Thank you @macmillanaudio @smpromance @netgalley for a copy of the audio and ebook. This was my favorite of this series and bummed we got all 3 sister's stories and there will not be more of their story.

The story focuses on Harley who had a crush on a single dad when she was 18 and meets a few years later on a chance. I love how the story showed that grieving process and it doesn't end in a few years - it felt so real.

I love Gavin's devotion to Peyton and seeing his struggle with his relationship with his in laws. His MIL was so overbearing and made me cringe. The star of the book was Peyton, she was such a sweetheart.

I enjoyed seeing Gavin & Harley's friendship develop into love and also Harley's growth as well.

I’m so sad this series about the Spark sisters is over but the ending of this book got me right in the feels and I’m not going to lie I cried.
From the prologue you knew this was going to be an emotional book. In the prologue alone I was slightly sad and empathic and then was like “oh boy, don’t do that! It’s a mistake!” And then it ended on well damn!

Make a Wish starts with 20 year old Harley caring for 18 month of Peyton who’s mom died in childbirth and who’s father is grieving. Peyton and Gavin move away leaving Harley sad and hurt. 7 years later they magically end up back in her life and sparks between Gavin and Harley start to fly.

But Gavin has to move on and figure out if he can love Harley the way she deserves. Not going to lie there was a moment I was so mad at him I wanted to bury him. My only complaint is that their could have been more groveling.
Favorite quote:

“One day very soon I intend to eat you like your my last meal” - Gavin

I also really enjoyed the narrators, they did a really excellent job. I could really tell when they were speaking as other characters and they really added to the story.

I love Helena Hunting's books and this Spark House series has been such a wonderful journey.

Make A Wish is the story of the third Spark sister, Harley. About 8 years ago Harley worked for Gavin, a widowed father, as the live in nanny to help care for his infant daughter, Peyton. One particular hard night when the Peyton was teething and not sleeping, Harley and Gavin had a moment where they almost kissed. Shortly thereafter, Gavin and Peyton moved away devastating Harley. Now Peyton is 9 years old and she and Gavin show up at the Spark House at a birthday party hosted by Harley and completely throws her for a loop. Gavin and Harley reconnect and realize the attraction is still just as strong as it had been before he left but Peyton is still haunted by feelings that she caused Gavin and Petyon to move away all those years ago and Gavin is still dealing with the grief over the loss of his wife. Can they overcome the hurdles in their way to find their way to happiness?

This story was so sweet. I don't think I can pick a favorite Spark sister because I have loved all of these books but this one definitely hit me in all the feels. I love single parent stories and this one did such a great job of exploring those dynamics of what it is like to try to explore a new relationship while still needing to put your child's needs first.

I loved Harley. She was sweet and kind and so spunky. I also loved that we got to see both POVs in this book because Gavin had such internal struggles over so many things, it was good to see where he was coming from on things. This is a touching story of grief and loss and moving forward that will have you reaching for those kleenex.

I listened to the audio book and if you have ever listened to a Helena Hunting book you are familiar with the amazing narration that Jason Clarke and Stella Bloom offer. They are constants when listening to Helena's books and I love them both so much. They did an amazing job reading this story and conveying all the emotion that the story line packs with it. My heart broke over and over for these characters and in part because of the emotion with which Jason and Stella read.

Overall, this is an excellent read and I will be sad to see the Spark sisters come to an end.

4.5 stars.

Thank you to MacMillan Audio, SMP Romance and Helena Hunting for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

First of all I have to say that I love this Narrator. She is able to give voice to male, female and even children characters.
As for the book… I have loved this series. But this book really got to me. It isn’t just a simple love story. It includes a father, daughter and a MIL named Karen (for good reason). I absolutely recommend this book, but more so, sit down and have a listen.

TW : Parental Loss, Spousal loss, manipulation

Thank you to Social Butterfly PR, Netgalley, and St. Martin’s Press for providing me with an ARC to review.

This is the third book in the Spark House series and it follows the final sister Harley. I had my eye out for an arc of this book after I won an arc of book 2 last year in a giveaway and loved it and then read book 1 which I also loved. This book was my favorite of the three and while you don’t have to read them in order I would recommend it as this book becomes even more fun if you already know and love the couples from the first two books. This book had me crying at the end and just had such a powerful story.

