Sorry. I read this back in the day but it disappeared from my list and I couldn't figure out where I had gotten the ARC.
Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to read this book before it became unavailable to me. As my reading preferences have changed in the years since I requested this book, I do not think it would be a good fit for me now.
I was blown away... KA's New Adult contemporary book is pure genius!! The talent of this author shines through the superb story found within these pages of Ten Tiny Breaths. This is definitely a book you do not want to miss out on!!
I read Ten Tiny Breaths a few years ago and found myself surprised to love it as much as I did (hadn’t expected to initially). This is a book I actually reread in the hopes of giving a more detailed review but I never wrote that.
However, what I do strongly remember is that each time, the book left me feeling like grabbing on to every moment of life, and experiencing it fully. It took me on an emotional roller coaster and wrung me dry, yet left me full of feelings at the same time. I know I will be going back and reading it all over again before going to finish the series.
Thanks to NetGalley for the digital copy of the book (for that first reading!)
This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.
Unfortunately this book was a DNF for me. I didn't much care for Trent, and his stalkerish behavior, so unfortunately I couldn't keep reading. Thank you for the advance copy.
I chose K.A. Tucker’s Ten Tiny Breaths as an audiobook to accompany me on latest road trip. It was a compelling (and heartbreaking) tale about loss, redemption, new beginnings, and old wounds. The main character has a darkness to her that is not fully revealed until later in the book. When you learn about her PTSD, as well as the work she does to heal from it, you understand that we can all be made whole again if we are willing to look at what haunts our dreams and ask the hard questions.
I thought K.A. Tucker's characters had great depth, and I found myself moved deeply by the kindness of strangers who become friends, as well as the promises we make to the people we love. The plot was good and kept me invested in this story.
Fabulous read which has made me a loyal follower of this author's work. My next audio book of hers is lined up and ready to go.
It's been a while since I've read this one (cleaning out my feedback backlog! It wasn't my favorite NA but was a quick read once I suspended some disbelief and just read for fun. Might suggest it to fans of NA who've enjoyed similar titles.
This book has been on my radar for quite some time but I've never gotten around to reading it. I have a ton of books on my list but never seem to get around to them. I'm dedicating myself to finally getting around to those books for the next couple of years. I'm glad that this was one of the first that I dug into.
Ten Tiny Breaths promised a story of heartache and emotion, love, loss, and fight. It perfectly delivered on all of these fronts. Kacey's character was so torn and broken but, at the same time, was headstrong and didn't take crap from anyone. She fought as hard as she could to provide for herself and her sister in any way that she needed to. Even with all of her issues, she was a great person and a great big sister.
Trent was honestly dreamy. :P I really enjoyed his character from the very beginning and even during the confusing parts between him and Kacey (the characters were confused, not me as the reader) he was still easy to love and empathize with.
The secondary characters in this story were just as amazing. They each brought their own uniqueness to the story and often times brought a lightheartedness that was very much needed in the chapters of emotional turmoil.
There were a lot of things in this book that were easy to figure out and I was pretty good at guessing what was going to happen next. That didn't hinder the greatness of this story, however. The authors writing was great and she set a great stage for her characters and their issues.
If you're looking for an emotional read that promises to pull you in, I definitely recommend Ten Tiny Breaths.

I started to read this book, but then had trouble getting into it. It just seemed to drag on. I took a break and then restarted it. Once I came to the huge twist in the story, I was hooked!
Unfortunately, this book didn't appeal to me once I picked it up. However, I look forward to giving it another try in the future.
This is a great book. I couldn't put it down and was sad to see it end. Heartwrenching and beautifully written.
Unfortunately, this was a DNF for me. It will be included in our "Books We Didn't Finsih - January edition" post on From the TBR Pile on January 31, 2017 http://fromthetbrpile.blogspot.com/2017/01/books-we-didnt-finish-january-edition.html
My thoughts:
Ten Tiny Breaths: I've had this in my TBR pile forever. I got about 30% in and stopped. I've read much better NA books. There were too many unbelievable things in this book. Like how a 15 YO starts a new HS without transcripts. Kacey and Livie didn't do much to keep their identities hidden. Any PI could have found them easily. Trent was a stalker and manipulator. And I got tired of hearing how big Storm's chest was... I did peek at the end to see the reveal and just...no..
