to trying some of them!
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this cookbook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review, which I leave voluntarily
Sadly archived before I could read so can't really review this one but sure I would have. loved it. Thank you agin to the publisher,
The perfect cookbook for those learning about fasting. Easy to follow instructions and the recipes look scrumptious! I love the variety of protein options. This is a great addition to any kitchen
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review the ARC for "Intermittent Fasting Recipes for Beginners." I have been on the hunt for the perfect weight loss guide/cookbook for a long time. Intermittent fasting has been widely known and suggested to me for a while, but I was wary about actually fasting. This book definitely helped change my perspective. There is many types of intermittent fasting and the book gives a lot of information and tricks to succeed in it. Most of the book is info and there are some recipes, so I think the title is a bit misleading. Overall I think this book is a great tool for those looking for a healthy way to lose weight.
I love a quick and easy reference cookbook, and this IF for beginners is handy to keep around. I've read a fair few books on IF now, and I know that it's still hard to explain to people sometimes - it's not something I'm currently working to, as I need to understand more about how it interacts with my ADHD (which has some key food triggers/assists), but when I was working to IF, I did find a number of physical and financial benefits.
This book has some tasty recipes laid out in a simple, illustrated manner (love the colour photos!) and includes a variety of nutritional and basic IF information. I think this gives any beginner a good place to start, and they can expand their reading from there (it'd be good to have the author's favourites linked, as they mention not being a specialist in IF but not really where they've learnt from).
After reading this, I'd be happy to consider picking up the hard copy to use in the kitchen for whenever I want/am able to return to intermittent fasting again!
Ever since I was introduced to the idea of intermittent fasting I was fascinated by it as a sustainable dietary plan. My biggest stumbling block was finding a book that explained clearly the various fasting options, lists of pros and cons. Nicole Poirier's book has solved this for me and was just what I was looking for.
The author starts with the basics of fasting, moves to the different fasting patterns and styles, answers FAQs and then discusses that even while following this eating pattern what you eat still matters i.e. lower carbs etc.
The recipes are good, though as always there are some I would make (anti -inflammatory green curry soup) and others which don't appeal. (crispy turnip hash browns), but there are plenty of fab recipes to easily create daily menus. Each recipe includes detailed nutritional information and most importantly for me the carbs and net carb details. Also included in this information are sodium, potassium, fibre fat and protein amounts.
If you are starting out on intermittent fasting / time restricted eating then this is a great book to start you off. Recipe amounts are in cups and grams so fine for UK readers. Recommended - my thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for access to this ARC, all views are my own.
Super amazing!! New to Intermittent Fasting? Then you will want this book! The recipes are great, easy to fix and lovely to eat.
It was really interesting to learn more about intermittent fasting, though I have to admit I was mostly excited about this for the recipes. I'm trying to be really intentional and healthy about what I eat, and there's a great collection of nutritionally dense foods included here. I might give the fasting a try at some point, but I really can't wait to try some of these meals!
Thank you so much Quarto Publishing Group and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Intermittent Fasting Recipes for Beginners is a great cookbook! It goes into great detail about the science of intermittent fasting and possible health benefits as well as the various ways it can be utilized in your diet. From there it moves into recipes broken into various sections from snacks, meals, and types of food. The recipes look delicious and easy there is something to please almost anyone and I plan to use this book quite often. Definitely recommend it if you’re interested in learning more about intermittent fasting. I would like to see Jess recipes revolving around hemp as I’m not interested in it. However, I found tons of recipes for me and I’m very excited to get started.
Intermittent Fasting (IF) is very popular, and Poirier gives some good, nutritious and easy-to-make recipes for all the different fasting intervals.
It's all about getting maximum nutrition in the reduced amount of time you have.
She looks at the most common IF protocols and there's a FAQ section.
Recipe ingredients are given in both cups and metric, and could be used by anyone looking to improve their nutrition, not just those on IF regimes.
Recipes include Dark Chocolate Almond Power Balls; Bacon, Basil, and Tomato Quiche-Lettes; Red Lentil, Vegetable, and Coconut Soup; Baby Spinach, Blueberry, and Goat Cheese Salad with Crispy Tempeh.
A useful guide for beginners starting out on intermittent fasting with an engaging voice that allows the passion for this topic to shine. The way the book is broken up provides a clear flow with understandable, digestible information, and the breakdown of the different types of fasting schedules and the FAQs section were portions of the book that I particularly enjoyed.
I also appreciate that the author included a disclaimer about not being a scientist/specialist but that this the author’s experience and passion. However, I would have appreciated some of the resources mentioned to be listed at the end of the book for further research.
There’s also a range of recipes with something for everyone, and I shall definitely be trying a few!
Thanks for Netgalley and New Shoe Press for an eARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
This has a lot of great info of you are doing the intermittent fasting, however i also found that these recipes are great for the regular day to day eating as well. We tried the dark chocolate almond power balls, and hot diggity they were yummy!
I highly recommend whether or not you’re doing intermittent fasting or not.
Thank you for the advanced copy.