This book follows Harley while she is struggling to find her place at the Spark House with all of the changes that are happening. During the last birthday party she gets to host she learns that a dad she used to nanny for before she decided to work at the Spark house has moved back. She agrees to go out to lunch with him and his daughter who she helped raise for a year and a half when she was first born after his wife died and then eventually they keep hanging out. When she realizes old feelings haven’t left and he realizes maybe he always had feelings for her, how can they both tackle their relationship when many things seem to be against it.

The romance in this book was well developed because Harley and Gavin spend a lot of time as friends before going to anything more. I also loved the relationship between Harley and Payton, Gavin’s daughter. It felt so real and Payton was adorable throughout this whole book.

The discussion on how trauma like losing you partner the same day you gained your child and how that affects everything even in ways you might not know was amazing. Gavin struggles to accept that he isn’t replacing his wife by dating and loving Harley and coming to terms with that was well done. I find that Helena Hunting always does discussions on therapy well also as there was multiple mentions of couple therapy during the book not just to save relationships but to strengthen them so they don’t reach that point and using it as a way to guide open communication in a relationship. I feel like couples therapy is only ever mentioned as a way to try and salvage relationships and never is talked about in a way to help relationships survive and thrive.

I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a single dad romance, family connections, and an adorable romance.

There will be an update to this soon as I got an audio arc also but I wanna listen to some of it so I can mention the narrators.

(Update)
I like both of the narrators. I am learning I don’t really like male narrators 99% of the time. I just can’t get over the female voices they attempt to do and it always is weird. This narrator was better than some as I can tell who is talking but I didn’t love it. I did not listen to the whole book as I got the audio arc when I was 80% into the ebook already and didn’t feel like switching. I liked the female narrator and I might see what else she has done.

I’m so sad this series is over! I loved it so much!! I could relate to Harley so much. She is so relatable. She has such a love for kids and family. Gavin is a great dad and sweet man. The romance is sweet and steamy. I highly recommend this series. Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the audio arc in exchange for my honest review.

My wish is that this series doesn’t have to end! I have loved each and every one of the Spark sisters stories, and Harley’s was no different.

Blurb: Ever have a defining life moment you wish you could do over? Harley Spark has one. The time she almost kissed the widowed father of the toddler she nannied for. It was so bad they moved across the state and she never saw them again.

Fast forward seven years and she’s totally over it. At least she thinks she is. Until Gavin Rhodes and his adorable now nine-year-old daughter, Peyton, reappear at a princess-themed birthday party hosted by Spark House, Harley’s family’s event hotel. It’s the perfect opportunity to heal old wounds. Or it could just reopen them. This is one of those times Harley wishes she could see the future…

I could not put this one down! I devoured it in less than 24 hours. I loved Harley and Gavin. Watching her growth, and seeing her find her voice. Watching him overcome so much and open up to love again after loss. Peyton absolutely stole my heart. I adored her relationships with both Gavin and Harley, and seeing this family come together. Even Karen came around. 😂

And how about that ending? It had me in tears. Hunting brought out ALL the feels.

What I adored;
✨Single Dad
✨Second Chance Love
✨Family Bonds/Sisterly Love
✨Age Gap

The audio was fantastic! Stella Bloom and Jason Clarke were perfection.

Thank you Macmillan Audio, NetGalley, and Helena Hunting for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book! If you are looking for a light, fluffy, feel-good romance, give this a try! The book surprised me because I did not expect some of the funny moments. It had me laughing out loud in some places. I also did not expect it to be as spicy as it was. It caught me off guard the first time but I did not mind it.

This is the third book in the series and I did not realize that before I started listening. You can definitely enjoy this as a standalone if you did not read the prior books.

The narrators did a great job. In the middle I did put it on 1.25 speed just because of my impatience. Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for allowing me to listen to and review this book.

Harley loves kids and she grew attached to single dad Gavin and his daughter Peyton while she nannied for them. But when Gavin and Peyton move away and unexpectedly return 7 years later, Harley can’t seem to shake the connection she once had with Peyton… and possibly Gavin, too.

My favorite of the 3 Spark books, MAKE A WISH dealt with serious themes on top lighter ones and steam of course. It was about navigating a relationship with both an age gap and a 9-year-old daughter. So many complex emotions were interwoven, but I just couldn’t help but empathize with Harley. She was such a patient and loving MC. Definitely recommend!

