God this was so close to getting a 4 star, but the ending of the break up really just.... yeah it was going so well and they were communicating about EVERYTHING else through the entire book! The smut was actually delicious and the characters were really wonderful!

Was a fantastic book! I stayed up all night reading it. The romance was properly paced out. I also enjoyed how the topics that were introduced were done openly and honestly.

Absolutely a great pick for romance readers.

Business or Pleasure was not my cup of tea. I am not a lover of a lot of open door bedroom scenes and steamy situations, of which there were a lot in this book. I skimmed a lot of it, as I liked the premise and wanted to see how it would end. Chandler Cohen is a ghostwriter, often writing books for influencers. She doesn't really like her job, but it pays the bills. She is offered the job of ghostwriting a celebrity book, although she has no idea who Finnegan Walsh is. When they meet, she realizes that this is the man she had a horrible one night stand with the previous evening. She still takes the job, but sets Finn straight. He doesn't know how to please a woman, but she is ready to help him learn. Finn was in a series that has a cult following and spends his time traveling around appearing at ComicCons. I did like seeing them get to know each other, and the process Chandler used to gather information to write the book. Of course with all the steam, you know it will eventually become real, and they develop feelings for one another. I liked Finn's character. He wasn't phony or think he was better than everyone else, which some of his castmates were. Overall, this was an interesting story, and even with the skimming of the steamy scenes, I enjoyed the bones of the story.

📚✨ Business or Pleasure by Rachel Lynn Solomon is the perfect blend of romance, wit, and heart. The story follows ghostwriter Chandler Cohen, who unexpectedly hooks up with her latest client—Finn, a former TV star with some ahem room for improvement in the bedroom. What follows is a laugh-out-loud funny yet deeply emotional journey as Chandler helps Finn with more than just his memoir!

I loved how Solomon captures real, raw chemistry between the characters while weaving in important conversations about intimacy, confidence, and self-discovery. Chandler and Finn’s connection is authentic, and watching their relationship evolve from awkward beginnings to something deeper was so satisfying.

With a balance of steamy romance, humor, and heartwarming moments, Business or Pleasure is a must-read for rom-com lovers. 💕

Big thanks to NetGalley, Berkley Romance, and PRH Audio for granting me access to both the audiobook and e-book! 🙏🎧📖

In Business or Pleasure, Rachel Lynn Solomon crafts a delightful romantic comedy that explores the complexities of love and self-discovery. The story follows Chandler, who helps Finn with his book while giving him sex lessons, all the while navigating her own quarter-life crisis and questioning her safe choices in life. The novel is praised for its sex positivity and realistic portrayal of communication in relationships, breaking away from the typical romantic tropes. With humor and heart, Solomon delivers a relatable journey of personal growth alongside a charming romance.

I love a good work romance, and while this isn't an *office* romance, per se, it's a near-perfect steamy read with a slow burn romance that really works and banter to beat the bands.

Obsessed. I love the characters. The chemistry was *chef's kiss*. I'm obsesswed with how HEALTHY the relationship between the characters is. Their communication, acceptance, and vulnerability with one another is so tender and sweet. I found the sotry refreshing, and I also loved how fleshed out the mmc was in Finn.

This was such a fun,, cutesy, and surprisingly spicy ride! Fell in love immediately with Fin! And love the name Chandler for our mc. I was honestly not expecting to love this books as much as i did. And that is always something great to find in a book.

I loved the idea of this book. A ghostwriter and a one night stand turns out to be the person she's meant to ghostwrite her next book for. Sadly it just didn't work out for me. I didn't feel the chemistry between the two main characters which made the spicy scenes not the best for me. It was cute but enjoyable but not my favorite book from RLS

This book was so cute! It wasn’t super unique, but I definitely enjoyed it and it would be a fun summer romance to read at the beach. Thank you netgalley for my free review copy.

Business or Pleasure by Rachel Lynn Solomon is a delightful read for anyone who craves a lighthearted, humorous romance with a touch of steaminess, particularly those who enjoy stories about overcoming insecurities, embracing vulnerability, and finding love in the most unexpected ways.

This was equal parts fun and sexy, wow. The chemistry between characters was PALPABLE and even the bits that were supposed to be tough between then didn't feel all that discouraging, which can happen too often in romance. It is without a doubt that I will continue to read any adult romance novel that Rachel Lynn Solomon publishes!

Steamy and witty romantic comedy. Enjoyed the fandom-adjacent setting and the premise, which lent to humor very well.

I am a huge fan of Solomon, and this book was another delight. I am really grateful for her Jewish characters, which are reliably not the same person every single time. I love the representation of mental health, and the lack of sexual shaming for whoever or whatever a person likes or has done. This book is a nice little bubble.

I loved this book- I'm a fan of the author, and I liked the premise a lot, so I'm not surprised I liked it so much.

I related a lot to the protagonists of this book (I'm Jewish and mentally ill) and their professional and personal frustrations. I really enjoyed the structure of the book following the couple on their journey across the country and also toward each other.

Calling this book a "slow burn" would be innacurate for the way the trope is usually used, but I could call this book an emotional slow burn. While Finn likes Chandler immediately, and they have chemistry, there is a lot of distance between them emotionally even when they are intimate physically. Though this is a single point of view, it's easy to see Finn starting to trust Chandler and open up to her.

I like the emotional arc of the book, and the world feels well-worn and present. My only gripe is that too much happens too quickly toward the end. There's a lot of development that happens subtly and slowly, and then it snaps into motion really quickly in the last fifty pages. I would have liked that climax of the story to happen a bit earlier, just to give it some time to come down for the happy ending. Otherwise, I love this story and continue to be a fan of the writer!

I love how Rachel always weaves themes of mental health in all her books. This one was serious and fun at the same time. Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for the opportunity to read in exchange for a review.

Rachel Lynn 🥵
This was a very fun divergence from her previous books, and the characters had a lot more fun throughout the book.
The ending was sweet but not the happily ever after, and the tension/conflicts was very believable and easy to follow.

I really enjoyed this book! Although I am a little late with this review, it should definitely be on your books “to be read” list!
Chandler and Finn are great characters, and I was glad to see the woman taking the lead!

as a long time fan of solomon's romance novels, i am happy to report i enjoyed her latest 'business or pleasure'. the story follows chandler, a professional ghostwriter who has an awkward one-night stand with a random guy, who turns out to be actor finn walsh, the guy she's partnering with on her latest project. when finn realizes their night was far from enjoyable for chandler, he enlists her to teach him in the 'art of seduction' when they're not working on his book. as the two grow closer, both must see if it's possible to have it all: a professional relationship & a romantic one. this was nerdy & fun & i had a great time. the chemistry was fantastic, and the story moved really well.
