This simple cookbook delivers what it promises. The recipes are designed to give you maximum nutrients when you break your fasts and eat. The book covers the basics of benefits of fasting, types, troubleshooting, etc. There are photos for about half the recipes and they contain nutritional info. While the author specializes in keto diets and says keto works well with fasting, many of the recipes are not keto (maybe a third are?). Vegetarian recipes are included and I don’t even recall seeing a single recipe with gluten, so it should be a good fit for gluten free folks. The recipes use whole, unprocessed foods and most are easy to find and affordable.
I read a temporary digital copy of this book for review.
I’ve been practicing intermittent fasting for over 5 years and I believe it to be quite beneficial in terms of allowing the body to heal and process the way it was always meant to do. And even though I’ve been intermittent fasting, I still gleaned some information and knowledge from the topics covered in this book. It’s quite eye-opening and covers various fasting plans and helps you decide which one is best for you individually. The rest of the book offers some really awesome recipes that look delicious (colorful and vibrant pictures) and I can’t wait to try them! Some great tips for meal planning are included as well. This is a great informative book on IF that I wholeheartedly recommend. I only wish it would have been available in an ebook publication (Kindle) as I had to download it to my computer, but that said, I’ll be re-visiting it quite a bit! I’m grateful to have been given an opportunity to review an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.
Intermittent Fasting is becoming very popular and this book will help you get started. It’s gives a brief overlook at different sorts of fasts and then there is a section on recipes. I loved the pictures of the food on the recipes and the nutritional information. It also showed you what items you required for cooking the items. There are some great recipes that I’m looking forward to trying.
Colourful, easy recipes and great layout. I liked it a lot.
A really informative and inspiring book! I have been doing the 5:2 diet before. I really want to get back to that diet, and this book made me even more eager to start. Furthermore, I learned so many new things, that I didn't know before. Earlier when I fasted I just counted calories and that's it. However, this book really gives you tips and is very informative when it talks about nutrients etc. I really liked that it focused on this and not only shared recipes.
The recipes sound amazing, and they are simple to make, something I like since I am not someone who spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
Highly recommend this book!

This is a really fantastic book on intermittent fasting. The beginning of the book explains the different types of methods of fasting, the benefits and cautions, who should and shouldn't practice, etc. This has a lot of really great knowledge about fasting and even goes on to explain the science behind it and why it works. The pictures are just beautiful and so vibrant. I can't wait to make some of the recipes in this as well because they actually look good and fairly easy to make for the most part.