Make a Wish is my favorite of the 3 Spark House books! I really liked the characters and I’m a sucker for a single parent romance. Definitely will be picking up a copy when the book is released!

Not my favourite book in this little trilogy, but nevertheless, it was some good, fluffy, romantic fun with a bit of angst and a guaranteed happy ending. I enjoyed most of the story and liked being able to see where a few of the characters from the previous novels had ended up. Some parts of the story could have pulled me in a bit more effectively, but it was still a nice, light read.

I love this series! It’s so fun to read books where the characters pop up again later. This series has been great to read with each new book.

Out now!
The holidays give me more time to listen to books and this one hit the spot. Narrated by Jason Clarke and Stella Bloom I love how they portrayed Hailey and Gavin. This is the third book in the series but it served well as a stand alone. There were plenty of laughs and surprises which made this an enjoyable listen for me.

Apparently, this book was #3 in a series. It could have held its own though. Harley Spark works with her sisters in a family business running a boutique events hotel, Spark House, after she almost kissed the widowed father, Gavin, of the baby she nannied for. Seven years later, she runs into Gavin and his daughter at a birthday party and sparks start the fly again. Is it possible for Gavin to move on from this deceased wife and put everything he has into Harley? The Mother-in-Law of Gavin is awful and the protagonist in this story. Will she ever stop meddling in Gavin’s life to allow him to move on? I really connected with the characters. There were some funny, sad, and heartfelt moments throughout. I listened to the audiobook version and loved how the narrators portrayed Harley and Gavin. The ending was perfection!

Ok, this may be my favorite of the series thus far - I definitely felt more for these characters than I did the previous story!

* a single-dad (and sorta nanny) romance
* the most adorable 9 year old daughter who you will fall in love with
* a loving FMC who really finds her voice throughout the story

Overall, this was a very cute, easy read that surprisingly had me in my feelings towards the end. I did have an issue with the pacing of this one - I'm not entirely sure why, but the middle part just didn't work for me - but I still enjoyed this and was definitely routing for this cute family to get their HEA.

Thank you for the advanced listen to the audio book of Make a Wish!

I was not aware that this was a part of a series when I started, but thought it was a good stand alone regardless and am now eager to read the rest!

I throughly enjoyed this one. Lots of laughs and surprises. If you want a good listen or read, you will not be disappointed!

This was a slow burn, starting off with a flashback scene followed by the rest of the story in the present tense. I really enjoyed getting to see what happens in the final installment of this series. These sisters have been so sweet to get to know throughout these books so I’m excited to see what Harley’s story is all about. This story handles some beautiful topics about second chances, moving on after loss, handling delicate family situations and moving forward to create the life they want.

Read this if you love:
💙 second chance romance
💙 single parent
💙 age gap
💙 healing after grief

Two open door scenes, one fade to black scene. Easily skippable if that’s what you prefer. Many thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this audiobook. The two narrators did a great job of bringing this dual POV story to life.

I have listened to all the books in this series. This is one is my absolute favorite. It hit me in all the feels. Harley and Gavin just worked as a couple from page one. The author did a great job of showing the reader the grief a husband and new father might go through if he'd just lost the love of his life. Harley was kind and forgiving. This book was very well written with lots of wonderful conflict to keep me listening all day long. I finished this book in one day. I loved Harley's interaction with Gavin's daughter. Both the hero and heroine had great backstories and were very well developed characters with flaws. The narrators did a great job. Huge thanks to the audiobook publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to listen and review this book.

I didn't get to read the book but I did get to listen to it and I loved the story I loved the girl who narrated but not the guy so much but you should definitely give it a go if you read or if you listen

Harley works with her sisters at their family inn, but Harley is also feeling like she doesn't have a concrete place on the team. She loves managing the birthday parties but it's being discussed that maybe the birthday parties are not a good financial decision.

Then enters Gavin and his daughter, who just so happened to be previous nanny clients of Harley's.

This is a very cute second chance romance between the youngest of the sisters & a single dad. I loved the interactions between Harley & Peyton as well as Gavin & Peyton. However, it felt very much so like an insta-love trope which is not my favorite.

However, I felt like the author touched on the single parent struggles (when dealing with a love interest) well and the story has a very good flow.

Thank you Netgalley and MacMillan Audio for the ARC in exchange for my unbiased review.
