So cute! I loved the sweet story, it was a quick read and warmed my heart. But I'm obsessed with the art style: the limited palette, the gentle hint towards Mucha's Art Nouveau... beautiful. This whole book is a work of art.

This was such a cute little graphic novel. I loved the plot of it and the drawing style really reminded me of an 80s cartoon. I thought it was great how Wisteria chose to do something that made her happy and help the sprites rediscover their love for taking care of plants. This story tells you to follow your heart and do what makes you happy and I think that that is a great message.

This is such a cute book!! The art style, the mood, the cute friendships that happened!! I really enjoyed reading this wholesome story between a sprite who loves helping gardens bloom and a gardener who's just trying her best, it's really easy to digest and AHHHHH it's just so beautiful!! The words are a little small and hard to read for me but other than that, I really recommend this book :))

The Sprite and the Gardener was the perfect dose of happiness that I needed today.

This graphic novel, with its absolutely beautiful illustrations in a warm pastel colour palette had minimal words, just enough for young readers to flow with the story while moving into their own imaginative space.

My daughter (9 years old) adores reading but the stories which match her current reading level are so predictable and don’t match her interests. This graphic novel meets all her reading desires, it’s fun, interesting, unique and takes her to a world which she can recreate herself, our backyard. It encourages her to find magic in her world and to connect with nature in her own backyard. It inspires her to join me in the garden. The details in the artwork help to tell the story in such an interesting way.

As an adult reader I enjoyed the beauty of both the story and the stunning illustrations. It captivated me and warmed my heart. I love my garden and often find the busyness of life keeps me from it. When I manage to get out in my garden I feel a sense of peace and the connection with nature washes my worries away. This book held me in those same feelings.

I truly hope that there are plans to make this graphic novel a series.

I enjoyed this graphic novel from Netgalley but will be purchasing a hard copy for our family upon release as it was so gorgeous.

"everything is alright.....or at least it will be"

That is the vibe that this book gave me the entire time I was reading it. Not only did the book have beautiful art and style, it has a wonderful message and story that shinned through in every way. I loved Wisteria from the moment I saw her and her friends. I adored the way that the message was to help one another and you can't always do something on your own despite how hard you want too.

Pros:
The art is stunning and the color ways that were chosen for this graphic novel are perfect
The story is cozy and kind and has a great moral to it

Cons:
The graphic novel needs to be longer and have more editions with more adventures!!
At times I wanted there to be more words, but the art is so stunning that I can accept there not being as many words :) - Such a small grip that I can't really even count it as a con

This was a joy to read, exactly what I needed to decompress. This is a beautifully illustrated graphic novel where the pictures do most of the storytelling. There was hardly any dialogue but I don't think it needed much due to the detailed illustrations. I loved this so much and would happily read an entire series based on these sprites!

The Sprite and the Gardener was the most wholesome graphic novel I have read in some time, maybe ever. The drawings are absolutely gorgeous and the messages that pop up during the story are simply wonderful. Half way through, I started to get goosebumps and they didn't stop until way after finishing.

The art in this book is magical! It really transports you to this magical garden landscape, and I loved the illustrations of flowers throughout. If you're looking for a book that's a quick, cozy read, this is definitely something I'd recommend. It fits along the lines of Tea Dragon Society, and could be a good kind of palette cleanser if you need something after a particularly sad book.

There's not a whole lot to the actual story; it's relatively simple and pretty adorable in itself. Some of the characters and the world had potential to be expanded a little more, but it's still an enjoyable read of itself. Wisteria finds purpose in helping Elena with her garden, and eventually gets everyone else to help. Seriously adorable if you're looking for something sweet!

A sweet debut by Rii Abrego & Joe Whitt

The Sprite and the Gardener tells the story of finding your place, using your intuition, helping others and nature, whilst making some friends along the way - even if some are more unlikely than others!

The colour palette of this graphic novel caught my eye immediately- the pastels matched with deep apricots coloured line work creates a beautiful, summer evening aesthetic - a lulling warm evening in August… where a sprite takes a chance on a human.

This was a sweet family-friendly graphic novel.

Thank you to the publisher and net galley for providing me an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This graphic novels was just so cozy, wholesome and overall lovely. The art style was also beautifully done in beautiful pastel oranges, pinks, purples and yellows. The message in this story was also really simple showcasing the importance of bonding, friendship, determination and collaboration, Wysteria and the gardener were wonderful characters who learned from one another and grew together.

I would highly recommend this if you want a short, cozy read with beautiful illustrations. It's definitely a book I'll read to my younger sister.

I’m inspired to add to my plant family now 🌱 this is such a sweet tale of little flower sprites realigning with their naturalistic power and befriending human gardeners. The illustrations are SO beautiful! I don’t typically rate graphic novels but this one is just too heartwarming and beautifully illustrated not to give 5 ⭐️

This was a super cute - beautifully illustrated graphic novel. I loved the artwork and the wholesome story of this book. The plot was nice and straight to the point, and wasn't over complicated for such a small novel.

Beautifully illustrated and a really adorable story. This is a very short graphic novel but gets it point across.
This story reminds you that it's ok to ask for help and working together is nothing to be ashamed of. A great lesson for both children and adult
I feel this message is central to the story.
Perfect if you love gardening and sprites.

It’s such a short yet extremely wonderful story and I really love how Elena and Wisteria bonded. And the gardening! It’s just beautiful.

Thank you to NetGalley and Oni Press for the ARC.

A lovely wholesome story. The art gets increasingly more beautiful as the garden at the centre of the story grows and matures - really lovely artwork and a simple pleasant story about working together.

This is a cozy little fantasy graphic novel that features sprites and flowers. I loved the whimsy of the sprites and the determination of the gardener. After reading the note at the end, I’m amazed that they made a whole story based on one drawing. The artwork is cute just like the story. I think this could be read by middle grade on up.

This is incredibly adorable and extremely wholesome! The story follows a sprite named Wisteria who helps a young gardener restore her garden. While the story is simple and it’s a very quick read, the artwork is beautiful. The pastel colors really add to the light and happy mood of the graphic novel and really ties in well with the story. You get a small glimpse of the personalities of the characters but I would love to get to know some of the them more and see the friendship between Wisteria and Elena grow. I absolutely loved the lesson of sometimes some problems are just too big for one person to do alone even when you have the best intentions. So cute!
